To the woman who feels unseen, unheard, and unloved…
I want you to know first that your feelings are valid. The pain you carry is real. The silence you sit in, the moments you question your worth, the nights you wonder if you made the wrong choice, all of it matters.
Being an additional wife is not an easy path, no matter how strong you are or how much faith you try to hold onto. You may have entered this marriage with hope, with love, with the belief that your heart would be protected and your presence valued. But somewhere along the way, things began to feel different.
You started noticing the imbalance.
The emotional distance.
The way your needs became secondary.
The way you had to “adjust” more than you were ever meant to.
And slowly, you began to shrink.
You stopped expressing yourself the way you used to.
You started convincing yourself to be patient, even when it hurt deeply.
You told yourself maybe things will change over and over again.
But inside, something feels heavy.
Let me say this clearly to you, You are not too much. You are not asking for too much. Wanting love, attention, fairness, emotional connection, these are not luxuries. They are basic needs in any marriage.
You deserve to be seen.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve to feel chosen, not tolerated.
And if you feel neglected, it is not something to ignore or bury. Your heart is signaling that something is missing, something important.
At the same time, I want you to approach this with wisdom, not just pain.
Pause and ask yourself
Have I clearly expressed how I feel, or have I been silently hoping he will notice?
Am I losing myself while trying to “keep peace”?
What kind of marriage do I truly want, and is this situation moving me closer to it?
You cannot control another person’s actions, but you can decide how you respond, what you accept, and how you protect your emotional well being.
This is not about competing with another wife.
This is not about proving your worth.
Your value
