On Saturday 1st August, 2026, history was indeed made as the 1st and current Captain of 19th Amuwo Company wedded his beloved wife, Mrs Glory Uchechukwu at Christ Church Anglican, Ado-Soba, Diocese of Lagos Southwest.

The wedding was indeed a brigade wedding and featured parades, colour party, sword party and Fun-Fares as supposed in ceremonial brigade wedding.

Members and friends of Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade were fully in attendance.

Sure and Steadfast is the motto. Discipline is the character.

Glory be to God. It was a huge success. May God bless your union, Sir! Congratulations. We await that of your Best Man, Officer Ogbonna Obinna and Officer Izuchukwu Obasi (De Governor)🤣❤️⚓

On this day, Thursday 25th June, 2026, the Lord Bishop, Bishop of Diocese of Lagos Southwest, Rt. Revd Ebenezer Ajayi Adewole in company of the Bishop of Lagos West, Rt. Revd James Olusola Odedeji dedicated Christ Church Anglican, Ado-Soba (which is also the Archdeaconry seat)

Of course, there's no Anglican ceremonial Service without brigade. Anglican Church Brigade (ACB) was well represented. Colour Party and quarter guards were rightly featured in the epoch-making event.

The 19th Amuwo BB Company & 16th Ojo District 7 company GB officially celebrated their Brigade Week flag off today. To God be the glory, it was a very huge success 🙏🏼
The brigade week flag off featured digital skills training on graphic design and video editing as well as Liquid soap production workshop. The service had both Boys, Girls, Officers, lovers of brigade, patrons and patronesses of brigade, chaplain and church members in attendance. Colour Party flag bearers marched on and off the national flag, BB flag and GB flag to mark the importance of the brigade service.

We return all the glory to God 🙏🏼

We invite all lovers of Brigade to our BB & GB Week flag off at Christ Church Anglican, Ado-Soba, this Sunday, 10th of May, 2026 by 7am. We'll be having workshop on Saturday, 9th of May 2026 which will feature Graphic design, video editing and liquid soap production. Leading the younger generation to be productive is one of the visions of brigade. Come and join us!

Colour Party Flag Bearers marching on and off the Company Flags and National Flag at the just concluded 2026 Rededication Service of Christ Church Anglican, Ado-Soba Brigade.

Colour Party is a ceremonial performance by members of brigade showing honour and pride in brigade and the nation. It is led by the carrier of the national flag who is usually the highest ranked member amongst the flag bearers.

For church service, the flag bearers march on the flags at the beginning of the church service, pay compliments and hand over the flags respectively to the chaplain or any clergyman or any approved individual assigned to receive the flag. The flags are kept at the altar till the end of the service when the colour party flag bearers march to the altar to retrieve them.
Towards the end of the church service, mostly immediately after benediction and before recession and/or final closing prayer, the flag bearers march to retrieve the flags, then National salute is observed and the flags are marched off afterwards to mark the end of the service. In some cases, ceremonial parade is done outside the church after the end of the Church service. Colour Party Flag Bearers also play significant role as they add beauty to the overall parade activities. They also march on and off the Flags during the ceremonial parade, at the command of the parade commander.
