IF WE MUST BE STRONG 💪

There's something that makes christians in our generation not so strong in the Lord. It is that, the basic requisite to our spiritual growth is being neglected.

This requisite is *the study of God's Word*... Many of us have been made to believe that all there is to our spiritual growth is to be aligned with the Spirit of God in prayers.
This is not far from the truth, but the basic truth was said by Apostle Paul in Acts 20:32:

_"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to *the word of his grace*, which is able TO BUILD YOU UP, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."_

We should study His Word as much as we ought to pray. We cannot even pray aright without the knowledge of His Word.

And without consistent fellowship with God in prayer, we cannot receive the revelation _(knowledge + understanding)_ of His Word.

1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FEAR?
a. It means to expect and rehearse one's failure (Numbers 13:31-33).
b. It means to forget everything and run (1Kings 19:1-3).
c. It means to see a false evidence as being real (1 Peter 5:8)
2. WHY SHOULD YOU NOT FEAR?
a. What you fear might eventually come upon you (Proverbs 29:25; Job 3:25)
b. People who fear will end up in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8).
When you have the fear of others or the devil, it means that you love your own life. The Bible however admonishes us not to love our lives (John 12:25)
c. God has promised to help you (Isaiah 41:10).

3. WHO CAN OVERCOME FEAR?
a. He or she that is righteous (Proverbs 28:1; Hebrews 13:6).
b. He or she that has been saved by Jesus Christ (Hebrews 2:14-15).
c. He or she that fellowships with God and prays together with the brethren unto God (Acts 4:24a, 31).
d. He or she that is filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:31)

4. HOW CAN YOU OVERCOME FEAR?
a. By receiving and believing in Jesus Christ (the Son of God) and thereby becoming born again (Romans 10:11; John 3:16; John 1:12).
b. By being filled with the word of God (Romans 10:17; Hebrews 4:12) and with the Holy Spirit (Jude 20). FAITH is the opposite of FEAR.

5. SOME BENEFITS OF OVERCOMING FEAR
a. You will be free from the torment of fear (1John 4:18).
b. Your life will be saved, both in this life and in that to come (John 12:25; Revelation 2:11).
