TOPIC: EXPERIENCING GOD'S MIRACLE/WONDER.PART 1.
TEXT: 2KINGS 5:1-14.
MINISTERING: PASTOR T. F. ADEPOJU.
INTRODUCTION
Any time we come to the presence of God, I believe we all come with the expectations. And also always ready to bless us, but it is unfortunate that most time we miss the blessings that He might have package for us!
FROM THE TEXT:
Naaman was a warrior, a army officer, a well respected soldier whom through him God has won many victories for Sirians. But had a disease that refuses to be healed.
As we consider the life of Naaman, we will be looking at Three things that can or could hinder our miracle from God.
1. BRINGING YOUR STATUS OR POSITION TO THE PRESENCE OF GOD. (v1,9,11).
Naaman allowed his success and position in the city of Siria to entered his head to the point that he seethe instruction of the Prophet of God as an insult to his position.
Anytime you are coming to the presence of God, drop your position. The position that cannot give you solution to your problem, please drop it if you want to experience wonders of God.
2. EXPECTING GOD TO DO IT IN YOUR OWN WAY.(v10-12).
Naaman expected the man of God to take 5steps towards his healing in v11. But once the Prophet gave contrary instruction, he became furious and nearly missed his miracle.
Don't expect a standard operation procedure from God. His(God) way is different from ours. YBH 257, stanza 3. God can use anybody and anything in anyway to bring solution to your case.
3. RELATING TO GOD THROUGH ASSUMPTION. v11.
Naaman said, "I thought" forgot that our God doesn't operate based on human assumption but on human faith (Heb.11:6).
Assuming this is how God will settle your matter maybe sleeping onyhebed of disappointment.
CONCLUSION
If not for divine intervention, Naaman would missed his healing forever. Many people have missed the wonder of God for their lives simply because of these three factors; social status, personal terms and assumption.
