OCTOBER DEVOTION
DAY 5
LOVE AND KINDNESS

1st Corinthians 13:4-7
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Love acts, it doesn't just feel.
Patience is love waiting. Kindness is love doing something good. Without kindness,love is just words.

Love is humble.
It doesn't envy what others have, doesn't brag about what it has, and doesn't think it's better. Kindness celebrates others instead of competing.

Love is gentle in daily life.
It respects people, doesn't look for its own gain, doesn't get angry quickly, and doesn't keep a list of past wrongs to use later. True kindness forgives and lets go.

Love loves what is right.
It doesn't enjoy gossip or seeing others fail. It is happy when truth wins.

✨ PARISH YOUTH WEEK GRAND FINALE — PHASE 1! 🕊️🔥

And just like that, we’ve come to the grand finale of an amazing Parish Youth Week! 🎉🙌
Today was a beautiful display of service, unity, and youthful commitment as our young people took over different aspects of the church. From serving at the altar, taking the readings, singing in the choir, making announcements, and supporting the smooth running of the service, our youth showed us what it truly means to serve God with joy and excellence. ❤️⛪
A special shout-out to our amazing Church Wardens who coordinated and handled everything so wonderfully. 👏🏽💯
What a week it has been 😊 What a celebration of faith, service, and fellowship! 🕊️✨

✨ PARISH YOUTH WEEK — DAY 3! ✨

Today was all about energy, service, teamwork, and making a difference! 💪🏽❤️
From getting our bodies moving with some exciting aerobics 🏃🏽‍♀️🎶, to coming together to clean the church 🧹✨, and extending our hands of service by helping to fix and improve one of the roads leading to the church 🔨🏠 — every activity reminded us that serving God is not just about words, but also about action.
We worked together, laughed together, served together, and left our surroundings better than we found them. 🙌🏽

Day 3 of Parish youth Week: We move, we serve, we build! 🔥

DAY 2 | PARISH YOUTH WEEK

Today was a beautiful encounter with God through Holy Mass, Adoration, prayers, and anointing. 🙏🏽
In the stillness of Adoration, we laid down our burdens, opened our hearts, and allowed His presence to minister to us. Through every prayer and every anointing, we were reminded that God is still healing, restoring, strengthening, and renewing His people.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Day 2 was truly a moment of grace.
Lord, may we never leave Your presence the same way we came. ??️

✨ PARISH YOUTH WEEK 2026 — DAY 1 ✨

And just like that, Parish Youth Week is officially underway! 🎉🙌🏽

We began Day 1 in the best way possible —with Holy Mass, giving thanks to God and placing the week in His hands. 🙏🏽⛪️

From there, we transitioned from the spiritual to the educational with an insightful health talk on Rhesus (Rh) compatibility, exploring what it means, the challenges it can present, and how it can be properly managed. 🩺🩸

A beautiful start to a week of faith, fellowship, learning, growth, and fun! ❤️

Day 1: Faith strengthened. Knowledge gained. Community united. ✨

And this is only the beginning! 🚀

Happy 76th Birthday, Our Dear Bishop!

On this special day, the youths and parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church, Tunga, Minna, joyfully celebrate and thank God for the gift of your life and ministry.

Most Rev. Dr. Martin Igwe Uzoukwu, you have been a loving father, an ardent supporter, and a pillar to the youths. Your guidance, prayers, and unwavering commitment to the growth of God's people continue to inspire us.

May the Lord bless you with good health, renewed strength, abundant grace, and many more fruitful years in His vineyard.
