Text: Matthew 25:14–30.
In the parable of the talents, Jesus teaches that God intentionally gives each person gifts, abilities, opportunities, and resources according to their capacity, not for personal comfort but for meaningful impact. The servants who invested their talents multiplied what was entrusted to them and were commended, showing that God expects us to develop, use, and grow what He has placed in our hands to bless others and advance His purpose. The servant who buried his talent represents those who waste or hide their God-given potential out of fear, laziness, or doubt, and this was condemned. The lesson is clear: God does not measure us by comparison with others, but by faithfulness, how well we use what we have been given to create value, serve humanity, and glorify Him.
