TEXT: JUDGES 16: 1 - 21.
THEME: THE COST OF EVIL RELATIONSHIP.
Everyone has his/her areas of weaknesses and the early you dictate your weakness and watch over it the better for you. Do not feel that the anointing of today will be enough to fight the temptation or spiritual battle of tomorrow. This is why we should ask God to feel us afresh with the Holy Spirit daily.
Samson has s*xual weakness that he doesn't see women without being aroused and he refused to take heed of this area of his life weakness. This is so with many people today in Christianity especially those anointed by God to be ministers of the gospel. No wonder we hear in the media of men and women of God ra**ng their subjects or being found dead in the hotel after random s*x.
Yours may not be s*x, it could be love of money, lies, stealing, hardness of heart, unforgiving, covetousness etc. please if you discover your area of weaknesses, try to avoid such area that you don't have power to control by keeping people as watchers over you.
Sometimes, we neglect things that could kill us by toiling with it. If you are weak in s*x, stop playing with the opposite s*x and if you are weak in money never accept to be a treasurer of any organization or accept to keep people's money. That thing you are playing or toiling with may destroy you.
After the Nigerian/Biafra civil war, one of my brothers went to the field and saw an object he didn't know that it was a mortar left by soldiers and started playing with it until it exploded and cut off one of his hands. Another story like it is a woman who was nursing and playing with piton and was very familiar with it but didn't know that it was growing. One day she traveled and kept it hungry for days and as soon as she came back and entered the room to play with it the piton bit her and she died. The last story was the one I saw with my eyes during our youthful days. After a rainfall, a young boy stated playing with electric earth wire , pouring it water and went and held the wire and it gave him a shock of his life.
I don't know what you are playing with now thinking you are matured and know yourself, remember sin does not respect title, position, age or maturity before it exposes you. How come that a man of God with anointing as a Nazarite is jumping from one unbelieving woman to the other to the extent of loving pr******tes and going to their brothel to have s*x with them and even lying on their laps?
If a man falls into fornication with a woman that came to his house, we can say he was tempted but if a man can go to the brothel to meet a harlot his case is no longer temptation but a wilful act of recklessness and messing up.
Do not ask me or wonder why his Holy Spirit power was still working to the extent of pulling out a city gate in Gaza and kept it on a mountain. Yes, the gift of God is without repentance. The fact that He is using you as He is using some ministers that are casting out demons and healing the sick and doing miraculous works does not mean He approves your unholy attitudes. He who is working with God must be holy because God will judge your reckless life after He has used you to accomplish His purpose. He is a Sovereign God.
Why did the people of Gaza not pursued Sampson when he pulled down their two city gates? This reminds me of a man who refused to pay his house rent to the land Lord but parked his Mercedes Benz in front of his flat and went to work. His landlord invited some hefty men who brought a big drum of water and lifted his Mercedes Benz and put it on top of the drum. When he came back and saw what happened he was quick to move away from the house because he said if the people who lifted his car to the top of the drum meets him they will kill him. This is actually what I thought made the Gazites not to confront Samson frontally.
