MESSAGE
Kindly go through the Part 1 of this discussion for a better understanding of this later part. We ended the first part with the question on the relationship between a tree's experience beneath the ground and human beings with regards to the journey of life. As the tree grows its root in the dark with so much resistance, so it is with man. Nobody sees you in the dark when you are pushing to survive and facing resistance from forces that don't want you to make it. In that dark period of your life, discouragements and depression would come knocking but if you can resist them and continue to push through upwards, light will definitely shine on you. Beloved, do not jump to bear fruit when you haven't established your roots. You won't last in that journey. Do not seek fame, people's recognition and applause when you haven't built capacity. Do you think Jesus was joking when He said, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." (Matthew 6:6, KJV) It is because He knew that your lasting achievements depend on the work you've done inside. Stop striving for people to know you and praise you, build yourself first in the secret and the world will celebrate you openly.

PRAYERS
1. Appreciate God
2. O Lord, hide me and build me in Jesus name
3. I receive strength to overcome all resistance to destiny in Jesus name
4. Power to bear lasting fruits, rest on me in Jesus name

MESSAGE
The tree is one of God's creatures that the Bible used to describe human beings as we can see in our Text. While warning the pharisees and saducees about repentance, John the Baptist referred to them as trees. "And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire." (Matthew 3:10, KJV) John mentioned two very important parts of a tree in his statement - the root and the fruit. This brings us to today's topic. The tree is one creature that always grows in two directions at the same time. It grows down and up at the same time. While the seed is planted, it starts growing under the ground first and later starts growing up. While growing down, it experiences resistance because it's roots need to push through the soil, dirt, stones and other obstacles underneath to be established. It also experiences darkness because there is no light under the ground; and dampness, that's moisture or humidity. Another meaning for dampness is discouragement, rejection or depression. Despite these pressure, it still springs up. That's exactly when people start seeing it and wait for its fruit. How does this affect you and I as human beings? For want of space, let's meet tomorrow for continuation.

2. Father don't let me joke with my preparation period in Jesus name
3. Forces assigned to cut short my life and destiny, be disappointed in Jesus name
4. Father give me grace to fulfill purpose in Jesus name

Theme: WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Text: Mark 10:46-47 (NLT)
Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road. When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

MESSAGE
Below was the communication between Jesus and Blind Bartimaeus. "What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.“My Rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!” (Mark 10:51, NLT) The blind Bartimaeus' case was one of the few cases in the Bible where God had to ask a person what he wanted. From that case we can pick that immediately the opportunity came, the blind man didn't hesitate to go straight to his need. Many people fail when an opportunity like this present itself, hence, receive nothing. "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." (James 4:3, KJV) Now, you see why some of your prayers are not answered - they are lustful, selfish, competition based and aimed at intimidating others. Another thing to note about asking from God is that though we are required to ask for our need, the request should also be in line with the will of God. We can see that in the case of Solomon. "That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” (2 Chronicles 1:7, NLT) At this point, Solomon asked for wisdom to govern God's people. He put God first before him, so, God granted his request and more. (1 Chronicles 8-12) Have you checked if those your prayer requests can bring glory to God or it is all about yourself and how to destroy others. In what way do they promote God's interest, His church and that of humanity? So, even when God gives you an open cheque to ask what you want, ensure you ask right.

PRAYERS
1. Give God praise
2. O Lord have mercy on me in Jesus name
3. I receive grace to ask right in Jesus name
4. Ask God what you want

MESSAGE
Yesterday, we saw a situation where the storm broke out against the disciples while Jesus was not with them. Today we have a different case. "But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion...” (Mark 4:37-38, NLT) In this case, Jesus was with them, yet the storm rose. This shows that even when you are a committed child of God and have Jesus with you, the storm can still rise. The first question we should ask here is, why did the storm rise? The answer is in verse 35. "As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” (Mark 4:35, NLT) The storm rose because they were to cross over to the other side. The other side represents your next level, major breakthrough, higher assignment or greater achievements. So, whenever the devil sees that you are about to leave the state of stagnation and move forward in life, he will like to fight. If that storm around you is not as a result of sin or loss of fellowship with God, know that your breakthrough is around the corner. In this case, you need to do what the disciples did. "... The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm." (Mark 4:38-39, NLT) Call on Jesus today to rescue you from any storm around you and peace shall be restored.

PRAYERS
1. Glorify God
2. I silence every voice of darkness speaking against my breakthrough in Jesus name
3. Storms positioned to stop or destroy me, cease now in Jesus name
4. Lord Jesus please grant me all round peace in Jesus name
5. My next level door, open by fire in Jesus name

MESSAGE
The storm represents the attacks of life. It is the devil's operation against a person. It is that problem that suddenly arises against your marriage, business, family, ministry, project or any good venture. In today's discussion, we will be looking at two reasons why storms break out. First, the storm broke out against Jesus' disciples. These were servants and co-workers with Jesus. They were the closest to Jesus as long as His earthly ministry was concerned. I hear some believers question why they suffer or go through pains since they are followers of Christ. Beloved, the first reason why the devil attacks you is because you belong to Jesus. So, know that christianity is a battlefield, not funfair. (Ephesians 6:12) The moment you become a Jesus' follower, you are the devil's enemy, so expect storm. However, the good news is that you fight from the standpoint of the victory that you already have in Jesus. Secondly, something preceded the storm. That was the miracle of feeding the five thousand by Jesus in which His disciples were also involved. Mark 6:30-44 This tells you that anytime you record victory or great testimony, the devil is not happy. Now, how did the storm stop? "Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped..," (Mark 6:51, NLT) Immediately Jesus entered the boat, the storm stopped. Leaving Jesus out of your life because you got a breakthrough or blessing can cause a big problem. Not, praying, attending church services or living right can open doors for another attack. So let Jesus come into the boat of your life again, the storm will stop.

PRAYERS
1. Thank God for life
2. Father don't allow me to walk without you in Jesus name
3. Lord Jesus come in and be in control of my boat again
4. I silence every power that's angry at my blessings in Jesus name
5. Lord decorate me with more testimonies in Jesus name

Theme: AVOID PRAYER DEBTS

MESSAGE
When we talk about debt, a lot of people think money only. Are you aware that prayer can be owed too? When the Bible tells us in James 5:16 to pray for one another, it's a proof that we can owe prayer to others. It is our duty as children of God to pray for others especially those who are in need. Anytime you sense the leading to pray for another person, you owe the person your prayers. Aside from praying for others, you can as well have a nudge to pray for yourself. Please don't neglect, delay or postpone it. Even if you have prayed concerning a matter and the nudge still persists, keep praying until the coast is cleared. In Matthew 26:36-44, Jesus had to pray 3 times at Gethsemane before heading to the cross. This shows that the first and second prayers were not enough for the journey ahead of Him. I remember when I needed to go to Law School but my clearance slips were nowhere to be found. My sister was searching in Lagos while I was in University of Calabar praying. I got up to go but the Holy Spirit referred me to Acts 2:34-35, "... The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool." Then, I knew I had to go back to prayer because what I thought was simple was actually a battle. After praying the second time, He referred me to 1 Thessalonians 5:24, "Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it." Peace took over me. Immediately, I called my sister and she said that she had found the slips. Until the Holy Spirit stops leading you, don't stop praying. Don't be like the disciples who went to the mountain to sleep instead of praying. Jesus even told them, "Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation..." (Matthew 26:41, NLT) At the end, they fled when it mattered most because they lacked the spiritual energy to win.

PRAYERS
1. Praise God well
2. Lord remove from me every laziness in the place of prayer in Jesus name
3. Holy Spirit help me to always be sensitive to your leading in Jesus name
4. I receive strength not to owe debts in the place of prayer in Jesus
5. Pray now

Theme: UNDERSTANDING SEASONS

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

MESSAGE
Understanding that life is governed by seasons helps you appreciate what God has in place for you. See what the Bible says concerning the sons of Issachar, "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do;..." (1 Chronicles 12:32, KJV) These men knew what Israel ought to do per time because they understood seasons. Hence, they were ahead of others. Some people are in the season of your life for a reason. The pharaoh that didn't know Joseph came to the life of Israel at that season to make Isreal realize that Egypt was not their destination. When you don't understand seasons, you will mistake preparation for suffering and blame people for maltreating you, not knowing that God sent them to shape up your life for a brighter future. Every season has its own lessons. When you don't understand seasons you will waste money, ideas, virtues, grace and opportunities reserved to preseve your future. Joseph understood seasons, that's why he was able to advise pharaoh properly. (Genesis 41) You need to know that the same God who created the rainy season also created the dry season and vice versa. In a season, Nebuchardnezzar was a king but in another season, he was an animal because he despised the grace and glory that made him. On the other hand, Joseph was a prisoner in a season and in another season he was a prime minister. David was a shepherd boy in a season but in another season, he was a king. In a season, Esther was a slave girl but in another season, she was a queen. God can turn your season around for good if you can trust Him, obey Him, be patient and not dishonour the grace that helps or lifts you.

PRAYERS
1. Thank God for whatever season you find yourself
2. Thank God for the good plans He has for you
3. Father help me to learn the lessons you want me to learn now for my future glory in Jesus name
4. O Lord turn my seasons around for good in Jesus name
