DEATH IS A KING BEFORE WHOM EVERY CROWN MUST BOW.
Text: Ecclesiastes 8:8 "No one has power over the day of his death."
Death is a king that opens every cap of honour. Whether you are rich or poor, educated or uneducated, powerful or powerless, young or old, one day every human being will stand before the King called Death.
A king may have soldiers, but death has no soldier to fight it.
A rich man may have money, but money cannot buy an extra breath. A powerful man may have influence, but influence cannot command death to wait. A doctor may save lives, but there comes a moment when even medicine must surrender.
Death does not respect titles.
It removes the crown from the king, the cap from the chief, the uniform from the officer, the wealth from the wealthy and the strength from the strong. At the grave, we all become equal.
The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27, “Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God.”
Therefore, the question is not simply “How long will I live?” The greater question is: “What will I do with the life God has given me?”
When death comes, nobody can take your house with you.
Nobody can take your car with you.
Nobody can take your position with you.
Nobody can take your money with you.
You leave this world with only your deeds and the legacy you have built.
That is why we must live wisely, forgive quickly, love genuinely, serve God faithfully and treat people with kindness. Do not use your temporary position to oppress people. Do not look down on anybody because tomorrow is in the hands of God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 reminds us that the ultimate duty of humanity is to fear God and keep His commandments.
Conclusion
Death is a king that nobody can dethrone. It opens every cap of honour and takes no bribe. It reminds us that earthly glory is temporary, but eternity is forever.
