A TRUE LIFE ACCOUNT

How can I forget that faithful day? It was my 200 levels in the university and I had woken up with a bad dream. So I had kept thinking and thinking of this dream and could only come to one interpretation: someone I double-crossed had gone to one of those false prophets (the set of witch doctors masquerading as God's prophets) in a bid to harm me and since this could even kill me, I was getting warned by that dream. I even suspected one boy in particular. How very accurate or not my interpretation was, I still cannot tell, but one thing I know for sure: the dead don't come back to tell of what led to their death. So by afternoon or was it evening that day, I was kneeling and calling Jesus to wash away my sins and come back into my heart and life. Of course I needn't assistance because I was not new to the gospel. I had been born again as a youth and actually grown up in a true bible Church but had at various times allowed youthful lusts to take me back to sinful living and sinfulness. So I needed no preacher that faithful day to run to Jesus for salvation. Ok, I own up to running to Jesus Christ that faithful day because I feared for my life. Some nobler persons come to the saviour out of mere affection and some others through remorse after hearing God's word. I confess to my weakness in that respect but I was not prepared to allow some malicious youth snuffle out my life that day; so I ran as fast I could to the Lord Jesus who accepted me despite the harm or death hanging over my head by my own fault (and truth be told, I was not guiltless of the said offence).
TREASURE

I knew the saviour and would not let go after that day, or put better, the Lord helped me. Now today I wish to tell you that I struck diamond (not mere gold). I think I owe you my reader the duty to tell you that what you miss by refusing to be born again by the blood of Jesus is ages (real ages) more than all you could ever hope to get in this life outside Christ. I want to tell you that alone even if I tell you nothing after that. And you can take me up on that singular assertion, letter for letter any day. Not the stereotype Christian teaching of heaven and hell and dying and going to hell. No, not just that but diamond bigger than one single lifetime of itself. And guess what? This treasure is available to all through Jesus, to all who ever believes in him and are saved by him. So would you hunt and get treasure or would you choose mediocrity and continue living 2nd class life in sin? The choice is yours dear. But the above is my true life story.
HOW?

Now how does a man, woman, boy or girl go about receiving Jesus as lord and saviour to be born again?
1) You need to pray to him singularly for this. You need to set out to pray just to ask Jesus to forgive all the sins you ever committed and come into your heart and life as your lord and saviour. Nothing else. (Rom 10:12-13; 1 Pet. 1:18-19)
2) You must have the decision to quit the life of sins and begin a new life of righteousness immediately after this prayer. This is the only condition required. (2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 8:12-14)
3) Whatever language, construction or choice of words for this watershed prayer is insignificant because God hears all kinds of languages and constructions. SO PRAY AND ASK HIS FORGIVENESS. ASK HIM TO WASH YOU WITH HIS BLOOD AND THEN ASK HIM TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND LIFE. (John 6:37; Isaiah 55:7)
4) That is all except that you should thank him for answering before saying the final amen because He actually did and does answer unquestionably and failure to acknowledge this is an affront on Him worse than as if you did not pray in the first place.

Welcome back. If you have followed the above four steps, then you are now a child of God, born again by the blood of Jesus Christ. That was exactly what I did that faithful day in my 200 levels in school and got a new life, years ago. Today I am singing all the way to glory land with such treasures as will blow your mind if heaven sees the mercy to enlighten you on what I am talking about. You can come to Jesus today and try your luck at finding treasures by taking the above steps to salvation first.
