In preparation for Pentecost Sunday, during our midweek service on Wednesday, we learnt about the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is beyond emotional display; He is the Spirit of truth and power. God desires people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. The move of the Holy Spirit is not measured by outward activities or emotional reactions, and it is not a standard that someone must fall to the ground before speaking in tongues.
One major pattern of the Holy Spirit is communication.
The Holy Spirit gives utterance and helps believers speak as He wills. The disciples tarried patiently until Pentecost before they received utterance to speak.
📖 Matthew 7:7
“Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened unto you.”
Without the Holy Spirit, there can be no power, for when the Holy Ghost comes upon you, “you shall receive power.” No believer can truly advance into the next phase without the help of the Holy Spirit.
📖 2 Corinthians 13:14
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
The Holy Spirit longs to commune more with His people.
