TEXT: PROV 16:18-19, JAMES 4:5-7a
TOPIC: AS WE KEEP OUR LAMPS BURNING; LET US ABOLISH PRIDE IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE. OR
DO AWAY PRIDE IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

INTRODUCTION
For me, I see Pride as one of the destructive mechanisms that destroyed many lives of people and leaders.
I read a story about the builder of a Titanic boat, according to the story, he was interview by the press men how strong and safe is your Titanic boat? And he said, out of pride"even God cannot sink The Great Titanic!!!!"
But friends at the end of the story about 1500 lives of people and the properties contains in the boat were lost because of the little cracked (pride)
That brought me to ask, what was the reason why the devil was cast down from heaven to the earth? Was it not pride? That's why Proverbs 16:18 says, Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall. There is adage in hausa that says: GIRIMA KAI RAWONI SIYA.
Friends before going further I want us to known that the context of this particular chapter of James, it is a strictly warning apostle James gave to his audience on ways of their life, the reason for their quarrying within themselves, their wrong motives of prayer and how their love of the world became enmity to God.
However, I then say that God hate pride because a proud man says in his heart. I know all, am above mistakes, do you know what I can do? Haven’t you hear about me? Do you want to dare me? I am superior, my word is final. A humble man is the opposite.
A Humble man says: I know nothing, I like correction, let us reasoning together as one an equally.
Jesus as a model of humility in his early ministry in many passages we learn that he always humbles himself before his subject, without claimed of superior more of a servant than a master.
* Friends in-between these two characters of life which do you belong?

APPLICATIONS
√ In our church today don't we have the proud ones among us?
√ Parents in our home what is causesargument and quarrying among us? isn't pride one of the reasons?
√ Youth today are withdrawning themselves from religious activities isn't pride one of the reasons?
√ what causes queering and misunderstanding between senior and associate pst? Isn't pride one of the reasons? The young psts claim to know more than the senior PRIDE???
√ In our association why are we scattered? Why are we always debating on a particular issue? Isn't pride? Everyone feel is big nor respect for each other’s. Elderly ones talk to the young without show some respect that's why younger ones too do the same.
√ people force themselves into leadership today why? for whatever reason friends’ pride is overall. To some I want to be known (pride) Is my turn to enriched myself (pride) I am now in-charged (pride) everything is about I.I.I.
√ As leaders sometimes we fail in leadership duties what causes it, isn't pride? We don't take advice, we do things and want things to be done in our own ways and even look down on our members simple because we are in-charge.(Pride.)
√ As students we fail in our academic performance why? isn't pride one of the reasons? So also, the business men.
√ Friends pride is what brought about self-centeredness, hatred, malice and this is what is killing and destroying our home, association and all works of life today.
√ Friends let do away pride and embrace humility by allowing God to lead us and treat each other right, in that way everyone will be happy and we shall obtain favor and honor from God, therefore remember “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

CONCLUSION
Friends do you want be honor and elevated by God? Then do away pride in your life

SUNDAY SERVICE SERMON AT ECWA GOOD NEWS MILLIONIERR QUARTERS NASARAWA ON 24/11/2025.
TEXT. Jeremiah 29:13: "You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart".
2 Chronicles 32:25: But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; (with gladness) therefore the LORD'S wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.
TOPIC. If you seek God and find Him, respond to God's kindness with gladness.
INTRODUCTION. Because God is kind, He makes this declaration. If you seek me you will find me if you seek me with all your heart.
__ I don't know if you have discovered the presence of God this year in your family, you working place, and your business.If yes, okay what did you think about it?
__ The issue is that after you find God. After God had delivered you. And After God had done wonderfully to your life. What will be your response to Him.
__ The Lord's goodness in your life, and when somebody do something to your life, the payback him matters a lot, ether it will be good or bad.
* A grateful heart is characterized by an ability to see value of the past, value in the present, and value the future
*A grateful heart find strength in all challenges, and appreciate abundance rather than focusing on scarcity.
*A grateful heart, has a positive mindset to everything, and it's lead him to increase happiness and joy to whom ever help or provide for him.
*A grateful heart is encourage to be generous, and focus on doing good to God and whom ever contributed to his life development.

SERMON ON FALSE PROPHET AT ECWA MILLIONAIRE QUARTERS NASARAWA.
Text. Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Matt. 24:11. Says"And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Topic. The effect of the false prophets to the church.
SECOND THING. (II).They cause confusion, and divisions among people of God.(Church).
INTRODUCTION.
The ministry of the false Ministers, is in two face. The false prophets which people go to them to prophecies. And the teachers who teaches among you in the church and the home.They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, and many will fellow their way. (2 Peter 2: 1&2)
When you look at the story of God's people in the book of Jeremiah, it is a fully confusions, between people of God on how they receive God's message and how understand that message from God.
The message of the false prophets was a dangerous message to the people of God.
And they were powerful, they were friendly, and their voices were voltage than the really prophet of God.
In Jeremiah 14:13–14
_THE FALSE PROPHET SAID"But I said, “Alas, Sovereign LORD! The prophets keep telling them, ‘You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place,,.
_ PROPHET JEREMIAH Said. Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds”.
God can not use two prophet at the same time or one after the other to contradict his messages
Act. 17:11 Says “Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. To see if Paul's message contradicts what the whole of Scripture teaches”.
THE PUT PEOPLE OF GOD AND THE CHURCH IN CONFUSION.
1. Confusions from the families to the church. Every family that are confuse on how to live together, will be confuses on how to fellowship together in their home and the church.
__ A Christian husband, married to a Christian woman, giving birth to Christian children and don't know how to lead his family altar, don't know how to pray his children, you send them to a man of God, you don't know his background, it is confusion to your family
__ A Christian woman,( a women fellowship member)has a prophet somewhere, where she go to receive her prophecies, miracles, prayers without the knowledge of husband, it is confusion to your family.
2. Confusion in the church services. John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
__The false prophets minister, or member claim to be more spiritual then other minister, or members, and show's the superiority of their Church.
But Matt. 5:3 said."Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
APPLICATION/CONCLUSION
My brothers and sisters. False prophets (preachers) abound today — Try to understand those who claim to speak a message from God. And the one actually of their own invention. The danger of false prophets is that they deceive and confuses many, who will suffer loss because of that deception. Christian men and women, don’t be taken in by false prophets, regardless of how appealing is their message seem.

TOPIC. The spiritual Qualifications of a Christian who seek the Lord with all his or her heart.
INTRODUCTION
QUALIFICATIONS. Means after passing through some years in the school of studies, and after attending the school examination and pass that examinations of the complete courses of your studies. Also after completion of school project approves by underlined authorities, and finishes your clearance from the school, you do your signing out from the school. Is when you said "YAH!!! DONE AND DUSTED,, You go for your service or obtained your Assumptions letter and certificate you are qualified for that degree of the study.
BUT SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS. This refer to the personal character and attributes a person needs to cultivate for spiritual growth, leadership, or service within a particular religious or spiritual context. These qualifications are often seen as foundational and essential, shaping how individuals approach their faith, interact with others, and live out their values. They go beyond academical mere knowledge or skills. They emphasizing virtues like faith, devotion, humility, and love.
__ You see people praying and in name of Seeking and Calling upon the name of the Lord, with what Qualifications?
__ You see people praises God and worshipping God, in the name of seeking the Lord, with which Qualifications?
__ You see people fasting and praying in the name of seeking the Lord, what qualified their prayers and fasting?
For your academical Qualifications can not qualified you these.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENT FOR SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS.
__ Be born again Christian. John 3:3, say's "Jesus tells Nicodemus, "Truly, truly, I tell you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." This means that a spiritual transformation is necessary to experience God's kingdom,,
__ Be Baptism Christian Mark 16:16 say's"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned,,
while baptism is a significant part of Christian life and discipleship, the Bible does not explicitly state that it is required for salvation. It is often understood as a sign of faith and a public declaration of one's commitment to Christ.
__ Turn away your tongue, your actions from evils, telling lies, gossiping, turning from all kinds of evils and do good, seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:12-16. Isaiah 55:6-7
__ Keeping your hands clean from shading the innocent blood and from ritualist,
__ keep your heart purely, and not lift your soul to idols, do not swear by what is false. Psalm 24:4-6
__ Be Holy because our God is Holy.

My Brothers and Sisters. The journey of seeking the Lord is required your heart of cultivating humility, praying, reading scripture, repenting, and persevering in the pursuit of seeking the Lord. Those who diligently seek Him are rewarded with spiritual blessings, peace, wisdom, and eternal life.
