YOU WILL SMILE AGAIN
There are seasons in life when the pain is so loud, it drowns out the sound of hope. You wake up every day carrying the weight of yesterday, wondering if the future has anything better to offer. You go to bed tired, not just from the day’s work, but from fighting invisible battles in your mind and heart.
People see you outside and think you’re fine because you’ve mastered the art of hiding your scars. You laugh in public so no one will ask too many questions. You keep yourself busy so your thoughts don’t catch up with you. But when the noise fades, and it’s just you alone in the quiet, the tears you’ve been holding back finally break free.
Child of God, hear me: God has not forgotten you. Every tear you’ve cried has been counted. Every sleepless night has been noticed. Every prayer you whispered when you didn’t even have the strength to say it out loud — Heaven heard it. And the God who sees in secret is about to reward you openly.
The valley you’re walking through is not permanent. David said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…” he didn’t say he would stay there, he said he would walk through. That means there is an exit. There is an end. And beyond this valley, there’s a table prepared for you, in the presence of those who thought you wouldn’t make it.
You may not feel it now, but there is a version of you in the future who will look back at this very moment and smile, not because the pain was easy, but because the pain produced something priceless in you. Strength. Depth. Faith that cannot be shaken.
So hold on a little longer. Keep praying, even when your voice trembles. Keep standing, even when your knees feel weak. The One who promised is faithful. And when He turns your mourning into dancing, you won’t just smile — you will laugh the laugh of someone who has seen the goodness of God in the land of the living.
Your night will not last forever. Morning is on its way. And when it comes, you will smile again
