A HIGH SABBATH OF GRATITUDE, FELLOWSHIP AND CELEBRATION AT LOCATION DISTRICT

It was a high and memorable Sabbath yesterday, Saturday, 22nd August 2026, as members of Location District gathered at the Location District Headquarters for a combined service filled with worship, thanksgiving, celebration and words of encouragement.

The service featured the launching of the AMO Almanac, marking an important moment for the district and providing an opportunity to celebrate the work and contributions of the organization.

One of the most touching moments of the service was the thanksgiving session, conducted by the District Pastor, Pastor Owen Mba Mba. The session featured a powerful testimony from a brother who had been bedridden for two years but returned to church walking again. His testimony became a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness and the power of gratitude.

The district also witnessed the dedication of two children, Baby Christabel and Baby Samuel, as their families committed them to God and sought His guidance and protection over their lives.

Adding colour and excitement to the service was the Location District Choir, whose inspiring musical ministrations enriched the worship experience and contributed to the joyful atmosphere of the gathering.

The guest preacher for the AMO Almanac Launching, Elder Kelechi Nwogu, delivered a powerful message of encouragement, admonishing members to remain steadfast in God and refuse to allow the challenges of life to overcome their faith. His words reminded the congregation that regardless of the difficulties we encounter, our confidence must remain firmly rooted in God.

The celebration also included the presentation of awards by the AMO to deserving individuals, recognising their contributions and service.

From worship and thanksgiving to child dedication, music, the AMO Almanac Launching, awards and an inspiring message, the Sabbath was indeed a beautiful expression of faith, gratitude, fellowship and celebration.

As Location District looks back on this memorable gathering, we remain grateful to God for His faithfulness and for the opportunity to worship, serve and grow together as one family.

To God be all the glory! 🙏🏽

A Day of Thanksgiving, Dedication & Divine Blessings 🙏🏽✨

Today was a truly memorable and joyful Sabbath in our district as we gathered to celebrate God’s faithfulness, restoration, and blessings.

We were blessed with a special Thanksgiving Service for Elder Annaba’s in-law, who had been unable to walk properly with both legs for two years. But God, in His infinite mercy, restored his strength and enabled him to walk again. 🙏🏽 What a mighty testimony of God’s healing power! We return all glory, honour, and praise to Him. Indeed, God is still in the business of restoring lives.

We were also privileged to witness the dedication of two precious children from two different families. Their dedication was a beautiful reminder of the responsibility and joy of raising children in the fear and knowledge of God. We pray that the Lord will guide these families and cause the children to grow in wisdom, grace, and favour before God and people. 👶🏽❤️

It was a Sabbath filled with thanksgiving, testimonies, joy, and new beginnings.

May these words continue to be our testimony:
“What the Lord has done for us, we are grateful.” 🙌🏽

ENUC PATHFINDER CAMPOREE 2026: OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY HELD IN ABAK

The atmosphere at Abak was filled with excitement and anticipation as the Eastern Nigerian Union Conference (ENUC) Pathfinder Camporee 2026 was officially declared open.

The opening ceremony marked the formal commencement of the much-anticipated gathering, bringing together Pathfinders, leaders, instructors and delegates from across the Union for a week of spiritual growth, learning, fellowship, discipline and adventure.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the impressive parade and march-past by the participating Pathfinder clubs. Dressed in their uniforms and marching with confidence and precision, the young people displayed discipline, unity and the Pathfinder spirit.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of flags and other ceremonial activities, setting the tone for the days of activities ahead. The gathering provided an opportunity to officially welcome participants and remind everyone of the purpose behind the camporee — to nurture young people spiritually, mentally, physically and socially while preparing them for a life of service.

Location District was proudly represented as our Pathfinders joined their fellow young people from across the Eastern Nigerian Union Conference in this memorable gathering.

As the camporee officially gets underway, we look forward to more inspiring moments, exciting activities, spiritual encounters and opportunities for our Pathfinders to learn, grow and serve.

The journey has officially begun!

CULTURAL DAY: CELEBRATING OUR HERITAGE AT THE ENUC PATHFINDER CAMPOREE

The ongoing ENUC Pathfinder Camporee in Abak came alive today as Pathfinders gathered to celebrate Cultural Day, one of the exciting activities of the camporee.

The day was a beautiful display of the rich cultural heritage represented across the Eastern Nigerian Union Conference (ENUC). Dressed in colourful traditional attires, the Pathfinders showcased the beauty of our diverse cultures through their outfits, traditions, music, dance and presentations.

Beyond the colours and entertainment, Cultural Day provided an opportunity for the young people to appreciate their roots, learn from one another and celebrate the uniqueness that makes our different cultures special.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, pride and fellowship as Pathfinders, leaders and participants came together to experience the richness of our heritage.

For Location District, it was a joy to witness our Pathfinders participate actively and represent the district with enthusiasm.

Indeed, the Pathfinder experience goes beyond camping. It is about faith, service, leadership, friendship, learning and celebrating the values that shape who we are.

LOCATION DISTRICT MEN AT THE REC AMO CONVENTION 2026

Men from Location District are actively participating in the ongoing Rivers East Conference Adventist Men Organization (REC AMO) Convention, themed “Empower for Mission.”

The convention has provided an enriching platform for the men to fellowship with brethren from across the Conference, deepen their spiritual lives, gain practical knowledge, and renew their commitment to Christian service and mission.

From spiritual sessions and worship to practical discussions on economic empowerment, the men have continued to engage meaningfully in the various activities of the convention.

The Sabbath worship was particularly refreshing, offering a time of praise, prayer, reflection, and fellowship as participants were reminded of their calling to remain connected to God and committed to His mission.

We are grateful for the active participation of our men from Location District and pray that the lessons, blessings, and experiences gained at the convention will translate into greater impact in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities.

Empowered for Mission. Equipped to Serve.

OUR YAWM DELEGATES CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL RENEWAL AT THE ENUC PRAYER RETREAT

We thank God for His continued blessings upon our sisters representing the district at the ongoing Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) Young Adventist Women Ministries (YAWM) Prayer Retreat at Clifford University.

Over the past two days, our delegates have continued to grow spiritually through inspiring messages, fervent prayers, worship, and interactive learning sessions designed to equip young women for purposeful Christian living.

Each day begins with the "Morning Dew" devotional session from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., setting the atmosphere for worship and communion with God.

One of the major highlights was the message, "Chosen for Such a Time as This," which challenged participants to stand courageously for truth and become active participants in God's mission. Shepherdess Rejoice Onyebuchi, in her presentation "Discovering God's Plan for You," reminded every young woman that God knows her by name and has a divine purpose for her life.

Participants also benefited from an insightful symposium on "Unleashing Your Potentials: Tapping into God's Power," moderated by Barr. Osilaolaka Ogbu, encouraging young women to discover and maximize their God-given abilities.

The retreat has also featured sessions on "Aligning Your Life with God's Word," presented by Pastor Alpheaus, a practical Career Guide by Prof. Omeonu, Vice-Chancellor of Clifford University, and a thought-provoking presentation on "Seasons of Life" by WAD AWM director, Mrs. Emah Udoh Same, who reminded participants that "A tree cannot be judged by one season."

Another memorable moment was the solemn fasting and prayer session, where delegates sought a deeper experience with God and interceded for their lives, families, churches, and the advancement of His work.

We are grateful for God's leading thus far and pray that our sisters will return from this retreat spiritually refreshed, empowered for service, and better equipped to be shining lights in the church and their communities.

Please continue to keep all the delegates, speakers, and organizers in your prayers as the retreat progresses.

National Day of Prayer 2026

Today, Location Church, Location District, joined in observing the National Day of Prayer under the inspiring theme, "He Will Restore."

The service was a season of heartfelt worship, soul-stirring songs, earnest prayers, and a Spirit-filled message by the Communication Secretary, Bro. Marvellous Harry. Through every prayer offered, hearts were encouraged, faith was renewed, and members were reminded of God's unfailing promise to restore, revive, and strengthen His people.

We thank God for His abiding presence throughout the program and pray that the blessings received today will continue to bear fruit in every home, every heart, and our church family.

What a blessing! The women delivered an outstanding program today in Location church that blessed the entire church and also generated income for their ministry.

The men weren’t left out either. 👏 They took the stage to show how they support their wives at home, even down to helping them get dressed for AWM programs. The church was thrilled!

Indeed, there’s beauty all around when there’s love💕 at home..

Pictorial highlights.
