STILL ON THE SPIRIT OF MEN'S CONVENTION.
TOPIC:Don't’t Just Ask God to Increase Your Income; Ask Him to Increase Your Impact
Primary Texts: Genesis 12:2–3; Matthew 5:13–16; Acts 1:8; Proverbs 11:25
Introduction My beloved family, Many people spend their prayer lives asking God for more money, a better job, a larger business, or greater financial opportunities. While there is nothing wrong with asking God to meet our needs, Scripture reveals that God’s greater purpose is not merely to increase our income but to increase our impact.
Money is a tool, but impact is a legacy.
A person can earn millions and be forgotten within a generation. Another person may possess modest wealth yet transform countless lives through faithfulness, wisdom, generosity, and service. God is looking for people whose influence reflects His kingdom.
God never called Abraham simply to become rich; He called him to become a blessing.
Our general theme for men's convention. What Is Impact?
Impact is the positive influence your life has on people, families, communities, and generations for the glory of God.
Impact means:
* Solving problems.
* Bringing hope where there is despair.
* Leading others toward Christ.
* Raising future leaders.
* Leaving behind a godly legacy.
As Liberty Men Why does God Prioritizes Impact
1. God’s purpose has always been to bless others through His people.
Genesis 12:2
“I will bless you… and you shall be a blessing.”
Notice the order:
* God blesses.
* Then we become a blessing.
God’s blessings are meant to flow through us, not stop with us.
2. Impact is the foundation of lasting prosperity.
When Joseph interpreted dreams, Egypt was preserved from famine.
When Daniel exercised wisdom, kingdoms sought his counsel.
When Esther obeyed God, a nation was preserved.
Their influence created opportunities that also brought promotion.
3. Heaven measures significance differently.
The world measures success by possessions.
God measures success by obedience, faithfulness, and transformed lives.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Seven Ways God Increases Your Impact
1. Increase your intimacy with Him.
Great impact begins with a deep relationship with God.
Private devotion produces public influence.
2. Increase your wisdom.
Problems are opportunities waiting for wise solutions.
People reward those who solve problems.
3. Increase your character.
Talent may open doors.
Character keeps them open.
Integrity sustains influence.
4. Increase your competence.
Develop your gifts.
Learn continuously.
Grow your skills.
Daniel distinguished himself because “an excellent spirit was in him.”
5. Increase your compassion.
Jesus was moved with compassion before performing many miracles.
People remember how you made them feel.
6. Increase your service.
The greatest in God’s kingdom is the servant of all.
Service creates significance.
7. Increase your generosity.
Generous people multiply their influence.
Every seed of kindness expands your reach.
Biblical Examples
Abraham
God blessed him so all nations could be blessed.
Joseph
His wisdom preserved entire civilizations.
Esther
One courageous decision rescued a nation.
Paul
He possessed little earthly wealth compared with kings, yet his influence continues across the world through Scripture.

Jesus left no earthly empire, yet His life has transformed billions across history.
Signs Your Impact Is Growing
* People seek your counsel.
* Doors open without manipulation.
* Your work improves other people’s lives.
* You inspire others to pursue righteousness.
* Your generosity multiplies.
* Your testimony encourages faith.
Practical Applications
1. Ask daily, “Whose life can I improve today?”
2. Develop skills that solve real problems.
3. Serve faithfully where God has placed you.
4. Build relationships instead of merely pursuing transactions.
5. Invest in the next generation.
6. Let every success point people back to Christ.
Conclusion
Income can pay bills.
Impact changes lives.
Income feeds a family.
Impact transforms generations.
Income may end when life ends.
Kingdom impact continues long after you are gone.
Therefore, do not only pray:
“Lord, increase my income.”
Also pray:
“Lord, increase my wisdom, increase my influence, increase my compassion, increase my capacity, increase my usefulness, and make me a blessing to my generation.”
When God enlarges your impact, He often entrusts you with greater opportunities and resources because you have become a faithful steward of His purposes.
