Jesus Our Joy Devotional Study:
Today's Topic: CHOOSE THE GOOD PART:
Text: Lk. 10:42
"But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."( Lk. 10:42).
The Bible made it known to us that Jesus entered a certain village and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. Luke 10:39 says,"And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word."
Maybe Martha was busy running up and down so as to prepare for what Jesus will eat. But her sister Mary sat down quietly and listen to Jesus.
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.(Lk.10:40)
Active and practical service to God is essential and good, but our first and most important priority is love and devotion to Jesus, expressed simply in time spent with him i.e worshipping, listening and learning from his word. We must be very careful so as not to just being so busy doing the Lord's work that we do not take time to enjoy his presence. Or busy doing things for God that we do not take time to be with God.
Mary hath chosen that good part which are:
(1) Love and devotion to Jesus.
(2) Taking time to be with Jesus.

Jesus Our Joy Prophetic Prayer:
" And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation."( Lk.1:50).
The mercy of God is a blessing that is an act of divine favour or compassion. It is undeserved gift of God.
Our heavenly Father his a merciful God. When Moses beseeched God to show him his glory, the Almighty God said to him, " I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy."( Exd.33:19). The mercy of God is not of works, but of him that calleth; it is not of him that willeth, not of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.(Rom.9:15- 16).
But from the text quoted today, the only condition attached to the mercy of God is for us to fear God.
"And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation."( Lk.1:50).
To fear God is to reverence God. To venerate; to feel awe towards God. If you fear God, you will do what pleases him, and as well run away from sin.
Please fear God and his mercy will come upon you and your household in the mighty name of Jesus.

Jesus Our Joy Prophetic Prayer:
"But the angel said unto him, Fear not Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John."( Lk.1:13).
Zacharias was a priest and got married to Elizabeth the daughter of Aaron who was also a priest.
The Bible says, they were both righteous before God. Walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless ( Lk. 1:6-7).
THEIR CHALLENGES:
They had no child, because Elizabeth was barren.
I don't know which type of challenges you may be passing through. But something happened to Zacharias; the angel of the Lord visited him. " But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John."( Lk.1:13).
I decree and declare, today your own miracle has come, and the angel of the Lord will visit you. I prophesy into your life, that your prayer is heard. Go and possess your possession in the mighty name of Jesus. Good morning and have a blessed new day in Jesus name. ( Rev. Bayode)

Jesus Our Joy Devotional Study:
Today's Topic: YOU ARE A BLESSED PERSON.
"And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: for I tell you, that many prophets and Kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them."(Lk.10:23 - 24).
When we talk of blessing, what are we talking about? Blessing means some kind of divine or supernatural aid or reward. It is the act of declaring or bestowing favour or approval. It is also a thing one is glad of.
We have so many people today who doesn't know that they are blessed. Because their mindset was on material or financial blessings. Are you a Christian? Living in conformity to the image of be our Lord Jesus Christ? Please let it be known you today that you are a blessed person. A blessed generation because your eyes have seen what you need to see and your ears have heard what you need to hear - the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. To God alone be the glory.(Lk.10:23).
WHY ARE YOU BLESSED?
(1). You are a saved person. You have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.( Matt.1:21). You are saved from the bo***ge of sin and that of Satan. Sin and Satan have no power over you again.
(2) You are not of the world. You do not belong to the world, but are called out from it, as a result of this, we do not conform to the world's pattern (Rom.12:1-2;1 John 2:15-16).
(3) You are candidates of heaven.
The word candidate means what one is qualified for or to have. As a person, one can become a candidate of heaven by accepting Jesus Christ into your life and becoming a Christian. Heaven is the real place for a Christian.(Gen.22:11;Matt.5:48).
Brethren in the Lord, and also all my facebook friends, do you want to become a blessed person? Why can't you give or surrender your lives completely to Jesus Christ and live a life that conforms to his image? May God give you the grace to do so in Jesus name. I decree and declare, may the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ locate you and your family in the mighty name of Jesus. Good morning and remain blessed (Rev. Bayode)
