*GENESIS 3:9-15*
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
*MEDITATION SCRIPTURE* :
"He Answered, "I Heard You in the Garden, and I Was Afraid Because I Was Naked, So I Hid" (Genesis 3:10)
When Adam responded to the voice of the Lord with the explanation, " *I heard your voice and ran away because I was naked",* God asked him, " *Who told you that you are naked?* No one told him but his conscience did. The presence of God in your life is the glory that covers you and hides your shame. When you are a carrier of God's glory, Satan and his demons fear to cross your path because your presence constitutes a security risk to them. Before the fall, Adam enjoyed the glory of God's presence. He enjoyed fellowship and all that heaven has to offer but the moment sin came in, Adam lost his boldness before God; his sense of security and his fellowship with God were all gone.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (Rev. 3:17)
Sin strips you of the presence of God, leaving you with guilt and shame. Sin steals your boldness leaving you at the mercy of Satan. Eternally the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:23). If you are a victim of all the misfortunes caused by sin, there is hope for you in Christ today. Jesus is God's solution for the sin problem. Nothing else can satisfy the righteous demands of God's justice, only the finished work of Christ on the cross. Receive Him into your life today and you will be clothed with His glory and power. Even if you are a backslider God is willing to restore you and fill your heart with His peace once again.
*PRAYER* :
Father, help me to run away from any form of sin that it might be well with me.
