‎*Palm Sunday: The triumphant entry of Christ into Jerusalem.*

‎This is a day set aside to celebrate our king, it marks the beginning of the Holy week. It is a day that brings to life the fulfilment of the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9 foretelling the entrance of our king, meek and humble, riding on a donkey...
‎
‎Donkey! Yes a donkey which symbolizes Peace unlike the war horses used by conquering kings, he demonstrated his role as a gentle spiritual king and not a revolutionary to upturn kingdoms through sheer violence.
‎
‎The day is celebrated with the chant of "Hosanna! meaning Save us; we pray thee!"
A testament to the fact that through Him alone lies the salvation of mankind.
‎It is filled with fanfare and waving of palm fronds. The palm branches signifies victory over sin and death showcasing Christ final triumph over death through resurrection.
‎
‎It is a day set aside to commemorate the transitioning of the celebrated welcoming to the follow up somber events of the crucifixion hence by 6pm on that Sunday we transition from "Hosanna to Hallelujah" as we usher in the passion week.
