SERMON TITLE: SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT: GUARDING YOUR DESTINY WITH WISDOM.

In the journey of life and faith, relationships play a powerful role in shaping our direction and destiny. While God places people in our lives for growth and purpose, not everyone who walks with you truly stands with you. Scripture teaches that wisdom and discernment are essential virtues for every believer. To live victoriously, you must not only love sincerely but also discern wisely.

The ability to recognize intentions, character, and spiritual influence is key to preserving your purpose and fulfilling your divine assignment. As the Bible declares, “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty” (Proverbs 22:3).

*FIVE (5) SETS OF PEOPLE YOU MUST BE CAREFUL WITH*

1. Pharaoh & Herod – The Spirit of Hidden Jealousy.

They appear supportive but are inwardly threatened by your growth, grace, and impact.

“When Herod heard this, he was disturbed… ‘that I too may go and worship Him.’” – Matthew 2:3,8

👉 Wisdom Insight: Protect your vision from silent competitors disguised as supporters.

2. Scholars & Pharisees – The Spirit of Religious Hypocrisy

They profess knowledge of God but distort truth, driven by pride, envy, and selfish ambition.

“Woe to you… hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces.”Matthew 23:13

👉 Wisdom Insight: Not every spiritual voice carries divine truth—test all things by the Word of God.

3. Judas Iscariot – The Spirit of Betrayal

Walks closely with you but values personal gain above loyalty and purpose.

📖 “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him over to you?” – Matthew 26:15

👉 Wisdom Insight: Proximity does not equal loyalty, discern character, not closeness.
