*DAILY DEVOTIONAL 2026*
SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST 2026

*YOU HAVE BEEN EMPOWERED TO BUILD AND TO PLANT*

“See I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out and to pull down and to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” - Jeremiah 1:10 KJV

Beloved, God sent me to remind you that you have been empowered. You have been enabled to bounce back. You have what it takes to make the rulers of darkness tremble. The kingdom of God resides within you. The Greater One lives in you. He is greater than he that is in the world. What you bind on earth is bound in heaven; what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.

The passage says, “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out and to pull down and to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” In other words, after the destruction and devastation, you have the authority and power to build and to plant. This is your planting season. Planting means putting something in the ground for growth, and you have been firmly rooted. No shaking at all. The storm has come, and the storm has passed. Now it is time to build.

Planting also means increasing and developing towards maximum intensity. It means to prosper. That is God’s plan for you. He desires to prosper you beyond your greatest imagination. You have been empowered to succeed!

Destruction and devastation are not the end of your life or the end of your story. Your story will conclude in full color with a big manifestation of God’s glory. It shall be from glory to glory and from grace to grace. God knows what He is doing in your life.

So, leave everything in His hands. God will not abandon you. He will give you the upper hand in every battle of life. No power will truncate or diminish your destiny.

SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST 2026

*DO NOT SAY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE*

“Be not afraid of their faces for I am with thee to deliver thee saith the Lord.” - Jeremiah 1:8 KJV

God spoke to a young man named Jeremiah and revealed the destiny He had prepared for him. Jeremiah struggled to believe it because it seemed too vast for him to comprehend. Like many today, he asked, “How can this be?” You may be asking the same, “How can I come out bigger, better, and stronger after all I’ve been through?”

Jeremiah said, “How can you say that I'm coming out bigger, better, and stronger? You don’t know the losses I’ve suffered and the things that have happened to me.” God responded, “Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” - Jeremiah 1:7 KJV. God was telling him to stop declaring impossibility because he would indeed accomplish everything God had purposed for him.

Beloved, God kept you alive for a time like this for a reason. You are a wonder to your generation. You are going to emerge on a global platform. It is happening. Stop saying it is not possible. Stop being afraid of what you see around you. The fact that you have little or nothing will not limit God. Stop trying to inform God of what He already knows. He knows, yet He promises to make you bigger, better, and stronger.

Then the Lord touched Jeremiah’s mouth and said, “Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.” - Jeremiah 1:9 KJV. God was affirming, “When I reveal My plans to you, I will not abandon you. I will empower you to execute them. You will not struggle alone.”

Beloved, in the same way, God has put His hand and His word in your mouth. This means you have all it takes to succeed. God has already made provision. The asset you carry is God’s hand upon you and the word He has placed in your mouth. You cannot fail.

WISDOM FOR THE DAY
FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST
2026

*IT IS YOUR TIME OF SETTLEMENT*

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, made you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” - 1 Peter 5:10 KJV

Time is one of the most powerful and valuable resources God has made available for us to function here on earth. “…After ye have suffered a while…” indicates a period of challenge, obstacles, difficulties, distress, pain, and turbulence, like the tough seasons we sometimes endure.

Then it says that God will perfect you, establish, strengthen, and settle you. Therefore, you must understand the timing you are in. Beloved, this is your time of settlement. God has decided to settle you! The book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 says: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which was planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up” (KJV). Everything has its own timing.
This is a building-up time for you. This is your season of divine settlement!

The entire world has recently experienced unprecedented devastation and disruption in many areas. Many economic, medical, educational, career, professional, church, and business structures have been shaken. However, this is your time to build and a season to plant.

You will rebuild whatever the enemy has destroyed. It will come out bigger, better, and stronger. This will positively impact your family, health, relationships, business, and career. You may have suffered reverses, but you will rise. You will not sink in the face of devastation. I assure you that you are going to bounce back, better and stronger.

Take your eyes away from the ruins, ashes, and waste, and envision a more vibrant, hopeful picture ahead of you. See a different reality from what you have experienced before. In your ministry, marketplace, trade, career, education, health, and family, you are emerging bigger and stronger because this is your season of divine settlement.

THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST 2026

*YOU ALREADY HAVE IT*

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” - Ephesians 1:4 KJV

Every promise of God over your life must come to pass. God has assured us that the angel of the Lord is encamped around us and will surely bring deliverance to us. The angels of God will serve us. That is why you must be diligent in reading the Word of God so that you can stand on it with understanding.

These are words and promises that God had already perfected in eternity. They are bound to happen in your life. From heaven’s perspective, those promises are already a done deal. The reason they may not have manifested yet is because we are living in time.

Function with the understanding of a movie producer. A producer isn’t anxious while watching a movie because he has already seen it behind the scenes. He knows the script, he knows the outcome, and he knows that the main actors won’t die; nothing can harm them. Child of God, understand that nothing dies in your hands. What you are about to do will prosper. Everything about you will prosper. Your business, career, profession, and every assignment you undertake will succeed.

The book of Ephesians 1:3 tells us, “Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Verse 4 continues, “According as He has chosen us in Him.” We were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. You were chosen by God before your parents even came together – to be holy and without blame before Him in love.

He has already called you holy, even before you were born. So, don’t reject your holiness simply because you have faltered one, two, or three times. In the Kingdom, we don’t see to believe; we believe to see. We don’t possess in order to confess; we confess in order to possess. We speak it into existence in order to claim it.

WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST 2026

*DON'T LIVE IN SIN*

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” - Titus 2:11-12 KJV

Grace is not a license to live in sin. Grace teaches us to live for Christ. You cannot live anyhow and claim you are under grace. If you do, another spirit is guiding you, not grace. It is crucial to understand that sin has consequences and wages.

Wages are a payment for work done, a compensation, a reward. Even though you have eternal life, are saved, and loved unconditionally by God, sin still pays you its wages. The consequences of sin happen while God’s love for you remains. Sin brings results that are unavoidable.

When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they realized they were naked. They heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid themselves among the trees. They disobeyed God and suffered the consequences of sin.

Yet, God still came to them. He never abandoned them, and He will never leave you. But because of their disobedience, they lost their place in the garden, their boldness before God, and began to hide. Likewise, living in sin can make you hide from God, and your love for Him can grow cold even though His love for you remains steadfast.

TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST 2026

*CONTINUE IN THE SCRIPTURES*

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;” - 2 Timothy 3:13-14 KJV

The Apostle Paul tells Timothy, “But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.” Whatever you encounter in the journey of life, the Lord will deliver you.

Paul goes further to say, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” Evil will not stop as we approach the end of the age. It is increasing, but the key to overcoming is to continue in the Word. There is a divine assurance that the Word will never fail. It makes you wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

The way to live consistently above sin is the Scriptures. The way of survival is in the Scriptures. The way to overcome is in the Scriptures. The way to fight spiritual warfare is in the Scriptures. Your guarantee of victory comes from engaging with the Word. Accept the reality of spiritual warfare because you are already involved, whether you see it or not.

Apostle Paul also writes to the church at Ephesus, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Your strength must come from the Lord, not from your own abilities, expertise, or connections. That is why it is vital to continue in the Word of God.

MONDAY 10TH AUGUST 2026

*DON'T YIELD TO SIN*

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” - Romans 6:16 KJV

According to Matthew 24:12, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” When you are deliberately living in sin, your love for God will grow cold. The problem is that people don't understand that the love of God is meant to draw them closer to Him. If you don’t realize that His love is designed to transform and align you with His will, you’ll end up taking that love for granted.

God’s Word encourages us not to yield to sin. “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”(Romans 6:13).

The word yield means to aid, assist, commend, present, or stand by. So, when the Bible says don’t yield, it’s a call to refuse to stand with sin. Every time you choose sin, you’re aligning yourself with death because sin always brings loss. Something dies each time you compromise your peace, your passion, or your sensitivity to God’s voice.

The Bible says, “The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.” (1 Corinthians 15:56). Sin stings and kills, but Christ has redeemed us from its power. Yet when you lower your guard, the enemy finds a way in just as Scripture says, “Whosoever breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” God will not condemn you, but your conscience will, because you still have one.

Beloved, you are the light of the world. The world watches how you live. You are called to demonstrate that righteousness is possible and that there is a better, purer way to live. Don’t yield to sin, yield to God. Let your life testify that grace empowers righteousness, not compromise.

SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2026

*THE CONSEQUENCE OF UNUSED TALENT*

“Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.” - Matthew 25:28 KJV

At times, we do not realise that every action has its own consequence. We forget that we are here on earth for a reason, and heaven is our home. Today, I have come to remind you of this fact and much more to remind you of the consequences of unused talent.

Before you read on, stop and think: In what area are you talented? What is that thing that you do rather effortlessly? Have you found a way to use it for the kingdom?

Many times, we think of talent in the church as singing, which is the obvious one. But that is not the only talent needed in the Church. You may not be able to sing, but you are good at event planning, so you can use it in the church. Yours may be administration, which is highly needed in the church.

You may be an engineer with a strong sense of sound, and the church will need that too. Some people are extremely good with children, you are important to the church too. So you can see that no talent is unnecessary in church, and none is more important than the other.

The Master gave each servant talent according to his ability. If you read the whole story, you will see what each person did with their talents. They multiplied theirs. The man with 5 gained 5 more. The man with 2 gained 2 more. Unfortunately, the one with the one talent looked at the other two and envied their talents.

So, rather than put his gift to use, he was upset that he got only one and buried it. When the Master returned, He did not explain the sharing formula. Rather, He took the one talent he had buried and handed it over to the one who had 5 talents and had doubled it.

What are you doing with the talents God has deposited in you? Don't be like the man who buried his. The church world needs the grace you carry. Put it to work and you will be glad you did.

FRIDAY 7TH AUGUST 2026

*ARE YOU PLAYING YOUR PART?*

“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” – Ephesians 4:16 KJV

One of the things that you must understand is that you are not in church to warm the bench. God does not make mistakes. He will not send you to an assembly where you have no assignment. Every church has a unique role, so for you to belong to that church, there is something in you that God expects you to use to serve that ministry in order to fulfill your purpose.

So, my question is: Are you playing the part or warming the bench? Are you sitting on the edge and watching your pastor and leaders struggle? Or are you a son or a daughter of consolation, contributing your quota to see that the assignment is done?

One of the things I am so convinced of is the fact that every church has all the resources it needs to carry out its assignment. If everyone plays his or her part, there will not just be enough but more than enough in the body of Christ.

Look at the church in the wilderness. When it was time to build, they made a call, and it got to a point where they had to send a word to Moses saying, “Stop the people, they have already brought more than enough.”
May we get back to those days where everyone will roll their sleeves and contribute their quota so that the church will not only have enough but more than enough. Then the church can be a blessing, not only to members but also to the world at large.

What talent do you have? How well are you using it? Do you know that there is a consequence for the lack of use of your talent? It is my prayer that God will help you to put your gifts to use for the furtherance of the gospel.
