BOWLS OF FIRE - A Word From God.

LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12 (PT. 21)

Romans 12:6:
6. *Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,* whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Dearly Beloved, today, we'll be moving on to verse 6 as we continue our study in Romans 12.

The first part of this verse talks about how we have different gifts by reason of different levels of Grace made available to us.

Daddy E. A. Adeboye once told us of how he asked God to give him all the gifts of the Spirit, but God said he couldn't have all but He'll make them available whenever they were needed.

This story makes us understand that for anyone to have any gift of the Spirit, he/she needs a level of Grace. While there is enough Grace for everyone to speak in tongues, not everyone can have the Grace for the other gifts.

This is why you must be grateful for whatever gift you have been given. Yes, it is good to aspire for other gifts of the Spirit, but never think you can have it all.

Many believers run to the devil in order to get certain gifts, forgetting that God knows best and has His reasons for not giving them those gifts.

Remember, all good and perfect gift comes from God according to James 1:17. So whenever you desire a certain gift and God refuses to give you, He has His reasons. The next thing to do is to ask Him to enlarge your capacity so that you'll be able to take more than you normally can.

May the Holy Spirit explain things to us expressly in Jesus name.

Prayer Point: Father, please, enlarge my capacity, and Your Grace over me, to take more of your gifts in Jesus name.

BOWLS OF FIRE - A Word From God

LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12 (PT. 5)

Romans 12:2;
2. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Beloved, we are moving to verse 2 of Romans chapter 12 today.

And the first thing said here is that we shouldn't be conformed to this world. What does this mean? you may ask.

It's simply saying that we shouldn't allow the things of this world entice us; rather we should be more like Jesus, who even when the devil offered Him all the glory of this world, He stood His ground, knowing that His Father in Heaven owns everything in Heaven and on earth.

The Bible says in James 4:4 that "...know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Many of us are drawn to the material things of this world, neglecting the spiritual things of God, and this is why the devil is gaining so much ground amongst us today.

"SET YOUR AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE..." is what the Bible says.

When Peter asked Jesus for their gain in leaving everything to follow Him, the Lord replied saying that *"Any man who has left all for my sake will have everything a hundred fold and also have eternal life"* according to Mark 10:28-30. This should be our focus.

Having cars, houses, money e.t.c is good but the wealth layed up for us in Paradise is much more better than all the riches of this world.

Prayer Point: Dear Lord Jesus, pls give me the Grace and Strength to say NO when temptations come my way in Jesus Name.

*LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12 (PT. 4)*

Romans 12:1;
1. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, *Acceptable unto God,* which is your reasonable service."

Beloved, after offering yourself to God as a Sacrifice, living a Holy life, serving where God wants you to serve,*what's left is for your service to be acceptable unto God.*

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15 that *"Study to shew thyself approved unto God..."* meaning that your approval must come from God and not man.

A lot of us are satisfied with men's report without thinking of what God is saying.

Can you pause now and ask yourself these questions:
1. What does God say about me?
2. Am I being praised by God as I am by men?
3. People call me a child of God, but does God even recognizes me?

In the Bible, God testified about Job without the devil asking, can He do same for you and I?

As we conclude on Verse 1 of Romans 12, and move on to verse 2, let's cross check out lives and ask God for what He thinks of us.

A song🎼 says, "Show me myself in a mirror, help me to see me, the way you see me..." The song writer went on to say that " After all the Billboards, Banners, Flyers, Ministrations e.t.c., all that matters is how You (God) see me"

So no matter how much goodness people may say of you, ask God *"What do You say of me?"* Because God's report is far more important than even your father's report.

*Prayer Point:* Father, please, reveal myself to me, so that I will see myself the same way You see me in Jesus name.

*LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12 (PT. 3)*

Romans 12:1:
1. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, *which is your reasonable service."*

After offering yourself to God as a Sacrifice, and you've asked the _Holy Spirit_ to help you live a _Holy Life,_ it's now left to you to make your *Service Reasonable.*

If God asks you to serve in the Sanitation department, don't go to the Prayer department.

It's not enough to just serve God, your service must be in accordance with God's plan.

*"SOME PEOPLE ARE MINISTERING AS APOSTLES, WHEREAS THEY ARE ACTUALLY CALLED TO THE MINISTRY OF TEACHING."*

Brethren, before entering any department or ministerial assignment, ask the Lord for what He says, and where He wants you to serve.

*"SOME ARE ON THE ALTER WHEN THEY SHOULD BE IN THE TOILET CLEANING."*

If Jeremiah had decided to be an *Apostle,* he would never have made as much accomplishment as he did as a *Prophet.*

*Prayer Point:* Dear Lord, help me do that which you have ordained me to do, so that my _Service_ to you will be _Reasonable_ in Jesus name.

LESSONS FROM ROMANS 12 (PT. 2)

Romans 12:1:
1. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, *holy, acceptable unto God,* which is your reasonable service."

It is Possible to present yourself to God as a *Living Sacrifice*, and be unacceptable to God.

In order to be acceptable, you must be *Holy*, for it is written *"Be ye _Holy;_ for I am _Holy._" - 1 Peter 1:16*

Note: Both Cain and Abel offered Sacrifices to God willingly, but Abel's was Holy whilst Cain's was not.

You may be a Worker or a Minister and still be unacceptable to God because of *Sin.*

*Prayer Point:* Father, please give me the Grace to live a Holy Life in Jesus name. Amen.

2. Are my ministrations inspired by God or men?
3. Do my Sermons or Songs positively touch lives?
4. How many souls have I won so far?

_These are self reflecting questions we need to ask ourselves on a daily basis.🤔✍🏾_
