THE CHURCH: A FAMILY THAT SHOWS UP
The Church is the Body of Christ.
The Church is a community.
The Church is a family.
The Church is an organization.
The Church is an organism;alive, connected, and growing.
But the Church has a social responsibility to care, support, and stand with one another.
As Scripture teaches us, โRejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.โ
Today, we had the privilege of standing with one of the fathers in our church family, Mr. E. A. Ezinwa, at the burial of his wife in Ezeagu, Enugu State.
We did not go merely as visitors. We went as a family..We went as the Body of Christ to share in his grief, to offer our presence, comfort, prayers, and support.
This is what the Church is about.
Our commitment as a church is not limited to what happens within the four walls of our sanctuary. We are a family that walks with our people through every season of life, in moments of joy and in moments of sorrow.
Because when one member hurts, we all feel it. When one member rejoices, we all rejoice.
This is the Church.
This is family.
This is the Body of Christ.
And we will continue to show up for one another.
