Love can be a beautiful thing when honesty connects with balance, patience, commitment, security, and kindness.

Recently, we experienced what many would consider impossible, but it was made possible by love. Bishop Emeritus John Kenan wedded Mama Tarfena on May 3, 2026.

They fell in love, agreed to walk together, and walked down the aisle to say "I do."

For decades, a Bishop’s calling is to shepherd the children of God, pouring out love, guidance, prayer and pronouncing blessings into the lives of others.

Yet, God in His infinite grace reminds us that the shepherd, too, deserves a partner for the journey. With the union of Bishop Emeritus John Kenan and Mama Tarfena on May 3, 2026, we witnessed a beautiful new chapter of divine orchestration

We are used to seeing our beloved Bishop Emeritus John Kenan standing at the altar, blessing unions and families. But on May 3, 2026 at Guyuk, the tables beautifully turned.

Historic moment for Lutherans in Kenya

Thousands gathered today for the consecration and installation of Bishop Catherine Ngina Musau as the new leader of the Kenya Evangelical Lutheran Church (KELC). She is the first woman bishop of the church.

In her address, Bishop Musau urged Christians to build bridges instead of walls, preserve unity amid diversity, serving one another in love.

God Himself will guard you.

He will protect your going out and your coming in,
keeping you safe from the moment you leave until you return.

He will watch over you now,
and for eternity!

The Lutheran Gospel Singers (LGS) are redefining the worship experience by bringing scripture to life through an incredible, interesting fusion of culture and rhythm.

At the heart of their unique identity is a signature multicultural dance that crosses boundaries, perfectly synchronized to a rich, acoustic melody.

Instead of modern synthesizers, their distinct sound is driven entirely by authentic African indigenous instruments, featuring a traditional xylophone and a powerhouse three-set drum crafted from real tree trunks and animal skins.

What truly sets LGS apart, however, is the brilliant "audio Bible" effect woven into their music. Their lyrics are essentially Bible verses and scriptural stories set to deeply memorable melodies.

The LGS has turned biblical text into catchy, vivid songs, they have created a beautiful form of oral storytelling that allows anyone—even those who cannot read—to easily memorize stories and chapters of the Bible just by singing along.

LGS has created their own culture, community, and faith tradition, all wrapped into one unforgettable rhythm!

LUTHERAN GOSPEL SINGERS NATIONAL CONVENTION (DAY 5)

23/05/2026

One unique identity for the Lutheran Gospel Singers (LGS) is their signature dance which is a complex multicultural transcendent accompanied by several African indigenous acoustic and percussive instruments that blend to a distinct cultural melody.
The music instruments majorly consist of an African xylophone and three-set drums made of tree trunks and animal skin.

Their unique melody usually accompanies a lyrical form that can only be described as Bible verses in music. The lyrics tell bible stories and bible verses in such a way that even people who cannot read are able to memorize several chapters in a single song.
