Topic: Getting Ready for the Coming of Christ

Acts1: 9-11
Christ is coming soon. We should be prepared to meet him at any time.

2 Peter 3: 9, 14

We should not let the world distract us from living ready for the coming of God.

Christians today try to blend into the world rather than stand out for Christ. The attempt to belong has taken Christians away from Christ.

The coming of Christ is imminent upon the church.

2 peter 3:10

What are we to do as believers and Christians?

1. Make sure your salvation is genuine. Don't just be a churchgoer.
Don't be carried away with things that are not profitable to the King.

2. Holy living
Holy living is the key. We should live a holy life no matter where we find ourselves.
Hebrew 12: 14
I Peter 1: 15-16
1 Thes. 5: 17

3. Be vigilant
1 Peter 5: 8
Be sober and vigilant always. Never lose focus. Your eyes should always be on the goal of making heaven

4. Evangelism.
How many times do you tell people around Christ?
Tell people about Jesus. Share the gospel with them.

Let your lifestyle should be a witness to the people around you.
Matt. 9: 37, matt. 5: 13-15

5. Walk in wisdom and with the fruits of the spirit.
Ask God for the wisdom needed to do his will.
