*THE SEAT OF MERCY.*
The number 5 stands for mercy, favour and grace.

‎•When you want to enter the room of favour, you have to pass through the gate of mercy.

‎•If you want to be disgraced, fight with someone who carries grace.

‎

‎•Exo 25:10-22 (emphasis on verse 17). We discover the seat of mercy in verse 25.

‎•Seat of mercy is gotten from a Hebrew word meaning Atonement cover. It is a place of reconciliation. It is a golden cover which is a place where the Spirit of The LORD meets with the people.

‎•You cannot talk about the seat of mercy without talking about the Ark of Covenant. It represents the Presence of God amongst His people.

‎•You cannot enjoy mercy without the mercy seat and there are two ways to get the mercy.

‎•The mercy seat is where The LORD met with Moses.

‎•Learn a lesson from Benny Hinn. Gt a chair for yourself and another for The Holy Spirit. When you wake up in the morning, talk to Him like you see Him.

‎HOW DO YOU GET TO THE PLACE OF MERCY?

‎i. Acknowledge you're a sinner (ROM 3:23). David was conscious of God and pleaded for mercy whenever he sins (Psalm 51).

‎

‎ii. Humble yourself and confess your sin. That is, confess The Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour (James 4:7).

‎•Don't raise your shoulder because of gifts or position. Calm down, humble yourself!

‎•Whoever wants to receive mercy must humble themselves.

‎•If you're not ready to humble yourself before The LORD, forget about mercy.

‎•No one can get to any position without the mercy of God.

‎•If you're not careful, you may abuse mercy.

Like I promised to talk about this before closing these seven days of GREAT MERCIES REVIVAL, .

*The word Seat of Mercy is from the Hebrew word. "Kapporot" Which means "Atonement" Cover or place of reconciliation . It refers specifically to the golden cover placed on top of the Ark of the covenant in the Tabernacle and Temple* . . . *You may have heard people mention the mercy seat of God. And, depending on the translation you use, you may have seen a reference to it in the Bible. But it is not something that I find discussed much today. This sermon will take a look at what the Bible says about the mercy seat and why it is significant for believers today.

What Is the Mercy Seat?

The mercy seat is first introduced in Exodus 25:10-22.

Revival of Great Mercies
*🔥 DAY 4 SPIRITUAL CAPSULE – PRAYER FOR MERCY*

• Everyone knows mercy exists, but not everyone desires it.

Blind Bartimaeus desired it — and mercy stopped Jesus for him (Mark 10:46–52).

• Jesus is always interested in the one who seeks mercy.

• Mercy is a gift. It is not activated by noise, but by pursuit.

• “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy” (Romans 9:15).

Mercy is sovereign.

• “Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated” (Romans 9:13).

Mercy is not by background; it is by divine choice.

• God shows mercy to whom He pleases — He can bypass many to locate one.

• 2 Samuel 24:14 — It is better to fall into the hands of God, for His mercies are great.

• Psalm 23:6 — Mercy follows you.

• Psalm 103:8 — The Lord is plenteous in mercy.

• Psalm 145:8–9 — His tender mercies are over all His works.

• When mercy answers, rejection expires.

*Topic: The Election By Mercy*

*Text: Romans 9:11-16, 11:5-6.*

• When the Lord shows a man mercy, that man may be tempted to think he is better than his neighbor. He may assume it is his discipline, his fasting, his prayer life, or his righteousness that attracted God. But mercy has a way of exposing human pride.

• There were people who fasted for many days and never heard God’s voice.

• Yet there were others who were eating when Jesus walked into their house.

• Martha was busy serving, Mary was seated listening, and Lazarus—who did nothing at all—became the evidence of resurrection power. The difference was not effort; it was mercy.

• This does not mean fasting does not work. Prayer works. Sacrifice works. Obedience matters. But above all these stands a higher mystery: the election by mercy.

• Scripture says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” (Romans 9:16). God is not unjust, but He is sovereign. He visits whom He wills, how He wills, and when He wills.

• Mercy breaks patterns. Mercy rewrites order. Mercy interrupts routines. Mercy visits homes that did not even send an invitation.

• Zacchaeus did not fast for Jesus, yet Jesus said, “Today I must abide at your house.” That was mercy speaking.

• If God has shown you mercy, stay humble. Mercy is not a badge of superiority; it is a call to gratitude. You are not chosen because you are better—you are chosen because God is kind.

• And if you have labored, prayed, fasted, and yet it seems heaven is silent, do not despair. Mercy has a timing.

• God has not forgotten you. The same mercy that bypassed you today can locate you tomorrow.

• Let no man boast in spiritual activity. Let every man kneel before mercy.

• Because when mercy speaks, effort bows.

When mercy shows up, credentials are silent.

• And when mercy elects a man, only thanks

• Isaiah 57 — when mercy is absent, life becomes a mess.

• Mercy is a gift. God gives it to His elect (Romans 9:14–16).

• Mercy prevails over connection. When mercy speaks, helpers appear.

• Mercy makes a man a hot cake — sought after, valued, preferred.

• The candidature for mercy has nothing to do with your past. Mercy rewrites stories.

• Psalm 86:17 — “Shew me a token for good…”

A token is evidence. Mercy leaves proof.

• You don’t beg for mercy; in Christ, you access it by the Spirit.

• The gate of mercy is where delay is exchanged for speed.

• Mercy stops insults and silences mockers.

• Mercy clears debts like they never existed.

Restores reputation like it was never damaged.

Heals like there was never sickness.

• You need mercy to rewrite your family history.

• Mercy comes from the Greek word; έλεος *(éleos)* — covenant & compassion.

• Mercy is connected to the olive — and olive produces oil. When mercy rests on you, oil speaks for you.

• Mercy represents love, compassion, and great kindness beyond qualification.

• When mercy works for a man, others may think he is lazy. They do not see the oil behind the result.

• Mercy makes weak prayers powerful. In Luke 18:13–14, the man who cried for mercy went home justified.

• Mercy speaks louder than judgment (James 2:13).

• Mercy breaks protocol. It moves you forward when you should have been disqualified.

• Appointment precedes mercy.

• Grace appoints people for mercy with no prerequisite

• The qualification for mercy is not works — it is grace.

• When your set time comes (Psalm 102:13), mercy will announce you.
