TOPIC: DAILY WALKING IN GOD’S WILL

SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY:

MEMORY VERSE:
"Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness." – Psalm 143:10

COMMENTARY:

As we have stepped into a new year, it is crucial to realign our hearts and steps with the will of God. Walking daily in God’s will is not a one-time decision but a continuous journey that requires absolute surrender, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and obedience to His Word.

Many believers struggle with discerning God's will because they are too occupied with their own plans. However, Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our understanding. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths. This means that God desires to be involved in every aspect of our lives—our choices, relationships, careers, and spiritual growth.

Romans 12:2 further tells us that we must not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. God's will is not hidden from us; rather, it is revealed as we consistently seek Him in prayer, study His Word, and live in obedience.

When a person walks daily in God's will, they enjoy divine guidance, supernatural enlargement, and fulfillment of purpose. However, stepping outside of God’s will leads to confusion, frustration, and stagnation. Therefore, as we journey through this year, let us commit to walking closely with God, allowing His Spirit to lead us into greater dimensions of blessings and enlargement.

REFLECTIONS:

Am I seeking God’s will in my daily decisions or relying on my own understanding?

How often do I take time to listen to the Holy Spirit before making choices?

Am I willing to surrender my plans and desires for God’s perfect will in my life?

MY COUNSEL:

1. Start each day by surrendering your plans to God and asking for His direction.

2. Stay in the Word of God; His will is clearly revealed in the Scriptures.

3. Develop a lifestyle of prayer and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

4. Be willing to let go of personal ambitions that contradict God’s purpose for your life.

5. Trust that God's will is always for your good, even when it seems difficult to follow.

CONCLUSION:

Daily walking in God’s will is a key to living a life of divine enlargement and fulfillment. As we continue in this new year, let us make it a priority to seek God’s direction in everything we do. When we choose to follow His will, we position ourselves for divine breakthroughs, peace, and unprecedented blessings.

TOPIC: CONQUERING SPIRITUAL SLOTHFULNESS

SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY:
Proverbs 6:9-11, Hebrews 6:12, Romans 12:11

MEMORY VERSE:
"Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord." – Romans 12:11

COMMENTARY

Spiritual slothfulness is a silent enemy that hinders enlargement, progress, and destiny fulfillment. It is the state of being spiritually lazy, indifferent, or passive in the things of God. Many believers start their spiritual journey with zeal but gradually lose their fire due to complacency, distractions, and discouragement.

The Bible warns us against spiritual laziness, comparing it to the attitude of the sluggard who refuses to labor (Proverbs 6:9-11). Such a person finds excuses to delay spiritual responsibilities—prayer, Bible study, evangelism, and service in God’s house—while expecting divine breakthroughs. However, God honors diligence. Hebrews 6:12 instructs us to be followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. This means that spiritual inheritance requires consistency in seeking God.

One major sign of spiritual slothfulness is a decline in prayer life. Prayerlessness opens the door for attacks, delays, and stagnation. Jesus, even in His busiest moments, maintained a lifestyle of fervent prayer (Mark 1:35). Another sign is a loss of passion for God’s Word. Many believers become too busy for personal devotion, and before long, their faith weakens.

Slothfulness does not only affect an individual’s spiritual life but also their overall success. A lazy believer will struggle with delayed manifestations of God’s promises, because God responds to diligence (2 Peter 1:5-10). The enemy uses slothfulness to weaken Christians, causing them to miss divine visitations and opportunities. But there is a way out!

God desires His children to be fervent in spirit (Romans 12:11). Spiritual revival comes through discipline—praying even when you don’t feel like it, reading the Word even when it seems difficult, and pushing past distractions to stay in God’s presence. As we step into this new year, the Lord is calling us to conquer spiritual slothfulness and embrace a life of fervency.

REFLECTIONS

Have you noticed a decline in your personal prayer life or Bible study?

Are there divine instructions you have been postponing due to laziness?

What steps can you take today to reignite your spiritual fire?

MY COUNSEL

1. Take responsibility for your spiritual growth. No one can grow for you—be intentional about your walk with God.

2. Set a daily spiritual routine. Have a scheduled time for prayer, Bible reading, and worship.

3. Avoid spiritual distractions. Stay away from habits, places, or people that drain your zeal for God.

4. Surround yourself with fire carriers. Stay connected to believers who inspire you to grow in faith.

5. Fast and pray for fresh fire. Sometimes, slothfulness is caused by spiritual attacks—engage in fasting to break free.

CONCLUSION

No one attains greatness in the Kingdom with a lukewarm spirit. If you must experience enlargement this year, you must conquer spiritual slothfulness and become diligent in your walk with God. The grace for consistency is available, but it requires a conscious decision to pursue God wholeheartedly. Will you rise today and take charge of your spiritual life?

1. Father, rekindle the fire of Your Spirit in my life and break every form of spiritual slothfulness.

2. Lord, give me fresh hunger for Your Word and empower me to be diligent in spiritual matters.

3. By the blood of Jesus, I reject distractions, weariness, and lukewarmness in my walk with God.

TOPIC: HOW PRIDE HINDERS ENLARGEMENT

SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY:
Proverbs 16:18
James 4:6
Daniel 4:30-37

MEMORY VERSE:
"Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." – Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)

COMMENTARY

Pride is a silent killer of destiny. It is an enemy of enlargement that operates subtly, often disguised as self-confidence or personal achievement. Many have missed divine promotion because pride made them believe they could succeed without God.

Nebuchadnezzar is a classic biblical example of how pride leads to downfall (Daniel 4:30-37). He gloried in his achievements, failing to acknowledge God as the source of his greatness. The result? God humbled him, stripping him of his kingdom until he repented.

God resists the proud (James 4:6). That means He actively fights against them, preventing their progress and enlargement. Pride creates a barrier between man and divine favor. It shuts doors of opportunities and causes stagnation.

In contrast, humility invites grace. The Bible says, "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (James 4:10). When we acknowledge that every good thing comes from God, we position ourselves for divine enlargement.

REFLECTIONS

1. Have you ever taken credit for something that was purely the grace of God?

2. Are there areas in your life where pride has hindered your spiritual or physical enlargement?

3. What steps can you take to walk in humility and attract divine promotion?

MY COUNSEL

1. Examine your heart daily. Ask God to reveal any traces of pride in you and help you walk in humility.

2. Acknowledge God in all things. Always give God the glory for your successes, no matter how small.

3. Learn from the humble. Surround yourself with people who exemplify humility and seek to emulate them.

4. Serve others. Jesus, our perfect example, humbled Himself as a servant (Philippians 2:5-8). True greatness is found in serving.

CONCLUSION

Pride is a thief of destiny. It can hinder your enlargement and cause you to miss divine opportunities. If you desire to experience the fullness of God’s blessings this year, you must let go of self-exaltation and embrace humility. The way up in the kingdom of God is always down in surrender. Humble yourself, and God will lift you.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I repent of every prideful thought and action that has hindered my progress. Have mercy on me, in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, clothe me with the spirit of humility, that I may walk in divine favor and enlargement.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF DISCERNMENT IN BATTLES

SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY:
2 Kings 6:17
1 John 4:1
Hebrews 5:14

MEMORY VERSE:

"But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." — Hebrews 5:14

COMMENTARY:

The journey of life is filled with both visible and invisible battles. Many people struggle not because they lack strength but because they lack discernment. Discernment is the ability to see beyond the surface, to perceive spiritual realities, and to make the right decisions in the midst of warfare.

One of the greatest enemies of enlargement is ignorance. The devil thrives where there is blindness. In 2 Kings 6:17, Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, and suddenly, he saw that the armies of God were greater than the enemy surrounding them. Without discernment, we often react in fear rather than faith, making hasty decisions that invite destruction.

Satan uses deception as a weapon. The Bible warns us to test every spirit (1 John 4:1) because not everything that looks right is from God. Many destinies have been truncated because of wrong associations, deceptive opportunities, or decisions made without divine guidance.

In spiritual warfare, discernment helps us to recognize God’s strategies, detect the enemy’s schemes, and avoid unnecessary battles. A man of discernment will not fight every fight but will engage only in battles that lead to victory. Joshua was deceived by the Gibeonites (Joshua 9) because he failed to seek the Lord’s counsel. One wrong agreement can put an entire generation in bo***ge.

As we step into this new year, it is crucial to sharpen our spiritual senses. This is not a year to be careless or to assume that everything is as it seems. We must be intentional about seeking divine direction before making major moves. Discernment will save us from hidden traps and lead us into divine enlargement.

REFLECTIONS:

Have you ever made a wrong decision because you lacked discernment?

Are you intentional about seeking God’s guidance before making decisions?

How often do you ask the Holy Spirit to sharpen your spiritual senses?

MY COUNSEL:

1. Develop a strong prayer life. The more you pray, the sharper your discernment becomes (Jeremiah 33:3).

2. Meditate on the Word daily. The Word of God is light, and it exposes hidden things (Psalm 119:105).

3. Avoid hasty decisions. Learn to wait on the Lord before taking action (Isaiah 40:31).

4. Surround yourself with spiritually discerning people. The company you keep affects your discernment (Proverbs 13:20).

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. He is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17-18).

CONCLUSION:

Spiritual battles are real, and only those with discernment will prevail. As you journey through this year, may your eyes be opened to see what others cannot see. May the Holy Spirit guide your steps, keep you from deception, and lead you into divine enlargement.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, open my spiritual eyes and sharpen my discernment in this season, in Jesus’ name.

2. O Lord, deliver me from every deceptive trap and wrong association that seeks to hinder my enlargement, in Jesus’ name.

3. Holy Spirit, guide my steps daily and help me to make decisions that align with God’s purpose for my life, in Jesus’ name.

COMMENTARY:

The greatest hindrance to divine enlargement is a sinful lifestyle. Sin is a spiritual chain that limits a person's access to the blessings of God. It is not just an action; it is a force that seeks to enslave, hinder, and ultimately destroy destinies.

The Bible makes it clear that those who continue in sin cannot experience the fullness of God’s grace and favor (Isaiah 59:1-2). Many people struggle with habits and weaknesses that keep them in bo***ge, preventing them from breaking forth into their divine inheritance. These strongholds could be lust, pride, unforgiveness, anger, greed, or any form of unrighteousness.

However, the good news is that through Jesus Christ, we have the power to break free from sin. When a man surrenders fully to Christ, a transformation takes place. The old life of sin loses its grip, and a new life of righteousness begins (2 Corinthians 5:17).

It is important to note that deliverance from sinful habits does not come by human effort alone but by the working of the Holy Spirit. The power of God enables us to overcome temptations, reject ungodly desires, and walk in holiness (Galatians 5:16). As believers, we must consciously feed on the Word of God, stay in the place of prayer, and surround ourselves with godly influences to sustain our freedom from sin.

If we truly desire enlargement in every area of our lives, we must decisively break free from every sinful entanglement. The Lord is calling us to a life of total surrender and consecration in this new year.

REFLECTIONS:

What sinful habits or weaknesses have been holding you back?

Are you willing to fully surrender to Jesus and allow His power to set you free?

What practical steps can you take to avoid falling back into sin?

MY COUNSEL:

1. Repent genuinely – True deliverance begins with acknowledging sin and turning away from it completely.

2. Engage the Word of God – God's Word is a cleansing agent; study and meditate on it daily (Psalm 119:11).

3. Stay accountable – Surround yourself with godly people who can help you stay on the path of righteousness.

4. Walk in the Spirit – Yield to the Holy Spirit daily, allowing Him to guide and empower you.

5. Flee from temptation – Do not entertain anything that could lead you back into sin (1 Corinthians 10:13).

CONCLUSION:

Sin is a major enemy of divine enlargement. It corrupts, hinders, and ultimately destroys destinies. But by the grace of God, we have the power to break free. The blood of Jesus has set us free, and we must walk in that liberty, refusing to be entangled again in the bo***ge of sin. As we step into this new year, let us make a firm decision to live righteously, for only in holiness can we experience divine enlargement.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to break free from every sinful habit and walk in righteousness.

2. Lord, let Your Holy Spirit empower me daily to live a life that pleases You.

3. I decree and declare that sin shall not have dominion over me; I am free by the blood of Jesus!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:

I declare that in this new year, every chain of sin and bo***ge in your life is broken! You shall walk in holiness and righteousness, and sin shall not have dominion over you. Receive fresh grace to live a life that pleases God. Your enlargement shall not be hindered! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

WEEKLY THEME: ENEMIES OF ENLARGEMENT

TOPIC: OVERCOMING THE SPIRIT OF LIMITATION

SCRIPTURES FOR TODAY:
Isaiah 54:2-3

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

MEMORY VERSE:

"For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall."
—Psalm 18:29 (KJV)

COMMENTARY:

As we journey into this new year, one of the greatest battles every believer must confront is the spirit of limitation—a force that restricts progress, suppresses destiny, and hinders divine enlargement. Many people find themselves stuck in cycles of struggle, unable to rise beyond certain levels despite their efforts. This is not just a natural occurrence but often a spiritual resistance that requires divine intervention.

The spirit of limitation manifests in various ways: stagnation, financial struggles, delayed breakthroughs, near-success syndrome, and repeated failures at the edge of major breakthroughs. This is what kept the Israelites wandering in the wilderness for 40 years (Numbers 14:33-34). It is the force that sought to keep Jabez in pain and dishonor until he cried out to God (1 Chronicles 4:9-10).

However, the good news is that God has given us power to overcome limitations. Through the Word, prayer, and strategic spiritual warfare, we can break free from every boundary imposed on our lives. In Zechariah 4:7, the Lord declares, "Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain." Every mountain standing against your advancement must give way in Jesus’ name!

Today, God is calling you to rise above limitations. No matter how long you have been confined, no matter the strongholds resisting your enlargement, divine empowerment is available for you. Take hold of God’s promises, engage in warfare prayers, and refuse to settle for less than what God has ordained for you!

REFLECTIONS:

Are there areas in your life where you feel stuck or unable to progress?

Have you identified the patterns of limitation operating in your life or family?

What steps are you taking to engage God’s power for your enlargement?

MY COUNSEL:

1. Reject every mindset of limitation. Do not accept stagnation as your reality—believe in God's power to enlarge you.

2. Engage in aggressive prayers. Some limitations require spiritual warfare to break (Matthew 11:12).

3. Walk in obedience to divine instructions. Partial obedience can result in prolonged limitations.

4. Speak the Word of God daily over your life. Declare enlargement and breakthroughs over every area of your life.

CONCLUSION:

The spirit of limitation is real, but God’s power is greater! As you engage in prayer, faith, and obedience, every restriction will be broken. You are stepping into divine enlargement this year—what stopped you before will no longer stop you. Rise in faith and take your place in destiny!

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, in the name of Jesus, I break every limitation placed upon my life, family, and destiny!

2. O Lord, by Your mighty hand, push me into my season of supernatural enlargement and breakthroughs!

3. I decree that every power resisting my advancement shall be destroyed by fire in Jesus' name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION:

I prophesy over your life today: Every limitation is broken! Every barrier is lifted! You shall move forward, and nothing shall stop your enlargement. Enter into your new season of breakthroughs, in Jesus' mighty name!
