AUGUST MEETING|| ENDED IN PRAISE

16TH AUGUST, 2026.

TOPIC: Shaping the Next Generation

TEXT: 2 Timothy 1:5, Proverbs 22:6, 2 Kings 9:8

SERMON: Pst. Uchenna Ugwu

Shaping the next generation is a serious responsibility because what we do today will influence where the next generation goes tomorrow. Every generation is being shaped by the values, attitudes, words, and examples they see around them.

Timothy’s faith was shaped by the godly influence of his grandmother Lois and mother Eunice while Proverbs teaches us to train children in the right way.

However, we need to know that ungodly actions can also affect generations negatively. Many are shaping for destruction without realizing it. Therefore, we must be careful with our words, actions, choices, and attitudes because our attitude will determine where our generation is going.

Let us be intentional about what we teach, what we practice, and the attitudes we display, because the generation coming after us may become a reflection of what we show them today.

TOPIC: The Fourth Man in the Fire.

TEXT: Daniel 3:19-30.

Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to the king's golden image. Because of their faith, they were thrown into fiery furnace. But the king was astonished to see four men walking in the fire, unharmed.

"The fourth man in the fire" is a picture of Jesus Christ. He is with us in every trial. He may not always take us out of fire, but he promises to walk us through it.
God protected them, and he can protect us too.

You may be facing a fire today, be it pressure at school, challenges at home, or struggles within. Remember, the fourth man is with You. Trust him, stay faithful and you will come out stronger for his Glory.

EXCERPTS FROM FIRST FRUIT HARVEST | SUNDAY, 2ND AUGUST, 2026

TOPIC: Attitude of Gratitude

TEXTS: Psalm 119:12, Proverbs 3:9–10

SERMON: Ven. Chinedu Onah

"What shall I render to the Lord for His goodness to me?"

Firstfruits means giving God the first and best of our money, time, talents, and work. It is an act of faith that acknowledges God as our Source.

Giving is a principle for everyone and a true expression of gratitude to God. When we honour Him first, we recognize that everything we have comes from Him.

Giving also transforms us by dealing with selfishness, greed, and poor financial habits. As we surrender our resources to God, He guides our spending and teaches us faithful stewardship.

God promises provision and abundance to those who honour Him. As we trust God first and obey with generosity, we experience His care and overflow.

ACM SUNDAY 2026 ✨

Theme: Let the Children Come to Me
📖 Matthew 19:14

Today was a beautiful celebration of God's love for children. It was a joy to watch our children lead us throughout the service with confidence, faith, and enthusiasm. They truly reminded us that every child is precious in God's sight and has a place in His Kingdom.

We pray that they will continue to grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, shining brightly for His glory.
