THE PAIN IN MINISTRY
MUST READ..
Managing people is one of the most complex and difficult assignments in ministry. As a pastor, you are called to lead different kinds of hearts, minds, attitudes, and levels of maturity. Some people will genuinely appreciate your sacrifices, prayers, and labor of love, while others may misunderstand, undermine, criticize, or even fight the very grace sent to help them.
One of the deepest revelations in ministry is this: God may call you to love people who may never fully understand you. Moses delivered Israel, yet they murmured against him. David fought for the people, yet was rejected by many. Even our Lord Jesus Christ healed, fed, and raised the dead, yet He was betrayed by one of His own.
The pain of ministry is not usually from strangers, but from those closest to you.
That is why you must love all but trust nobody Jeremiah 17:5
However, every pastor must learn that leadership is not sustained by applause but by divine conviction. If you depend on the praises of men, their criticisms will destroy your strength.
Ministry is beyond preaching sermons; it is carrying people in your heart even when they become burdensome. Sometimes God uses difficult people to build patience, wisdom, discernment, emotional strength, and a deeper dependence on the Holy Spirit in a leader.
A pastor must have the heart of a shepherd, not just the title of one. Sheep can wander, resist instruction, and even hurt the shepherd, yet the true shepherd still watches over them with love, wisdom, and firmness.
The assignment is heavy, but grace is available. Those who truly understand the burden of spiritual leadership will never take a genuine pastor for granted.let us pray
May the Lord keep all the pastors and soon to be grace at all times in Jesus name...........
Apostle Ayuba Elisha
