THE LAST VIGIL OF YEAR
NO BIBLE STUDY ON FRIDAY ALL THE MEMBERS SHOULD PRAY AND COME OUT FOR THE VIGIL TIME 10:00PM
THIS IS PRAYERS POINT To ALL MEMBERS WE ARE ENDING ON FRIDAY WITH FASTING AND PRAYERS
1. ADORATION & WORSHIP
Use these to begin your fasting with praise and reverence:
Psalm 95:6 – “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.”
Psalm 29:2 – “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
Psalm 103:1-2 – “Bless the LORD, O my soul… forget not all His benefits.”
Revelation 4:11 – God is worthy to receive glory and honour.
Prayer Focus:Lord, You alone deserve our worship. We adore Your majesty, Your power, and Your faithfulness.
2. FORGIVENESS & MERCY
Verses to pray for personal cleansing and mercy:
Psalm 51:1-2, 10 – David’s prayer for mercy and a clean heart.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He forgives.
Isaiah 1:18 – “Though your sins be as scarlet… they shall be white as snow.”
Matthew 6:14-15 – Forgive others so God will forgive you.
Prayer Focus:Father, cleanse us from every sin—personal, family, church, and our nation Renew a right spirit within us.
3. PRAYER FOR LEADERS (CHURCH & GOVERNMENT)
1 Timothy 2:1-2 – Pray for kings and all in authority.
Proverbs 11:14 – A nation falls without wise leadership.
Psalm 72:1-2 – Prayer for righteous leaders.
Hebrews 13:17 – Pray for church leaders watching over souls.
Prayer Focus:Lord, grant our leaders wisdom, integrity, and the fear of God. Let righteousness guide their decisions.
4. PRAYER FOR OUR NATION (NIGERIA)
2 Chronicles 7:14 – God heals the land when His people pray.
Psalm 122:6-7 – Pray for peace within the nation.
Proverbs 14:34 – Righteousness exalts a nation.
Isaiah 60:1 – Nigeria shall arise and shine; its light has come.
Prayer Focus:Father, let peace, progress, and stability rest on Nigeria. Break every yoke of corruption, insecurity, and bloodshed.
5. PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH
Matthew 16:18 – The gates of hell shall not prevail.
Acts 2:42-47 – Unity, power, and growth in the early church.
Ephesians 4:11-13 – Spiritual maturity and unity.
Isaiah 40:31 – Renewed strength for all workers and members.
Prayer Focus:Lord, revive Your church. Strengthen pastors, leaders, and members. Let Your fire fall again.
6. PRAYER FOR THE YEAR TO END SUCCESSFULLY
Psalm 65:11 – God crowns the year with goodness.
Psalm 121:7-8 – God preserves our going out and coming in.
Philippians 1:6 – The Lord will complete what He started.
Isaiah 3:10 – Good shall be the end of the righteous.
Prayer Focus:Father, let the remaining days of this year deliver breakthroughs, protection, provision, and testimonies.
7. THANKS GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – Give thanks in everything.
Psalm 107:1 – “Give thanks to the LORD for He is good.”
Psalm 118:23-24 – The Lord has done this; it is marvelous.
Philippians 4:6 – With thanksgiving, make your requests known.
Prayer Focus:Lord, thank You because You have heard us. Thank You for what You have done, what You are doing, and what You will do.
