This led me into mind searching. Messages such as this usually are used to call us back to introspection. The tendency to excuse our unforgiving attitude is always hinged on our bags of reasons. It is like what the police call,"pleading guilty with reason" . To be guilty with reason does not make us guiltless. Hence, whatever reason we have for refusing to forgive, makes us to participate in a project against our own prayers.
God did not promise offence free world. We live with offenders everyday.
Someone said,he "does not tolerate nonesence" yet the world is full of nonsense. It is hardly possible to live a full day life without meeting several nonsense. So he who does not tolerate nonsense can not live in this world.
Some wives are baskets of nonsense. So are some husbands and children. Churches harbor a large size of moving nonsenses. Every turn we make we see nonsense. Therefore, the best life is to make room for nonsense.
Forgiveness is therefore the simplest name for tolerance of nonsense.
Those who forgives easily may be thought weak, but they are among the strongest persons on the earth. And here , reverse is the case for those who do not forgive. They may think themselves strong,but in the wisdom of God, they are the weakest.
Come to think about it, the forgivers live joyful life but those who do not forgive live sorrowful life. They develop heart sickness easier than those who forgive.
Deriving from our lesson here, forgiveness have marked effect on prayers.
Prayers prayed without forgiving will not get to God. At best, it an open throat yelling.
Most prayer worriors prefer to pray at the mountain. But no matter the height of the mountain, if we pray without forgiving our enemies, we at the pit not mountain.
May we never shift the stark realities of this message to another person. It is for all of us who live in the world full of nonsenses.
