ASH WEDNESDAY...
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent in the Christian calendar a 40-day season of fasting, prayer, and reflection leading up to Easter. On this day, believers receive ashes on their foreheads in the shape of a cross, often accompanied by the words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:19).
The ashes symbolize humility, mortality, and repentance. They remind Christians of the need to turn away from sin and return wholeheartedly to God. Ash Wednesday is not just a ritual; it is a spiritual invitation to self-examination, discipline, and deeper intimacy with God through prayer, fasting, and acts of charity.
Ultimately, Ash Wednesday points believers toward transformation dying to the old self and rising in newness of life through Christ.
May God grant us all Grace to go through this season of sober reflection and come out better
