Independent Baptist Church Youth Fellowship Minna Niger State Soul winning is the heart beat of the church. He that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs11:30

Coming late to worship may cause us to miss the special moments God prepares at the beginning of the service—such as prayer, singing, Scripture reading, and the quiet preparation of the heart. Being early shows respect for God, readiness to listen, and eagerness to receive His blessings. When we value God’s presence, we prepare ourselves and come on time to meet Him. Punctuality in worship reflects love, reverence, and spiritual discipline. ⏰🙏✝️

Ecclesiastes 5:1
“Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.”

Psalm 63:1
“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.”

As you keep doing the right thing, you’re proving to God that He can trust you. We always want God to deliver us from the challenge, “I’m uncomfortable. I don’t like the opposition; these people aren’t treating me right.” But if you will say, “God, even if You don’t deliver me right now, I’m going to keep shining, keep praising, keep using my gifts, keep stretching, keep being my best.” Then, you’ll not only see God’s goodness along the way, but you’ll come into some explosive blessings, blessings that catapult you ahead. Where suddenly you’re promoted, suddenly you get well, suddenly you meet the right person, suddenly you’re thrust to a new level of your destiny.

Today's Scripture
God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
(Luke 1:26–28, NIV)
Highly Favored
Mary didn’t come from an influential, wealthy family. In the natural, there was nothing special about her. When the angel, Gabriel, appeared to her and called her “highly favored,” I’m sure at first Mary thought, You have the wrong girl. I’m just average. It’s easy to talk yourself out of what God says about you. But God is saying the same thing to you. Gabriel then told her she was going to have a baby without knowing a man. Sometimes God puts promises in our heart that seem unlikely. That’s why Gabriel started off the conversation by telling Mary that she was highly favored. When you face a situation that seems impossible, you have to keep reminding yourself that you are highly favored.
A few verses later, it says that Mary was blessed because she believed that the Lord would do what He said. Whatever God has spoken to your heart, do as Mary did and say, “God, I believe. I’m highly favored.”
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your promise to Mary that she had found favor with You, and she would give birth to Your Son. Thank You that no word from You has ever failed. I believe that I am highly favored, and Your words to me will be fulfilled. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Job 2:11–13
They sat on the ground with [Job] for seven days and seven nights. Job 2:13
Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 40–41; 2 Peter 3
When Jen, a theme park employee, saw Ralph collapse in tears on the ground, she rushed to help. Ralph, a young boy with autism, was sobbing because the ride he’d waited all day to enjoy had broken down. Instead of hurrying him to his feet or simply urging him to feel better, Jen got down onto the ground with Ralph, validating his feelings and allowing him the time to cry.
Jen’s actions are a beautiful example of how we can come alongside those who are grieving or suffering. The Bible tells of Job’s crippling grief after the loss of his home, his herds (his income), his health, and the simultaneous deaths of his ten children. When Job’s friends learned of his pain, they “set out from their homes . . . [to go] comfort him” (Job 2:11). Job sat on the ground in mourning. When they arrived, his friends sat down with him—for seven days—saying nothing because they saw the depth of his suffering.
In their humanness, Job’s friends later offered Job insensitive advice. But for the first seven days, they gave him the wordless and tender gift of presence. We may not understand someone’s grief, but we don’t need to understand in order to love them well by simply being with them.
- Kirsten Holmberg
Who has been with you in difficult times? Who needs your presence today?
God, I thank You for being with me always—in good times and bad. Help me to offer that gift of presence to those You put in my path.

The key is to forgive quickly. Let go of things you don’t understand right away. It takes time to get over hurts and get over loss. It doesn’t happen overnight, but when the questions come up, “Why did this happen to me? It’s not fair.” When you feel the bitterness trying to take root, say, “God, I’m turning this over to You. I know You’re my vindicator. I know You’ll make my wrongs right. You said You would give me beauty for these ashes. You said You would pay me back double for what

Today's Scripture
The LORD took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the LORD.
(Ezekiel 37:1, NLT)
When God Shoots You Out
In today’s Scripture, the word carried means “to shoot out, to launch forward.” It implies acceleration. As God carries you through life, it’s not always going to be routine, predictable, little by little. There are times when God is going to shoot you out and propel you years down the road. He’ll give you a break that you don’t deserve. He’ll cause you to meet the right person. He’ll turn a problem around when you didn’t see a way.
Your destiny is bigger than you’ve dreamed. You may feel as though you’ll never get to where you’re supposed to be. When God shoots you out, you’re going to make up for lost time. No person, no bad break, no unfair situation, and no organization can stop you. The doors that are going to open, the people you’re going to meet, and the opportunities that are coming your way are going to be bigger, better, more rewarding that you’ve ever thought possible.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for being a God who makes up for lost time. I believe that You will accomplish my dreams faster than I thought possible, and my future is bright because this is my time for acceleration. I believe that You will bless me beyond my dreams. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Words are powerful. They are like seeds - when we believe them, when we dwell on them, they'll take root. They can grow and become what we're saying.

Today's Scripture
“Be quiet!” the crowd yelled at them. But they only shouted louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?”
(Matthew 20:31–32, NLT)
What Do You Want?
It seemed obvious what the blind men needed. Why did Jesus ask them? Because He wanted to see what they were believing. They could’ve said, “Jesus, we just need cash for some food.” If they had asked from a limited mentality, it would have kept them in defeat. Instead, they asked big. They said, “Lord, we want to see.” They were saying, “We know You can do the impossible.” When Jesus heard their request, He touched their eyes, and instantly, they could see.
God is asking us the same question: “What do you want Me to do for you?” Now, how you answer is going to have a great impact on what God does. Don’t say, “God, help me endure my job. Help me get by.” No, dare to ask big. “God, I want to see my whole family serve You.” “God, I want to pay off my house loan.” Ask for your dreams. Ask even for things that seem impossible.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that just as You restored the sight of the blind men, You can do the impossible in my life. Thank You that I can bring You the desires of my heart. Help me be bold to ask You for the big things only You can make happen. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare…Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the end of the earth.”
(Isaiah 42:9–10, ESV)
Sing a New Song
In today’s Scripture, God is saying that the things you’ve been struggling with are coming to an end—the disappointment, the hurt, the bad habits. He’s about to put a stop to it and do a new thing. But if you’re going to see the negative come to an end and God do a new thing, you have to sing a new song. You can’t go around with that same old song of who hurt me and how wrong it was. No more singing about what you can’t do and how it’s never going to work out. No, get rid of that song of defeat and self-pity and start singing a song of victory. “I know God’s turning it to my advantage. He’s turning my mourning into dancing. He’s armed me with strength for this battle. I will lose this weight. I will break this addiction.”
Is there something you need to get over today? Make this decision: no more excuses.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are worthy of my worship and new songs of praise. Thank You that I can put the old sad songs of defeat behind me and start singing songs of victory. I declare that this is a new day, and my dreams and vision are being renewed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

What God has in store is bigger than you can imagine, more rewarding, more fulfilling. Instead of going around frustrated because of what’s not happening, turn it around, “Father, thank You for the blessings You’ve already set up. Thank You for the favor, the promotion, the healing, good breaks that You’ve already ordained to come across my path.” When you live in faith, expecting God’s goodness, there are moments of favor that you’ll come into suddenly. You didn’t see it coming. There wasn’t any sign of it. But suddenly a good break, suddenly you meet the right person, suddenly the paperwork goes through. It’s one of those blessings that God has already set up.
