*TOPIC:* Running to win:

*MEMORY VERSE:*
_2 Timothy 2:5 "Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules" (NIV).

*SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE:*
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
24 "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible".
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

*MESSAGE:*
Christian journey is a race which starts the moment a person give his/her life to Christ and terminates at the second coming of Christ or at death.
A race is defined as "A contest between people, ... where the goal is to be the first to reach some objective. It is also defined as a progressive movement toward a goal.
Apostle Paul, in our scriptural passage, 1 Corinthians' 9:24 admonishes us that we should run the race, not just for the fun of it but with the aim and determination to win. He did not only admonishes us to run to win but also gave us some tips on how to run the race to win, which we shall be looking into this morning. To win in a race, one must follow the rules guiding the race _(2 Timothy 2:5)._ The first rule in any race is enlistment. Some people are not enlistment for the Christian race. They just saw people running the race and they joined them on the field. The enlistment for Christian race is your salvation experience. To those that are not enlisted but yet running the race, Jesus said, at the finishing point, when they come for their prizes, he will tell them _"... But I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Matthew 7:23 (NLT)._
I know you must have seen some people on the main roads covering potholes and begging commuters to give them money for the job they claim to be doing. If you are the State governor or the local government chairman and at the end of the month those people comes to you for their salaries, what will you say? _"Get away from me, for I don't know you"_ of course. If you are already in this race and you know that you have not been enlisted for it, that is, you have not given your life to Christ as your Lord and Saviour, it is not too late, do so as you are reading this digest now and God will have mercy on you.
We shall continue tomorrow from where we stopped today.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
1. Thank God for bringing this daily digest across your path this morning.
2. The word of God says "Examine yourself whether ye be in faith ..." Pray that God should help you to examine and discover yoursef.
3. Pray to God to help you to the end of the race, that you will finish strong.
4. Pray for the Pastor of your church that God should have mercy on him so that after he has won so many souls for Christ, he himself will not be a castaway.

*TOPIC:* Prayer moves man's heart.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will".

*SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE:*
Ezra 1:1-3
1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.

*MESSAGE:*
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools a believer possesses, but not all prayers are equal in their effectiveness. A prayer that will move man's heart must move God's heart who will in turn move man's heart.Prayers that will move God's heart and provoke divine responses are prayers that align with God's will and offered with a sincere heart.
In the book of Daniel chapter 9, Daniel prayed for the restoration of the Jews after the seventy (70) years of captivity in Babylon, prophesied by Prophet Jeremiah had been accomplished. And because someone prayed, God heard and in response touched and stirred the heart of their captor, a heathen king to to release them and rebuild their temple that had been burnt down by his father, even from the national treasury.
As you pray this morning, in line with the will of God, the Lord will touch the hearts of your destiny helpers and give you favour in the sight to respond to your cry as touching your needs. Not only that, He will use them to raise a workforce that will support your project or mission.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
1. Thank God for the gift of another beautiful day.
2. Pray that God should open the door of the hearts of your divine destiny helpers for you as you pray this morning.
3. Pray that God should give you favour in the sight of everyone you will be in contact with today.
4. As you go out this morning, soak your entire family members in the blood of Jesus for divine shielding from every evil arrow of the enemy.

*SANCTUARY DAILY DIGEST*

Wednesday 21st May, 2025.

*TOPIC:* You are born to shine.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee".

*SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE:*
Matthew 2:1-2
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

*MESSAGE:*
You star will shine at the highest intensity before this month runs out in Jesus' name.
Yesterday, I talked on "arise" as one of our responsibilities at the season of glory. Today, I will be talking on the second responsibility which is "Shine".
What does it mean shine? It is to EXCEL. The person shinning is not just succeeding but he is EXCELLING, meaning he is doing much more than others; succeeding much more than others and that’s why those who are VERY SUCCESSFUL in any sphere of life are called “STARS". Christian Ronaldo became a football star but he wasn't the only one on the field, there are others, it is only that his time to manifest his glory has come. I pray for you that you shall be joining the Stars this year in Jesus' name.
For you to become a Star you must know the secrets behind excelling above others?
Let's use Isaac as our case study. The Bible says he was so blessed that he became known all over to an extent that the whole nation began to envy him. What was responsible for this kind or level of glory? One, Isaac was blessed before he was born. When God was blessing Abraham, He siad "... in your seed shall all the family of the Earth be blessed". I congratulate you this morning if you have given your life to Christ because, you are a seed of Abraham just like Isaac. Not only that, Isaac surrender himself totally to his father to be sacrificed to God - Genesis 22:15-18. Furthermore, Isaac was totally obedient to God - Genesis 26:1-6.
There are three main reasons why no devil can stop you from shinning. One, you have been born and once no one has the power to stop you from been born, no one has the power to stop you from menifesting the glory of God - Isaiah 43:7.
Two, you became a son of God, a seed of Abraham. Finally, Jesus declared that you are the light of the world and what does light do? To shine of course - John 1:5.
What happens when you begin to shine:
1. Your fame will begin to spread around, even where people never knew you and where they will never see your face.
2. you will begin to attract people from far and near. Everyone will like to identify with you.
3. You will be worshipped. Both old and young will knee down or prostrate for you.
4. People will like to give you gifts, even the poor.
Biblical example of people that experience this level of glory are: Jesus, Joseph, Isaac, Solomon, Job to mention but a few.

I pray for you again that this season of glory will not pass you by in Jesus' name.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
1. Thank God for the season of your glory that has come.
2. Pray that God should help you to do all that you need to do in this season of your glory so that you will not miss your time.
3. Pray that God should release upon you excellent spirit for excellent performance.
4. Pray that God should strengthen his church in Nigeria so as to be able to stand against every opposition.

I declare and decree that this year is your year of manifestation. Therefore I declare the judgement of God over anything or anybody overshadowing your star in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
