The Importance of Beginning Every Month on the Mountain

In the Bible, mountains were places of encounter with God—Moses received the Law there (Exodus 19), Elijah heard God’s still small voice there (1 Kings 19), and Jesus often went up the mountain to pray (Luke 6:12).

Starting each month on the mountain in prayer reminds Christians that:

1. It sets God first – committing the new month to Him acknowledges that He is the source of life and blessing (Matthew 6:33).

2. It brings clarity and strength – mountain prayer symbolizes separation from distractions and seeking divine direction (Habakkuk 2:1).

3. It builds spiritual covering – dedicating the month creates a shield against unseen battles (Psalm 91:1).

4. It positions us for victory – those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

Beginning the month with God is like laying a strong foundation; it helps the rest of the days fall into alignment with His will.

Adoni-Bezek shows up in Judges 1:4-7, and his story carries a sharp lesson. When Israel defeated him, they cut off his thumbs and big toes—the same way he had treated seventy other kings before. He admitted, “As I have done, so God has repaid me.”

The lesson for Christians is pretty clear:

Bad character brings bitter harvest 🌱—Adoni-Bezek’s cruelty eventually returned to him. What he sowed, he reaped.

God’s justice is sure ⚖️—no matter how powerful someone may seem, God balances the scales in His own time.

Mercy is better than cruelty 💜—his downfall warns us against pride, oppression, and delighting in the suffering of others.

Self-examination is important 🔎—Christians are called to check their actions, because our choices have consequences.

It’s almost like his life is a living proverb: “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

Amazing Encounters on the Mountain During Our Prayer Retreat – Short Note

During our recent prayer retreat on the mountain, we experienced divine encounters that left lasting spiritual impacts. The atmosphere was filled with God’s presence, and many hearts were revived. We saw clear answers to prayers, prophetic revelations, and deep personal convictions. Some received healing, while others encountered God in visions and dreams.

It was a time of spiritual refreshing, empowerment, and rededication. Truly, the mountain became a place of transformation and divine encounter—just like Moses on Mount Sinai and Jesus during His transfiguration (Exodus 34:29, Luke 9:28-29). We returned renewed, with fresh fire to fulfill God's purpose.

Rev Amo Isaac visited the home of a native doctor who had been involved in deep traditional practices for many years. The purpose of the visit was not confrontation, but redemption.
After a period of prayer and spiritual engagement, the pastor ministered deliverance to the family and relatives of the native doctor, who confessed his past involvement in idol worship.

The power of God was evident as the man renounced his former ways, surrendered his charms, and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.

It was a powerful moment of transformation, showing that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.
This visit served as a testimony to the power of prayer, love, and the redemptive message of the gospel.
