MEDITATION:
Some people separate the law and the prophets from the gospel of Jesus Christ. They say that Jesus' dispensation has condemned the law and prophets. This is a delusion. Jesus said in verse 17 that He has not come to destroy the law (Exodus 20) and prophets but to fulfill them! No wonder, He made sure He fulfilled ALL the prophecies written about Him! Do not believe the lies of the enemy by taking some aspect of the Bible lightly. Nothing is obsolete in the Bible, be warned!

PRAYER:
Ask for forgiveness today if you are guilty of verse 19 and make amend.

SALT AND LIGHT OF THE WORLD (MAY 23, SATURDAY 2026)

MEDITATION:
Jesus called Christians two important things in today's passage: Salt and Light. The two are essentials; no one can do without salt and light. Salt gives taste while light gives direction. This is what is expected of us wherever God has placed us in life (family, office, school, society or community), we must give taste and direction or else we will be useless. Jesus was both while He was on the earth He gave taste (healing, deliverance) and light (knowledge, good news of the kingdom). Aspire to do likewise henceforth.

PRAYER:
Pray that you will know how to be salt and light where God has placed you.

TREMBLE AT HIS WORD (MAY 22, FRIDAY 2026)

MEDITATION:
Isaiah 66:2 says, “…Unto this man will I look, even to him that is poor of a contrite spirit and tremble at my words”. The passage today contains the words of God. How do you react to it? Do you tremble at His word or take it for granted? Saul the first king of Israel took the word of God lightly and paid dearly for it. The beatitudes are the attitude expected of every Christian and they must be obeyed to get the results.

PRAYER:
Pray that you will understand the beatitudes and obey them.
