THE TRUTH ABOUT PRATER
So many people, both young and old have a lot of misconceptions about prayer....
some think if you've not sweated or cracked your voice, God hasn't heard you....
prayer is actually talking to God.
it is showing and telling God that you're helpless without him....
Heb.4.16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
God doesn't show mercy to strong men!
Never appear before God with the mentality that you're strong.... Tell him how miserable your life would be without Him.....
prayer is pouring out your heart to God in whatever direction... whether Thanksgiving, supplication, intercession and so on!
one of the things we need to know is that our prayers should come from our heart... it should be heart felt.
James 5 vs 16b(AMPC)-The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Don't let anyone deceive you that God has a particular people he listens to or hears their prayer.
Do not feel this way. God listens to the prayer of any truly repentant individual. He proved His love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still in our sins. There is nothing that you or I can do that will cause God to stop loving us or hearing our prayers.
The fact still remains, however, that you cannot expect God to answer your prayers unless you come to Him in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus as your only mediator and confess your sins and receive Him as your Savior and Lord.
You know how you're free talking to your biological parents about anything?
In the same way, Talk to God when you feel you need to.....
you're a child of God, you're not a grandchild of God.
He's our father!
1John.5.14 - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1John.5.15 - And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Make sure you're in a right stand with God, confess your sins now and forsake them...
Finally, you can't do without prayer.
keep praying, don't stop praying! in the midst of trouble or success pray!
THE ONLY WAY TO LEARN HOW TO PRAY IS TO PRAY!
PRAYER KEEPS YOU IN ALLIGNMENT WITH GOD,
Just as before stepping out, you check yourself in the mirror and adjust some things based on what you see, just for you to look outstanding, in the same way as we keep appearing before God in the place of prayer we gradually become transformed to His image and Likeness.
2Cor.3.18 - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
