Theme: ADAM WHERE ARE YOU?

Topic: IDENTITY (Who are you?)
*Identity refers to the characteristics, traits, beliefs, and qualities that make an individual or group unique.
It includes personal factors such as one's name, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and values, as well as roles in society like family member, friend, or profession.
Identity can be self-constructed through experiences, relationships, and self-perception, or influenced by external social, cultural, and historical factors.
*Christian identity refers to how an individual sees themselves in relation to their faith in Jesus Christ and the teachings of Christianity.
This identity is shaped by core beliefs, practices, and values rooted in the Bible and the life and teachings of Jesus.
*UNDERSTANDING YOUR IDENTITY KEEPS YOU IN CHECK.
That's why Jesus asked his disciples "What do people say I am?" (Matt. 16:23)
*PEOPLE ARE INFLUENCED BY YOUR IDENTITY.
Whenever you mention Daddy E.A Adeboye, people's mindset rush to identify him as the General Overseer of RCCG. When you are recommended to any office by Daddy, they don't waste time in attending to you.
Also, when you hear about Verydarkman on social media, you already see an activist who uncovers some things some people are doing to the society. In terms of Skincare products that are not registered and any intimidation matters on his table must be made public and it will be resolved.
*WHEN YOUR NAME IS MENTIONED, WHAT WILL PEOPLE THINK OR SAY ABOUT YOU?
Your identity is your personality.
What is your impact in the society, Church etc?
KEY ASPECTS OF A CHRISTIAN IDENTITY:
1. FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST: Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of humanity, and that salvation is obtained through faith in Him. This faith forms the foundation of their identity.
2. BIBLICAL VALUES: Christian identity is shaped by the moral teachings of the Bible, such as love, humility, forgiveness, and service to others. These principles guide behavior and ethical decision-making.
3. COMMUNITY AND FELLOWSHIP: Christians often find identity in their belonging to a larger community of believers, whether through a local church, denomination, or the global Christian body. Fellowship and shared worship reinforce a sense of spiritual family.
4. PURPOSE AND MISSION: Many Christians see their identity tied to a sense of calling, or purpose, often described as spreading the Gospel, serving others, and living a life that reflects Christ’s love and teachings.
5. SACRAMENTS AND WORSHIP: Participation in Christian rituals like baptism, communion, and regular worship services also shapes Christian identity, as these acts symbolize faith and a connection to the larger body of Christ.

ADAM WHERE ARE YOU?

*Are you still on the right track?
*What do you see?
*Are you a Prodigal Son? Luke 13:17-20
It is a new season and our identity needs to be defined.
*If we must go far positively then our dealings should be with all sincerity, love and togetherness.
It was because Adam went to a walk in the garden without his wife that made his wife have external company of destruction.
Don't be far away from your duty post. Your presence is of utmost important.
When we pray, eat, work together then the devil cannot win the battle.
Don't forget, this is battle of THRONES.
Stop hiding, come out from your hiding place. Just like the prodigal son, Arise and return to your duty post. (Luke 13:8)
PRAYERS
1. Lord have mercy on me and help me to become a better version of me.
2. Father in your mercy, empower me not to fail.
3. Father strengthen your church
4. Almighty Father, reveal yourself to me.
5. Lord break the yoke of stagnation in my life and the Church.
