πŸ“œ TOPIC: GOD'S JUDGEMENT ON THE REBELLIOUS PEOPLE

πŸ“– GOLDEN TEXT: EZEKIEL 12: 9-20

[9] β€œSon of man, did not the Israelites, that rebellious people, ask you, β€˜What are you doing?’
[10] β€œSay to them, β€˜This is what the Sovereign Lord says: This prophecy concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the Israelites who are there.’
[11] Say to them, β€˜I am a sign to you.’ β€œAs I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives.
[12] β€œThe prince among them will put his things on his shoulder at dusk and leave, and a hole will be dug in the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land. [13] I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.
[14] I will scatter to the winds all those around himβ€”his staff and all his troopsβ€”and I will pursue them with drawn sword.
[15] β€œThey will know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
[16] But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
[17] The word of the Lord came to me:
[18] β€œSon of man, tremble as you eat your food, and shudder in fear as you drink your water.
[19] Say to the people of the land: β€˜This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.
[20] The inhabited towns will be laid waste and the land will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:

Say to them, 'I am a sign to you'. "As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives" Ezekiel 12:11

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT

In Ezekiel 12:9-20, God tells Ezekiel to act out what will happen to Jerusalem. He packs his things, digs through a wall at night, and leaves in the dark with his face covered. It’s a sign to show the people that their king and leaders will soon be forced into exile in the same shameful way.

The reason is their rebellion. They heard God’s warnings but treated them like empty words, saying the visions would never come true. God answers that His words will no longer be delayed. What He speaks will happen.

This judgement isn’t random. God says it will come so β€œthat they may know that I am the Lord.” When exile and hardship arrive, their false sense of security will break, and they will see that God had been speaking all along.

The warning still stands today. God’s patience is not permission to ignore Him. When we keep living in rebellion and assume there will be no consequences, we repeat Israel’s mistake. His judgement is sure, and His call is to turn back before it’s too late.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
πŸ™πŸ½ I refuse the Spirit of rebellion in my life.
πŸ™πŸ½I follow Jesus all the days of my life. AMEN

SPECIAL PRAYERS
🎯God will make a way even where there seems to be no way.
🎯The Lord, by His might, shall set all captives of the evil ones free. AMEN

πŸ“œ TOPIC: THE DAY OF THE LORD

πŸ“– GOLDEN TEXT: 2 PETER 3:9-18

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up (2 Peter 3:10).

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT
Are you ready for the day of the Lord? The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night and in our today’s devotion, I want us to see the day of the Lord as the day you will be done with your assignment here on earth, are you ready for the day?

If it happens that the Lord calls you today where will you spend your eternity? Where you spend your eternity will be largely determined by how you spend your life here on earth, and that birthes another question; How are you living your life and are you ready for the day of the Lord?

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father and that is why you ought to be prepared and ready at all time, I pray God will help us to live a life that will qualify us to spend our eternity with Him in Jesus name. Amen.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
πŸ™πŸ½ Father, give me the grace to reign with You in eternity.
πŸ™πŸ½ Father give me the grace to please You always.
πŸ™πŸ½ Father, help me not to miss heaven in Jesus name.

πŸ“œ TOPIC: CONSEQUENCES OF WICKEDNESS

πŸ“– GOLDEN TEXT: PSALM 1:4-6

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (PSALM 1:6)

πŸ“BRIEF COMMENT
There are consequences for whatever a man does, be it good or bad. This also has to do with who you associate yourself with. It is often said that "show me your friends and I will tell you who you are". If your friends are wicked people, chances are you are also a wicked person and if your friends are good people, chances are high that you will also be a good person.

The Bible says in Psalm 1:1 – 3: _"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."_

The blessings of the Lord are definitely going to be with His people. And on the contrary it is not so for the wicked people. The Bible says - "_But the way of the ungodly shall perish_". The reward for ungodliness and wicked people is that they shall perish and the wrath of God will come on them.

You are encouraged to examine your life and make amendments where necessary and the Lord will help you.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
πŸ™πŸ½ Father, help me to live the life that pleases You.
πŸ™πŸ½ Father give me the grace to live a life of righteousness.

πŸ“œ TOPIC: OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE

πŸ“– GOLDEN TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 15:17-23

17 And Samuel said, when thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?

18 And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.

19 Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the Lord, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the Lord?

20 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

21 But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal.

22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams (1 Samuel 15:22).

πŸ“BRIEF COMMENT
God has been so kind to King Saul right from how he was made a king even when he least expected it. God crowned him a king to rule over His people and to obey Him.

From our text today we saw how God instructed Him to destroy everything Amalek, but in his own heart, he felt he was wise in an attempt to give God good burnt offering, he disobeyed God.

A lot of us are trapped in situations like this. We tend to think we want to do things for God, we want to please God and end up disobeying.

Obedience is better than sacrifice.

God is more interested in your obedience than your sacrifice, He wants you to obey Him, do His commandment and will, and I pray the grace to do that God will give to us in Jesus name. Amen.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
πŸ™πŸ½ Father, let the spirit of obedience fall on me.

πŸ“œ TOPIC: THE COST OF DISOBEDIENCE

πŸ“– GOLDEN TEXT: GENESIS 3:9 -19

9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? (Genesis 3:11)

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT
In the beginning, Adam and Eve were friends of God. God always visits them and spends time with them everyday, there's a mutual relationship between then and God, because they were obedient to God and He was pleased with them.

From our text, we see what happened when they disobeyed, they were no longer the same again, the same man that is happy to spend time with God is now hiding from God. Why?

Because of disobedience. Disobedient is doing contrary to the instructions or commandments of God. Adam and Eve disobey and they begin to hide from God, and in our golden text we see that Adam was looking for whom to blame for his sin, the same way you look for who to blame when you disobey God.

And reading further, we see how God pronounced judgement upon them.

The Cost of Disobedience:
It makes you hide from God.
It makes God to be far from you.
It brings curse upon your life.

I pray God gives us the grace to live in obedience for the rest of our lives in Jesus name.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 Then the LORD rained upon S***m and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed (Genesis 19:17).

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT
The word is full of sinful acts and all forms of immorality and the story of the city of S***m and Gomorrah comes to mind. They are people who derive pleasure in doing contrary to the will of God, to the point that God was angry with them.

God was ready to destroy the city, but in there were Lot and His family.

In this word that is full of unrighteousness and all forms of immorality, what is God saying about you? Can God vouch for you just like He did for Job? This is another opportunity for you to make your ways right with God peradventure You have gone astray or deviated from the will of God.

The word of God is coming to you today, repent and give your life to God, make your way right with Him again now because tomorrow may be too late.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:_
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22)

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT:
We have constantly been hearing the word of God, but the question is: what have you been doing with it?

Some people are good in preaching the word of God but they are not doers of it, some are good hearers and listeners of the word of God but are not doers and we have those that are the doers of the word of God.

Please pause for a while and ask yourself, "which category am I?" Am I just a hearer, a preacher or a doer of the word of God. If you are just a hearer or a preacher, you are only deceiving yourself, you are likened to a man beholding his natural face in a mirror and then forget how you look after a while.

This is God's warning to you, don't just be a hearer or a speaker but the doer of the word of God.

As a doer of God's word you will be blessed and you will consistently live a life that pleases God.

May the Lord will give us the grace to be doers of His word in Jesus name. Amen.

🧠 MEMORY VERSE:
Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD (EZEKIEL 11:10).

πŸ“ BRIEF COMMENT
In our bible text for today, God spoke against the leaders and people who were living in disobedience and wickedness. They believed they were safe within the city and thought judgment would never come upon them. But God declared that because of their evil deeds, injustice and refusal to obey His commandments, judgment would surely come.

God warned them that He sees every action, every secret thought, and every evil plan. No one can hide from His presence. The people of Israel had followed the ways of the heathen nations around them instead of obeying God’s laws. Because of this, God promised to bring punishment upon them and remove their false sense of security.

Our God is holy and righteous. He hates sin and will judge every unrepentant sinner. Many people today live carelessly, thinking that God does not see or that judgment will never come. Some oppress others, cheat, lie, hate and refuse to repent. But the Word of God reminds us that there is consequence for disobedience.

Brethren, you must examine your life daily. Walk in obedience, humility, holiness and love for God. Do not follow the sinful ways of the world or join evil practices. God’s judgment is real, but His mercy is also available to those who genuinely repent and turn back to Him. Live uprightly and remain faithful so that you may receive His favor instead of condemnation.

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS:
πŸ™πŸ½ Lord, help me to walk in righteousness and obedience to Your Word.
πŸ™πŸ½ Deliver me from every sinful way and give me a heart that fears You.
πŸ™πŸ½ Yahweh, let Your mercy speak for me, and keep me from falling under Your judgment. Amen.

SPECIAL PRAYER
🎯 Father, empower all ministers of God all over the world.
