HE WILL WORK A WAY.

Alma and his people struggle in bo***ge we saw how the Lord strengthened them in their struggle. But today, we celebrate their complete deliverance. The people had submitted cheerfully, and then the Lord told Alma.

lift up your head and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bo***ge.’ (Mosiah 24:16)
The Lord didn’t send an army. He caused a ‘deep sleep’ to fall upon all the Lamanite guards. In the quiet of the morning, Alma and his people walked out of their city in perfect safety, gathering their flocks and departing for the wilderness.

This same pattern of delivering those who have no hope left is consistent across the Bible.
In Exodus 14:13, when the Red Sea was in front of them and Pharaoh’s army was behind them, Moses said:
‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.

Deliverance often comes when we are at our absolute limit. God asks us to "lift up our heads" even when it feels heavy. He sees your covenant, He sees your patience, and He promises to work a way, even if that way requires a "deep sleep" for your obstacles.
What is the hardest part for you about standing still" and waiting for the Lord’s timing? 👇

OUR BURDENS MADE LIGHT.

Today we are looking at how to find joy when our physical circumstances seem to crush us.
We are studying Alma and his people. They were forced into difficult, heavy labor and threatened by a cruel master. Yet, Mosiah 24:15 gives us this profound glimpse into their hearts.
And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light, yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.
This same miracle of finding peace in a prison is shared in the Bible.
In Philippians 4:13, Paul, writing from a jail cell, declares.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
God didn't immediately remove the chains or the work, but He strengthened their backs so the heavy loads felt light. They found internal freedom through faith.
How did they do it? They submitted cheerfully and patiently. Their 'yes' to God was greater than their 'no' to their master. Joy is not about waiting for the storm to pass it’s about finding God’s strength in the storm.
Have you ever experienced that sweet, supernatural peace that defies your physical reality? 👇

WILLING TO BEAR ONE ANOTHER’S ’s BURDENS.

Today we are standing at the edge of the Waters of Mormon.
Alma didn't just ask people to believe; he asked them to belong. He taught that if we want to be called God’s people, we must be, willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light, Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn, yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort (Mosiah 18:8-9)
The Side-by-Side Connection.
This heart-centered message is exactly what the Bible teaches about how we treat our neighbors.
In Galatians 6:2, Paul writes.
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Baptism is a beautiful individual choice, but it’s also an invitation into a family. Being a Christian isn't just about my personal relationship with God; it’s about how I help you carry your heavy backpack.
The Waters of Mormon were 'beautiful to the eyes' of the people because that is where they found a community that truly cared. Today, we can be someone’s 'Waters of Mormon' by simply listening to their grief or helping them with a task that feels too heavy to do alone.
Is there someone in your life whose burden you can help lighten today?

ONE BELIEVER. A NATION REBORN.

looking at a pivotal moment today. When Abinadi finished speaking his final witness, it seemed like no one was listening. He was cast out and sentenced to death by King Noah.
But there was one person listening.
In Mosiah 17:2, we read about Alma, one of Noah’s young priests.
‘...and he knew that Abinadi had spoken the truth... for he was a young man, and he believed the words which Abinadi had spoken
The Side-by-Side Connection:
This is the same quiet miracle we see throughout the Bible. It only takes one seed.
In Luke 8:15, Jesus teaches:
But that on the good ground are they which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
The Lesson:
Alma was the good ground for Abinadi’s seed. Because of this one young man’s belief, he would go on to baptize hundreds, establish the Church, and save thousands of lives. The entire future of the Book of Mormon hangs on this one man’s courage to believe what everyone else was mocking.
You are that sower. When you share your faith, stand for truth, or just show kindness, you might feel like you are failing because no one is listening. But you don't know who you are planting a seed in. God sees that single heart.
Have you ever shared something you believed in, even when it felt like everyone was against you? 👇
