For every prophecy given to man by God, He has also programmed its fulfillment. They are not just in you but also around you.

God gives people to people to help people fulfill divine purpose. God is the source, but He often chooses to work through relationships.

Moses had Aaron.

Joshua had Moses.

David had mighty men.

Esther had Mordecai.

Ruth had Naomi.

Paul had Barnabas, Silas, Timothy and others.

Jesus sent His disciples two by two.
And the early Church grew through the contribution of many members.

Invest in divine and meaningful relationships.

Topic: The Real Cost of Sin.
Text: Rom 6:1-14.

Around the security of a believer, can salvation be lost?, is our salvation secure?

~ The grace of God is never a permission for sin, it is the power above sin and not an excuse for it.

~ God doesn’t only desire people he has forgiven but also people whose lives he has transformed (Hebrew 12:14).

~ It is a general thing from the New Testament that the apostles admonishes us not to return from the things we are saved from (1 John 3:8).

~There are real costs to enjoying and engaging in sin even as a believer.

~ Sin belittles the holiness of God and opposes his lordship over our lives.

~God took sin seriously to send His son Jesus, it is foolish for a believer not to take it seriously.

The Costs of Sin.
1. Sin costs us character and influence (Proverb 22:1)
~ Playing and being casual with sin overtime changes who we are.
~ Little compromises dull our conscience and weakens our convictions.

2. It produces bo***ge (John 8:34,36)
~ Sins power is in the addiction and bo***ge it creates both to the mind and soul.
~ Satan never reveals bo***ge from the beginning but the real goal is bo***ge.

3. Sin affects our health (Physical and Spiritual; Proverbs 14:30)
~ Holiness gives peace.

4. Sin destroys Love and relationships; both with God and men (Isaiah 59:2)
~ A huge part of sin is lack of love
~ Sin damages trust and weakens relationships.
~ Wherever there is truth, forgiveness and humility, love thrives and sin dies.
~ Sin replaces love with selfishness and honesty with deception.

5. Sin destroys, darkens and weakens the soul. (James 1:14-15, Rom 6:12-14)
~ Sin darkens the heart, dulls spiritual sensitivity, weakens fellowship with God.
~ It’s never about how close you should get to sin, but how far you should flee from it.
~The closer we walk with God, the more we hate what griefs the heart of God.
~ Sin costs more than it promises, the grace of God gives us more than sin ever can.
