Benson O Destiny

Baby Hope's hard work and dedication had paid off. Rejoice beamed with pride as she watched her daughter prepare to embark on her medical journey in the UK.

"I'm so proud of you, Hope!" Rejoice exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down her face. "You've worked so hard for this moment. You're going to make an amazing doctor!"

Hope smiled, her eyes shining with excitement and a hint of nervousness. "Thanks, Mom. I couldn't have done it without you. You've always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself."

Rejoice hugged her daughter tightly. "I'll always be here for you, Hope. You're my world. Make the most of this opportunity and never forget where you came from."

As Hope prepared to leave for the UK, Rejoice felt a mix of emotions - pride, joy, and a tinge of sadness. She knew this was a new chapter in their lives, one that would bring new challenges and opportunities.

But for now, they savored the moment, taking photos, and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Hope struggled to adapt to the vastly different culture and lifestyle in the UK. Simple tasks like grocery shopping and navigating public transport became daunting challenges. She missed the warmth and familiarity of home, the taste of her mother's cooking, and the comfort of her own bed.

Longing for a taste of home, Hope attempted to cook Nigerian dishes, but ended up with a kitchen full of smoke and a burnt pot. She laughed, remembering her mother's warnings about her cooking skills.

Despite the struggles, Hope was determined to thrive. She joined cultural clubs, made new friends, and found African grocery stores to satisfy her cravings for traditional food.

As she navigated her new life, Hope discovered that the UK's diverse culture had its own unique beauty. She marveled at the architecture, enjoyed traditional British cuisine, and found solace in the kindness of strangers.

With time, Hope found her footing. She excelled in her studies, made lifelong friends, and became a confident, independent young woman.

As Hope settled into her new life, she began to find her footing in the medical program. She excelled in her studies, impressing her professors with her dedication and compassion. Her experiences as a young mother had given her a unique perspective on healthcare, and she was determined to use her skills to make a difference.

During her breaks, Hope would often visit local hospitals and clinics, observing and learning from experienced doctors. She was particularly drawn to the pediatric ward, where she would spend hours playing with the children and listening to their stories.

One day, Hope met with a professor who specialized in global health. They discussed the healthcare disparities in underserved communities, and Hope realized she wanted to focus on improving maternal and child health in Nigeria.

With renewed purpose, Hope began to explore opportunities for research and clinical work in Nigeria. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to make a difference.

As she neared the end of her program, Hope's thoughts turned to her mother, Rejoice, who had sacrificed so much to give her a better life. She knew her mother would be proud of the strong, capable woman she had become.

As Rejoice continued to receive care and support at the clinic, she slowly began to open up about her past and her fears for the future. The counselors and nurses listened with compassion, offering words of encouragement and guidance.

One of the counselors, a kind-hearted woman named Mrs. Akua, took a particular interest in Rejoice's case. She recognized the depth of Rejoice's pain and determination, and she wanted to help.

"Mrs. Akua, I'm scared," Rejoice confessed one day. "I don't know how I'll take care of this baby. I'm not even sure if I'll be a good mother."

Mrs. Akua smiled warmly. "Rejoice, you're already showing great strength and resilience. Being a good mother isn't about being perfect; it's about loving your child with all your heart. And from what I've seen, you have a lot of love to give."

Rejoice felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, she could do this.

As the months went by, Rejoice continued to receive support from the clinic. She attended prenatal classes, learned about parenting, and slowly began to build a network of friends who understood her situation.

When the day finally arrived, Rejoice gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Though the journey had been difficult, holding her daughter in her arms made every struggle worth it.

Rejoice named her daughter Hope, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is always a chance for a better tomorrow.

Rejoice's heart swelled with love as she gazed at Hope. She knew she had a long journey ahead, balancing motherhood with her own healing, but she was determined to give Hope the best possible life.

With the support of the clinic and Mrs. Akua, Rejoice learned to navigate the challenges of motherhood. She attended parenting classes, joined support groups, and slowly rebuilt her life.

As Hope grew, Rejoice saw glimpses of her own strength and resilience reflected in her daughter's curious eyes and bright smile. She knew she wasn't alone; she had Hope to fight for.

Rejoice began to pursue her passion for art, using her talents to create a better life for herself and Hope. She started selling her artwork at local markets, and eventually, she landed a few commissioned pieces.

With each passing day, Rejoice felt a sense of purpose and fulfillment. She knew she still had scars, but she was healing, and Hope was her motivation.

One day, as Rejoice and Hope sat in the park, watching children play, Rejoice realized she was happy. She was proud of the strong, independent woman she was becoming, and she knew Hope was the reason.

"Mommy loves you, Hope," Rejoice whispered, hugging her daughter tightly.

Hope giggled and hugged her back. "I love you too, Mommy."

In that moment, Rejoice knew she was exactly where she was meant to be.

One month later, rejoice noticed her monthly visitors didn't not come.
She remembered her mother's advice on her first period, rejoice now you have become a woman if any man have s*x with you, you mighty become pregnant, that means you will become unprepared mother. (That is Single Mother) So my daughter as from today be careful about how you played with Male friends, do not allow any male friends to touch your breast or go dawn there.

After rejoice remember those words she became weak that she started crying.
Does it mean I'm pregnant? She ask herself, what will I do now? How can I become a mother at 15? What will I give the child, how can I take of the child? I hate that day, I hate that man, I...I don't even know him! What will I do now?

Rejoice felt overwhelmed and scared, so she packed her bags and ran away from that village. She didn't know where she was going or what the future held, but she knew she couldn't stay. The thought of facing theos her friends and community as a single mother was too much to bear.

As she traveled to a new town, Rejoice felt a sense of freedom mixed with fear. She knew she had to be strong for herself and her unborn child. But she couldn't shake off the feeling of being alone and uncertain about what lay ahead.

Rejoice's body began to show signs of pregnancy, and she knew she had to take action. She couldn't bear the thought of having child out of wedlock, given her past experiences. The memories of what happened that fateful night still haunted her.

With a mix of fear and determination, Rejoice decided to seek help from a local health clinic. She hoped to find support and guidance during this difficult time. The clinic offered prenatal care, counseling, and resources for young mothers.

Rejoice's journey was far from easy, but she was determined to give her unborn child the best possible chance at a healthy life. She faced many challenges, from physical health issues to emotional struggles, but she persevered.

As she navigated this new reality, Rejoice began to find solace in the support of the clinic's staff and other young mothers. They offered her hope and encouragement, helping her to see a future beyond her current struggles.

Benson O Destiny

Rejoice was sitting and thinking about her family; she was lost in thought, and loneliness was surrounding her. Many things were running through her head.

It had been two years now, and she couldn't find any information about her roots, where she came from, or whether she should move forward or go back. But she knew she couldn't stay in that house alone.
As she was thinking and crying, she noticed a shadow approaching. Before she could turn, a strong hand closed her mouth, and a knife was pointed at her.

"Don't make any noise if you want to leave here alive; just do as I say," the voice sounded serious and threatening. The man took her to an uncompleted building. "Please, sir, don't kill me; I'm the only one in this world. Please, sir," she begged.

Remove your clothes fast, and don't make any noise if you don't want me to kill you.
Please, sir, I'm begging you in the name of anything you worship; I'm just 15 years old. Please don't do this to me, sir. Please, I'm an orphan," Rejoice cried. But the man shouted again with a serious voice, "I say, remove your clothes, or I will tear them into pieces." Rejoice tried to run, but she couldn't. The man hit her so hard that she couldn't drag herself, and he forced his way into her and ran away. Rejoice was weak, in pain, and bleeding.

She tried to call for help, but her voice was barely audible, even to someone standing next to her. She cried in pain until midnight, when she regained a little strength. She managed to drag herself back home. She cried throughout the night, asking God why He spared her life. "I was supposed to be dead, like my family," she said.

Rejoice has known only one person to talk to, but she can only cry and cry until tears stream down her face because her best friend has left. For three days now, the village hasn't noticed her presence, and many wonder, and some say maybe she has gone back to the city. With no food and water for three days, she only cries until she becomes weaker.

Some of those girls she told stories to were missing her, so they decided to go and check on her, maybe she has traveled or not. Her door was closed, but there's no key on it; they push the door open and saw Rejoice on the floor, weak and crying.

'Rejoice, please stop crying; your parents and siblings won't come back again,' Ella says with tears in her eyes also. 'Rejoice, Miracle calls her; yes, I know it's okay to cry when you don't answer to your challenges. It's okay to cry when tears are the one comfort you have at that moment, but it's wrong to hold on to your pains.

Please, my love, you know we love you; we are here for you. Pick up yourself; yes, I know I can't really understand how deep the cut is because I haven't lost a loved one before.'

Rejoice cried again; 'my dear, you girls won't understand; my only wish now is death.' 'Stop that,' Ella cuts in; 'look, my love, death is not an option.' Miracle also says; 'look, you are still young; you have a great future awaiting you; strong things happen to strong people. Stand up, take your bath, and let's get you something to eat.

My daughter, you are too young. I can't let you go. Come and stay with me and my wife until you find your roots.

Rejoice's expression turns thoughtful, a hint of sadness in her eyes

"My father's silence about his family...it's always been a mystery to me. I never knew why he never spoke about them. Do you think...do you think he wanted to leave that part of his life behind?"

Obasi's face becomes contemplative, and he nods slowly. "It's possible, my daughter. Sometimes, people leave the past behind to protect themselves, to protect others. Maybe your father had his reasons."

Rejoice nods, understanding in her eyes. "I just wish I knew more about him, about his childhood, about his family. It's like I'm missing a part of myself."

Obasi's expression softens, and he takes Rejoice's hand. "You'll learn, my daughter. You'll learn about your father, about your family. And you'll find your own way, your own story to tell."

Obasi's words echo in Rejoice's mind, and she feels a mix of emotions. She's grateful for his kindness, but she's also determined to find her roots.

"Thank you, obasi's," she says, her voice filled with determination. "I appreciate your offer, but I need to do this. I need to find out who I am and where I come from."

Obasi's nods, a proud smile on his face. "I understand, my daughter. But promise me you'll be careful and take care of yourself. You're not alone, and we'll be here for you, no matter what."

Rejoice nods, feeling a sense of purpose. She knows it's not going to be easy, but she's ready to face the challenges ahead.

Rejoice packs a small bag, says goodbye to Obasi, and sets off on her journey to find her roots. She takes a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as she steps out of the village.

As she walks, she thinks about her parents, about her father's stories, and about the journey that brought her to Ekpili. She wonders what she'll find, what secrets her family might be hiding, and what she'll learn about herself.

The sun beats down on her, and the road stretches out before her like a promise. Rejoice takes a deep breath, feeling the dust and heat on her skin, and starts walking.

She walks for hours, the rhythm of her footsteps calming her mind. As the sun begins to set, she comes across a small village, and she decides to stop for the night.

The villagers welcome her warmly, and Rejoice shares a meal with them, listening to their stories and learning about their lives. As she eats, she asks about her family, about the Adeyemis, and the villagers' expressions turn thoughtful.
