OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL 2022

DATE: MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH 2022.

TOPIC: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH 1

MEMORISE:

“And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.” – (Exodus 3:8)

READ:
2 Kings 4:1-7 (KJV)

1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

MESSAGE:

I have seen people experience challenges and they just keep struggling through them. They somehow find a way to survive as the challenge lingers. For such people, usually, a day will come when they will say "Enough is enough". That day came for the widow in the Bible reading for today when her creditors said they were coming to take her sons. Before then, the creditors must have been disturbing her and the prophet who had the solution to her problem had also been there, but she kept quiet and was just struggling with the situation. On that fateful day, she must have said to herself, "Enough is enough" then cried to the Prophet for help and it came. The day you decide to stop accommodating that problem, it will leave you alone; if you keep struggling with it, however, God will fold His hands and watch you.

Several years ago, a young couple suddenly realised that they were making money, but the money kept disappearing, thereby leaving them in poverty. They kept struggling with the problem for some time until one day when they said, "Enough is enough". That day, they prayed some violent prayers like I will ask you to pray later today and all of a sudden, the relative that they brought from the village to help with house chores started screaming, "I want to confess". He said he had instructions from the village that as soon as he got to their house, he should get one of the caps of the husband and send it back to the village. He did this and the cap in question was spiritually manipulated such that whatever money the man made in Lagos was appearing in the cap back in the village. It was after he brought the cap back and it was set on fire that these people within a year bought their own land and built their house. They started making progress only when they said, “Enough is enough".

I don't know about you, but I am tired of the level that am on now; I want to move forward. Oh yes, I have achieved some success and I am grateful to God, but I am not yet where I want to be. Are you okay with being in the same spot for so long? Do you want to continue 'managing' or do you want to break loose from the bo***ge of the enemy and fly? It is up to you. If you want to move forward, then pray the prayer point for today with great spiritual aggression.

PRAYER POINT:

Today, I say enough is enough of (mention the problem you are tired of) and I decree that this problem cases Immediately in Jesus’ name.

HYMNAL: 2 - CONQUERORS AND OVERCOMES NOW ARE WE

1 Conquerors and overcomers now are we,
Thro’ the precious blood of Christ we've victory,
If the Lord be for us, we can never fail;
Nothing 'gainst his mighty pow'r can e'er prevail.

Refrain:

Conquerors are we, thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood;
God will give us victory, thro’ the blood, thro’ the blood,
Thro’ the Lamb for sinners slain,
Yet who lives and reigns again,
More than conquerors are we,
More than conquerors are we.

2 In the name of Israel's God we'll onward press,
Overcoming sin and all unrighteousness;
Not to us, but unto him the praise shall be,
For salvation and for blood-bought victory.

[Refrain]

3 Unto him that overcometh shall be giv’n
Here to eat of hidden manna sent from heav'n;
Over yonder he the victor's palm shall bear,
And a robe of white, and golden crown shall wear.

BIBLE PASSAGE: Acts 17:22-27
[22]Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
[23]For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
[24]God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
[25]Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
[26]And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
[27]That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

MEMORY VERSE: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3.

INTRODUCTION: Within all of us, there exists a strong desire to be known and to know others. More importantly, there is a void in every individual - a quest to know their creator, even if they are not professed believers in God. The apostle Paul expressed his desire to truly know God (Phil.3:10). It is, therefore, important to address the issue of seeking and truly knowing God.

TEACHER’S DIARY
LESSON AIM:
To teach the students how to truly seek and know God
TEACHING OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this lesson, students should be able to:
a. Understand that there is a part of man that longs to know his/her creator.
b. Know ways to seek God.
c. Discover and apply keys to truly knowing God.

TEACHING PLAN:
To achieve the above-stated objectives, the teacher should:
a. Allow the students to recite the memory verse, read the Bible passage, contribute to the discussion; do class activities, and assignment.
b. Allow the Assistant Teacher to see to the well-being of the class, mark attendance and assignment.
c. Teach the lesson outlines, summarise, conclude, evaluate the lesson and give an assignment.

TEXT REVIEW:

vi. That they should seek the Lord ………V27a.
vii. Though ………………………………………………V27b.

TEACHING METHOD: The Lecture Method.

TIME MANAGEMENT: The teacher should apply two-lesson outlines of teaching time.

OUTLINES:
1. SEEKING GOD IS INEVITABLE
2. KEYS TO TRULY KNOWING GOD

1.SEEKING GOD IS INEVITABLE
A. Our desire to seek and know more of God is the essence of true life (Jn.17:3; Jer.50:4).
B. The thoughts of God should be paramount in our minds because they will determine the value and direction of our lives (Ps.48:9; 63:6).
C. Seeking God, then, is an ongoing responsibility and privilege for all Christians (Job 5:8).
D. Therefore, the Scriptures admonish us to seek God:
i. Wholeheartedly (Deut.4:29).
ii. Early in life (Ps.63:1; Eccl.12:1).
iii. Continually (Ps.105:4).
iv. With joy (Ps.70:4).
v. By prayer and supplications
vi. With fasting (Dan.9:3).
vii. Through His righteousness (Matt.6:33).
viii. By studying His word (Jn.5:39).
E. Assuredly, those who seek God under the conditions stated above shall:
i. Find Him (Jer.29:13).
ii. Be satisfied (Matt.5:6).
iii. Understand all things (Prov.28:5).
iv. Not lack any good thing (Ps.34:10).

CLASS ACTIVITY 1: The class should mention other ways through which we can seek God.

2. KEYS TO TRULY KNOWING GOD
A. In an attempt to know God, we must:
i. Receive Jesus Christ into our lives (Jn.1:12): Jesus makes it clear that He alone is the way to Heaven and personal knowledge of God (Jn.14:6-9).
ii. Understand that the Bible is God’s word and a revelation of Himself, His promises, and His will (Jn.1:1; Ps.119:105). The Bible is essentially a love letter written to us from a loving God who created us to know Him intimately (2Tim.3:14-17).
iii. Be committed to obeying what we read in the Scriptures (Tit.1:16; Jn.15:14). We were created to do good works (Eph.2:10). Not only must we read and understand God’s word, but we must also apply doctrines obediently and remain faithful (Jam.1:21-22).
iv. Be committed to prayer, personal devotion, fellowship with brethren (Heb.10:25) and, always worship God in spirit and in truth (Jn.4:23-24).
v. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us always (Rom.8:14, 26-27).
B. Then, our lives can be filled with God, and we can experience knowing Him intimately.

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Students should share with the class keys that have increased their knowledge of God.

SUMMARY: Seeking God is inevitable, and there are ways to truly know God.

CONCLUSION: If we genuinely hunger and thirst to know God, He will reveal Himself to us.

EVALUATION::Students should state the keys to truly knowing God.

CLOSING PRAYER: Father, empower me to pay the price to truly seek and know You.

ASSIGNMENT:Prayerfully follow the guidelines in today’s lesson and work on yourself to seek God daily (No mark).

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS
DATE: SATURDAY 17TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2022.
THEME: A SURE WEAPON

MEMORISE: And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 2 Chronicles 20:22

READ: Acts 16:25-26
25. And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

MESSAGE:
I'm sure you are familiar with the story of Paul and Silas. They were imprisoned for casting out the spirit of divination from a girl who made a great deal of money for her master. The master incited people against them and they were sued to court. The magistrate then handed them to a jailer after having them beaten. Thereafter, were put in stocks and thrown into the inner prison.
Let's even assume that a jail break was planned. If they could have removed the chains, would they have been able to escape through the gates? Mind you child, this is not an action movie or a stunt. It wouldn't have been possible. Their only weapon, having read how the wall of Jericho collapsed before Joshua and how Jehoshaphat won a battle against three kings, was praise. This they did and the prison doors opened of their own accord.
What have you prayed about for so long that seems as though the answer is not forthcoming? Try praise, it is a sure weapon against the enemy. It can never fail because God Himself comes down when there is praise (Psalms 22:3).

ACTION POINT
Don't make any request today; just praise God.

HYMN: 'TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
1. 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take him at his word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.

CHORUS
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

2. O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!

3. Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
just from sin and self to cease;
just from Jesus simply taking
life and rest, and joy and peace.

4. I’m so glad I learn’d to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend,
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

MEMORIZE:
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:16

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 28:18-20

18. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

MESSAGE
We will consider another benefit of witnessing today and this will be drawn from our memory verse taken from John 15:16

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

All your prayers will be answered if you are a soul winner! Imagine you owning a business, and having a son who keeps bringing in new customers to help expand that business; is there any amount that the boy would ask from you that would be too big? In fact, you are likely to buy him a car before he even asks.

That is exactly how God feels about people who win souls for Him. The Bible says there is always joy in heaven whenever a sinner repents (Luke 15:7). God is so passionate about mankind that He throws a party anytime someone crosses from darkness into His marvellous light.

He is so excited that He throws a party in heaven for each soul that is saved.

Imagine then how He would feel about the fellow who preached to that soul. You can be sure that even though the fellow is not in Heaven to partake of the feast, God would send his own portion of the goodies to Him on earth and such a person would be very dear to God.

That is why if you are a committed soul winner, all your prayers would be answered speedily.

I want you to take note however that in John 15:16 , He said if the person wins souls and the souls remain, in other words, if you follow up the new converts until they attain full maturity in Christ, then all your prayers would be answered.

It is not enough to just preach, lead people to Christ and forget about them; you must follow them up with phone calls, Bible Study meetings and so on to ensure that they don’t go back to the world.

You must keep them in your prayers always to ensure that you are shielding them from the tricks of the devil to take them back to the world. If you do these, then there is nothing you ask from God that He will not give to you.

KEY POINT:
Preach the gospel and follow up with new converts to ensure they do not return to the world.

HYMN 30: WONDERFUL STORY OF LOVE.

1. Wonderful story of love;
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love;
Wake the immortal strain!
Angles with rapture announce It,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, oh, won’t you believe it?
Wonderful story of love.

CHORUS:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful, Wonderful story of love.

2. Wonderful story of love;
Through you are far away;
Wonderful story of love;
Still He doth call today;
Calling from Calvary’s Mountain,
Down from the crystal-bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation,
Wonderful story of love.

3. Wonderful story of love;
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love;
For all the pure and blest,
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus,
Wonderful story of love.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS
DATE: FRIDAY 16TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2022.
THEME: STRONG TOWER

MEMORISE: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10

READ: Philippians 2:9-11
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

MESSAGE:
The name a person is called is very important because it can determine the success or failure of the bearer in life. This is why you must not allow yourself to be given just any nickname.
Our Heavenly Father knows the importance of names. He must have thought of the best reward for Jesus who willingly surrendered Himself to bear the sins of the whole world, so, He gave Him a name that is above every other. As powerful and influential as the name Adeboye is, it cannot save any man. Only the name of Jesus can save. I heard of the testimonies of how people that were about to experience an accident called the name of Jesus and they were saved. No wonder our memory verse says the name of the Lord is a strong tower.
My child, when you are in a difficult situation, who do you call? When you have a nightmare, who do you call? Do you use funny expressions like yee! or shout "Mummy" when you need urgent attention? The name of the Lord is a strong tower, especially for the righteous. Call on the name when you need a quick fix.

KEY POINT
When in trouble, call on the name of Jesus.

HYMN: STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF GOD
1. Standing on the promises
of Christ, our King,
Thro’ eternal ages let
His praises ring;
Glory in the highest,
I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.

CHORUS
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God, my Saviour;
Standing, standing,
I'm standing on the promises of God.

2. Standing on the promises
that cannot fail.
When the howling storms of
doubt and fear assail,
By the living word of God
I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.

3. Standing on the promises
I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing
in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty
where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.

4. Standing on the promises
of Christ, the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally
by love's strong cord,
Overcoming daily with
the Spirit's sword,
Standing on the promises of God.

MEMORISE:
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
1 Corinthians 3:8

MESSAGE:
There are several benefits to gain from telling people about Jesus Christ. Maybe if you knew the benefits, you would preach the gospel some more.

Today, we will discuss just one of the numerous benefits of sharing the gospel of Christ and this is found in our Bible reading for today:

“Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his labour.
1 Corinthians 3:8”

You will become a star when you preach Christs gospel.

For example, the more people you bring to the Almighty God, the more children in the Lord you will have. I am yet to see someone who was not grateful to the person who preached to and led him or her from the path to hell.

Even today, I bless God for the man who brought me to The Redeemed Christian Church of God where I met Christ. If not for him who obeyed the instruction of the Lord to witness, only God knows how miserable my life would have become now.

I say it boldly anywhere that I am the richest man in the world. I am the richest man in the world because there is no city in the whole world where I don't have a house.

You ask me how? Well, there is no city I get to today where I would need accommodation and not get a house to sleep in because I have children in the Lord who would be struggling to host me in their homes the moment they hear that I am around.

It is not because I have any money to give them, but simply that I led them to Christ and helped them grow closer to Him.

The more people you lead to Christ, the more celebrated you would be; you would indeed become a star.

Winning souls is the Father's business. If you go about the Father's business and do your part to make it prosper, He would say thank you to you by making you a star.

You would drive cars you didn't buy, live in houses you didn't build and become so respected that when you speak people would pay attention.

ACTION POINT:
Commit to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

THEME: WHO DO YOU BELONG TO?

MEMORIZE:
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 3:10

BIBLE READING:
1 JOHN 3:8-10

8. He that committeth sin is of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

MESSAGE
Many people claim to be Gods children, however, it is only those who truly follow in the footsteps of Jesus that are genuinely His children.

1 John 3:10 further confirms that those who do righteousness are Gods children while those who do evil belong to the devil.

Anyone who is not living in righteousness is not a child of God.

A fellow who is not bearing the fruit of God will bear that of Satan. How can you continue to tell lies and still think you are a child of God? How can you change figures in the office, with the claim that you are borrowing and will pay back?

That act, of course, is stealing because you are taking what is not yours without permission.

The Bible says in John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Beloved, please take time to think about this. If you are not living a righteous life, you should not bother calling yourself a child of God at all.

In any case, Jesus Christ said in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

You can deceive everyone now, but when judgment comes, you would not be able to deceive God because He knows His own.

Jesus said He will send away all those who call Him Lord and even perform miracles in His name but still live a sinful life (Matthew 7:21-23).

On that day, you will be sent to the one who you really belong to, depending on who you behave like – whether it is Christ or the devil.

On the side of Christ, it is paradise, and on the side of the devil, it is the lake of fire and torment.

You make the choice now with whose behaviour you emulate.

KEY POINT:
Does your character really resemble that of Jesus Christ?

DATE: WEDNESDAY 14TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2022.
THEME: WHO SHALL GO FOR US?

MEMORISE: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:8

READ: Mark 16:15-16
15. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

MESSAGE:
The most important responsibility given to a Christian by our Lord Jesus Christ is clearly explained below:
*“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”*
Matthew 28:19-20

God needs boys and girls who have found the saving grace of Jesus, to go out in search for lost souls and bring them back into the fold. He needs people who are fearless and totally reliant on Him to empower them so that they can go into societies that are dominated by atheists, pagans and cultists, challenging them by the power of God like Elijah did the prophets of Baal. Will you go all the way to win at least ten souls for God for the remaining part of this year?

ACTION POINT
Endeavour to preach to at least one soul per week.

HYMN: LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU
1. While passing through this world of sin,
And others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within,
Let others see Jesus in you.

CHORUS
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life's a book before their eyes,
They're reading it through and through;
Say, does it point them to the skies,
Do others see Jesus in you?

3. What joy 'twill be at set of sun,
In mansions beyond the blue,
To find some souls that you have won;
Let others see Jesus in you.

4. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave, and true,
And lead the lost to life and light;
Let others see Jesus in you.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE.

DATE: WEDNESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER, 2022.

THEME: YOU SHALL LAUGH LAST.

MEMORIZE:
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Psalms 27:6

BIBLE READING: ROMANS 12:19-21

19. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

MESSAGE
Every now and then, the devil brings challenges the way of Christians. Sometimes, these challenges are so great that he is laughing already because he believes there is no way out, but I pray for you today: you will laugh last in Jesus name.

Consider the story of the widow of one of the sons of the prophet in 2 Kings 4:1-7. She was heavily in debt and her creditors had threatened that they would take away her two sons if she didn’t pay up.

After issuing the settlement conditions, the creditors must have gone away laughing because they knew the woman could not repay them and they were about to gain two slaves.

However, by the time they returned to take her sons, because the Almighty God had already intervened, she had more than enough to pay her debts and thus had the last laugh.

Before the end of this year, all those who think you are going to sink under the burden of debt will realize that he who laughs last laughs best.

The day my wife and I went to get married at the registry, there was a lady who came for the same purpose. She waited and waited at the registry but the boy who was to marry her did not show up. She really cried that day, but after some months, she moved on with her life, met another young man who was in the army and got married to him.

A few years later, her husband became a State Administrator. In the meantime, the young man who jilted her had also joined the army and was assigned as the Aide-de-camp to the State Administrator the lady’s husband.

Thus, whenever she wanted to go out, it was this man who would open the car door for her to get in. He would have been her husband, now he was her servant. I pray for you: all those who have caused you to be mocked in the past, will come back to serve you, in Jesus name.

If you really want to laugh last, there are certain things you must do.

First is that you must become a child of God. If you want God to fight for you, you have to be His friend.

The second thing is to walk in love, even with those who have offended you. Romans 12:14 says

"Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44), leave vengeance to God and you will laugh last.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, don’t let the devil have the last laugh over me; please Lord, let me laugh last.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: EZEKIEL 23:1-49, EZEKIEL 24:1-27, EZEKIEL 25:1-17

HYMN 4: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

1 Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
there is no shadow of turning with thee.
Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been, thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
all I have needed thy hand hath provided.
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

2 Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

[Refrain]

3 Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

[Refrain]
