*Block Rosary Crusade Day & Feast of the Assumption*
On Sunday, August 17th, alongside the First Holy Communion celebration, St. Theresa Catholic Church, Nibo also marked the Block Rosary Crusade Day, joyfully coinciding with the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
It was a day filled with prayer, thanksgiving, and vibrant expressions of faith. The events which began with the Holy Mass, which began at 9.00am. From the colorful march past of the Block Rosary children to the presentations, cutting of the cake, and sharing of gifts, the celebration radiated love, unity, and devotion to our Blessed Mother.
In his homily during the Mass, the Parish Priest; Rev. Father Christopher JMC Ezeonu, who was the Chief Celebrant, encouraged the young girls to become true Marian daughters by joining societies such as the Legion of Mary, Mary League, and the Block Rosary. He reminded them that devotion to Mary is the surest and easiest path to Jesus, her Son, and that through her intercession, our prayers are answered more swiftly.
The parish community came together in one spirit to honor Mary, who was assumed body and soul into heaven, and to encourage our young ones in their Marian devotion. Truly, it was a beautiful reminder that when we draw close to Mary, she always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.
May Our Lady, Queen assumed into Heaven, continue to intercede for our parish and every family in our community.
