Topic: PUT GOD IN REMEMBRANCE

Devotional Reading: Isaiah 46:1-9

Memory Verse: Isaiah 43:26; "Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified".

The topic of our Devotional message today is "Put God In Remembrance".

God commands that we put Him in remembrance according to our memory verse of today and the way to do this is through sharing our testimonies, which is a form of spiritual Weapon that we can use to overcome the enemy of our soul. Testimonies are weapons in the hands of a believer. Revelation.12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death”. When you remind God of His past acts in your life or in the lives of others, He doesn’t deny Himself. And since He is not a respecter of persons, He is committed to do for you what he has done for others, if you put him in remembrance.

When you have a personal testimony of uprightness in your walk with God, you commit Him the more. Hezekiah’s prayer is a very good example of this: In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. Isaiah.38:1-5
Hezekiah would have died cheaply, were it not for his personal testimony which he reminded God, he put God in remembrance. He had a testimony, he presented his testimony before the LORD, so he didn’t agrue with Isaiah, but rather faced the wall and cried out to God. “Lord, is death the reward for serving you faithfully with a perfect heart?” with just a short effectual communication through personal testimony, Hezekial secured heaven’s express attention and intervention in his case, the death sentence was changed to Grace to live for another fifteen years.

I read the story of a cotton farmer in America. He had a cotton field and when the season for harvest came, the cotton buds refused to open up, and if that season passed without them opening, the whole field would be wasted. Worried over this, the farmer went to a man of God, Kenneth Copeland, who was in that area at that time and the man of God asked him if he pays his tithes regularly. The farmer said, “yes”. Copeland then aked for the farmer’s cheque book with which he had been paying his tithes and they both went to the farm and Kenneth lifted up the cheque book and said “Lord, remember now, that this farmer is a tither and a devourer has no hold on tithers according to your promises in Malachi 3:10. Hear now and answer”. On getting back to his field the following day, the farmer saw all the cotton buds had opened.

May the Lord help you to have a testimony that can speak for you, your family, businesses and ministries which can deliver you on the day of trouble in the name of Jesus.

Prayer point: My father and my God, by your mercy, give me the grace to have a testimony that will speak for me and deliver me, my family, business or ministry on the day of trouble in Jesus name

Key Dose: Remember that For your testimony to be a weapon that possess power, you must walk before God uprightly with a perfect heart.

Topic: FIND REST FOR YOUR SOUL

Devotional Reading: Matthew 11:20-30

Memory Verse: Matthew 11:28&29; "come onto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Happy new week to all readers of Dose of Heaven Daily Devotional, we are grateful to God for bringing us to start of a new week, to God be the glory. The topic we are looking at today, is "FIND REST FOR YOUR SOUL"

We currently live in a world that is full of problems, worries and confusion, many are running to wrong places to seek help which they can't find, the only place we can find rest and peace is in Christ Jesus.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ confirm this in our memory verse of today, I wish to encourage anyone who has not given his/her live to Christ to make up your mind and give your life to Jesus, he will give you peace, joy and rest. It is great wisdom to surrender your life to Christ.

Many believers today are not increasing in knowledge and wisdom of God because they are too lazy to gain divine access to the realm of God and to find rest for their souls. Our God is always merciful to those who seek Him. Jesus said “come onto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. The first thing to do is "COME" take my yoke upon you, and learn of me…” Matthew. 11:28-29. He didn’t say “come and cry or come and weep”, No! “come and learn” He is saying no matter how long that situation has been lingering. thirty-year old condition? Five years addiction? God will resolve them and give you rest. “come and learn of God ”. His Yoke is easy, much easier than the yoke you are carrying, His burden is light, much lighter than your burden. What it takes to connect with God and obtain help is simple and easy, all you need to do is invite him into your heart genuinely, and he will come into your heart. Revelation 3:20; "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me".

I wish to invite you to come and learn of Christ, and you will find rest for your soul.
Learning of God could mean searching for knowledge in his word or through divine inspiration. The Holy Spirit is a teacher of knowledge.

There is power in knowledge and nothing is above the knowledge of God. For instance if there is a challenging situation in your life, you can find other believers and make them your prayer partner, pray about the situation, have faith in God, the bible says in James 5:16; "The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much". Fervent prayer is that model of passionate and sincere calling out to God, whether out of thankfulness, repentance or need. The bible further says ' And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. There is healing in Christ Jesus, I pray for you today, whatever sickness is in your body, recieve healing today in Jesus name.

You must also read your Bible and seek for knowledge from the word of God, there are answers to every problem inside the word of God. The deeper you are in your quest for knowdlege in his word, the brighter and glorious your destiny becomes. You have a destiny to fulfil, it anchors on knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". You will not be destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus.

The acquisition of knowledge is a personal responsibility. No one can know or do it on your behalf, no one can be saved on your behalf. I will like you to know that no one can prosper or succeed for you, you have to do it yourself. I have come to understand that nothing happens by chance or on its own, there is always a price to pay, every object assumes a state of rest, until a relevant force is applied to it. My quest for deeper knowledge of God has greatly increased daily of recent. Like Apostle Paul, I want to know more of God because it is only those that have the revelation of God that can do great exploits in life and ministry. The Bible says furthermore in John 8:32 “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.

A diligent learner is a winner, an overcomer, a successful and triumphant Christian any day, anytime. It is the deeper search for God that makes you become god yourself, for the bible say - ye are gods. When the truth of divine health, for example, get into you in its fullness, sickness will depart from you. Also when you embrace the truth on divine protection and it penetrates your consciousness, all the mischievous plans of the wicked around your life will be exposed and destroyed. My challenge to you today is, learn of God and find rest for your soul, it is in learning of God that you become an overcomer and in return you become a trainer of knowledge. May the Lord give you a strong desire to learn of him, be equipped and find rest for your soul today in Jesus name.

Prayer Point: O LORD my father, help me learn of you and find rest for my soul in Jesus name.

Key Dose: For you to learn of God and find rest for your soul, you must be hungry for it, so develop a hunger to learn of Christ, and find rest in Him.

TOPIC: VICTORY OVER STORM.

Memory Verse: Matthew 5:12; "Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you”

Devotional Reading: Matthew 5:3 - 12

Happy new week to all our readers, we are grateful to God for the grace to see the start of another week, the topic we are looking today, is "Victory Over Storm".

“The LORD always stands by the faithful in time of storm, and if there was any loss, He compensates the faithful in multiple fold and greater measures. There can be no loss for a refined and redeemed child of God. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be returned unto them at His own time and in His own way and in greater measures. While it may not come at the time we desire or expected, but it will surely come. This was the experience with Job,
The bible recorded in Job 42:11&12;
12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

May the remaining days of this week be full of God's goodness and blessings for you and your household, in Jesus' name, Amen.

As a result, we are encouraged to hold our peace in time of storm, victory is sure for us. I want you to know that God will wipe away your tears, if you have wept over any loss, it will eventually be returned to you a hundred fold with tears of joy, rejoicing, praise and testimony in Jesus name. This is the attitude of those who truly understand the inner nature of the Christian life.

They are able to rejoice in persecution, hold their peace in time of storm because they know that life exist beyond this world. The values and character expressed in the Beatitudes are so opposite to the world’s manner of thinking. Our trials should strengthen our weaknesses and challenges, if we persevere and hold our peace; we will overcome and have the ability to encourage and comfort others. Storm when taken positively will give you experience to help and support others when they go through their own, you can say, you have been there. If people see us being strong in the midst of persecution or storm and know that we rely on God for strength: it is a powerful witness and testimony.

Paul and Silas were examples of this in Acts 16:23-31. After being beaten and thrown into prison, they prayed and sang praises to God “and the prisoners heard them.” What a witness! Paul the Apostle encountered much suffering in his work for the Lord, yet he rejoiced and persevered. As Christians, tribulation and persecution are to be expected. These trials help us become more like Christ. They also help build our faith and work patience in us.

They help us draw closer to God and trust Him more. We need to understand that God is in control and He promises to work all things for our good. The same God who neutralised Nebuchadnezzar’s furnace of fire for the three Hebrew children is still alive today, He will help you, He has promised never to leave or forsake us. All we need do therefore when persecuted, is to trust in the LORD and hold our peace, God will win the battle for us.

I pray for someone reading this devotional who may be going through one form of storm or persecution, My God shall arise and save you in this season, It is a New Season for you, the almighty God will help you come out pure as gold in Jesus name.

Prayer point: O LORD, let my loyalty and love for you remain strong even in the midst of persecution or storm in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Refuse to allow persecution or storm separate you from the love of God, hold tight unto God, and depend on his promises

TOPIC: TIME TO KEEP SILENT

Memory verse: 2 Kings 18:36; "But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not”

Devotional Reading: 2 Kings 18:17-37

Happy Mid-week to all readers of Dose of Heaven Daily Devotional, we thank God for his grace and immeasurable mercy over us and our families, the topic we are looking at today is "Time to Keep Silent".
It is not a good practice to always speak or reply when accused or confronted with difficult situations, there are moments when the best thing for us to do, is keep silent. Matters often escalate and get worse because many of the people concerned have not learnt the wisdom and power in silence. In an attempt to answer back, defend your point of view, oppose or counter a claim, most people talk needlessly which eventually worsen the situation.

The end result is that, a bad situation became worse. Most of the wars the world has experienced, the homes and marriages that have broken and destroyed, business organisations that have collapsed, can all trace their woes to the inability of the parties involved to control their speeches, especially in the face of verbal provocations. The aim of Rabshakeh in our text of today, was to cause disaffection among the common people of Israel and to bring about mutiny, unrest and rebellion. His words were meant to weaken the faith and trust of the people in God and in the ability of their king to defend them. But instead of joining issues with him and trying to prove or argue otherwise, the king commanded them to be silent.

Thus, they were able to hide their fear, leaving the enemy confused like a fool. Instead of answering back the enemy, they decided to take their complaints to the king who reported the matter to God. How we need to learn the wisdom displayed here. It is not every time that we must respond to the enemy whose aim is to rubbish and weaken our faith. It is even sad to see some Christians engage in very bitter confrontational arguments and entered into strong conversations with those they claim are attacking the Church. This is often what leads to many of the religious riots and unrest that have claimed so many lives.

Winning human argument or debate most often does the faith no good. We don’t need to defend God through provocations, hot conversations and arguments with unbelievers. God is capable of handling those that try to defame Him. Our homes and other relationships will fare better if we learn the principle of silence in the face of provocation. It is not a mark of weakness or stupidity as some may think; far from it, rather, it is a sign of strength and one of the most effective weapons to defeat the enemy.

I pray for you today that God will help you find wisdom at all times and use it when you need it in the name of Jesus.

Prayer point: My father and my God, by your grace, help me know when to speak and when to keep silent.

Key Dose: Silence when required is not a sign of weekness, rather, it is wisdom and sign of strength.

TOPIC: POWER IN SCRIPTURE

Devotional Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:1-14

Memory Verse: John 6:63; “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.

The topic we are looking at today is "Power In Scripture".

The book of Ezekiel 2:2 says “And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

From above scriptures, we can see that God’s word carries God’s spirit. In Acts 10:44 Peter while speaking in the house of Cornelius, the Holy Ghost fell upon all that heard him.The Holy Ghost backed up God’s word, and fell on them. God’s word carries God’s spirit and God’s power.

Every book has a spirit behind it. Some books were influenced by strong secrete powers, some hard drugs, some cultism and whosoever reads such books carries the same spirit and power behind the book, that is why you don’t just read any book when the author is not well researched out. But the Bible which is the word of God carries His spirit, whenever God’s word is spoken or engaged, His spirit is also released for performance. John 1:1 says God is the word. This is the reason why you must give yourself to reading the word of God regularly, why? whenever you release or receive the word, the power of God comes on your life to make possible the impossible.

Another dimension of the word of God is that: it carries divine light. John 1:4 tells us: “in Him was life; and the life was the light of men” and 1 John1:5 says “this is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all”. God’s word carries illumination, it lighten man’s path, showing man the right way to go and right steps to take. The power of light cannot be underestimated, when light comes into any darkness, it brings clarity to life. If you want to walk in the light this year 2026 and all the days of your life, be close to the word of God and walk in it, darkness will respect you, and forever give way to you.

Lastly, God’s word is prophetic. Every prophecy in the word you read or hear, are not just for hearing and reading sake, they are sent on a mission for a purpose, they are supernaturally empowered with power for fulfilment, for those who accept and believe, accomplishment will certainly follow. So whenever, you come across a prophetic word, don’t be slack about it, believe it, recieve it and place a demand on it, especially if it relates to your personal life or situation. Isaiah 26:3 says “thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.” Let me remind you again that God’s word carries enormous power and virtue to the point that it cannot fail or falter. The Word of God carries everything you would ever need in life and according to 2 peter 1:3. Cherish the word of God, place high premium on it than any book and as you believe and obey the word of God, it will work wonders in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

Make the word of God your closest companion all through this year 2026, it will transform your life and make way for you.

Prayer Point: My Father and my God, let your word illuminate my life and turn things around for my good in Jesus name.

Key Dose: The conclusion of the whole matter is that you fear God and keep his commandments ("His word's") It is the whole duty of man.

Topic: A BEAUTIFUL ENDING

Devotional Reading: Job 8:1-7;

Memory Verse: Job 8:7; "though thy beginning was small. Yet thy later end should greatly increase".

Happy gratitude Friday to all our readers, we thank God for bringing us to the end of another working week, to God be the glory.

The Memory Verse for our devotional message of today has words of encouragement for us, the situation around you today may appear small and humble, or things may not be going as quickly as you desire, whichever is yours, there will be a beautiful ending for you at the end of this year. The later part of this year for everyone of us shall be greater than the former in the name of Jesus. God is the beginning and ending, the Alpha and Omega which indicate that your life this year 2026 is in his hands. Another implication of this Name "Alpha" is that, He has been in existence outside time before creation, He has the power to start and to finish as he did with creating the universe, He can empower you to start afresh or give you a vision that will transform your life and he will stand by you and help you through. You must not allow the mistakes and errors of 2025 to repeat itself. We thank God for the victories, successes and achievements that God gave many of us, however, some people did not fulfil as much as they desired, while some cannot give adequate account of how they spent 2025.
In previous years, some have brilliant ideas that could turn around their lives; but fear of the unknown held them down, they cannot go beyond that point. Some were afraid to leave their comfort zone, i.e, change their business or employment for the new place of assignment God has sent them. In this new year, you must be prepared to make necessary changes and start afresh. You must be guided on the journey this new year, Our almighty God known as "Alpha" will help you, he will also guide you in the journey until you reach your ordained destination in Jesus name.

In this new year 2026, don't be afraid of taking a new appointment, commence a new assignment or start a new business, pray, be guided by the Holy Spirit, receive strenght to do it, you will succeed in Jesus name.

After the death of Moses, God told Joshua, Moses assistant, that he was now to take on the mantle of leadership for millions of Israelites. Even though Moses had earlier prayed for him, he did not receive the news with courage. How can a messenger become the father of a nation? What of the 70 elders and all other leaders under Moses? Joshua was afraid. God had to encourage Joshua in the book of Joshua 1:9; "Have not I commanded you thee? Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest". Some promotion can cause fear, but instead of allowing fear, pray and receive courage like Joshua.

In fact, some people have refused to accept certain promotions because they were afraid. Some think they cannot cope. Some think envious colleagues could jeopardise them on that seat. But all they needed is the courage of Joshua. When you see yourself in such a situation, instead of allowing fear dominate your mind, call on the God of Joshua, he will answer you, reveal Himself to you and give you the courage to go through victoriously. The time to turn down big openings from God has passed. Be ready to take on new assignment, new appointment, start new business, start new course program, Alpha, the God of new beginning is with you, He will help you through in Jesus name. Some are afraid to enter into marriage partnership with a brother or sister, some are afraid to start a building project or business project, pray away fear, ask Alpha to help you. Be sure It is the lord leading you, not your Flesh, friend or relative, my God will give you the courage and make all provisions available for you to succeed this year 2026 in the mighty name of Jesus.

I decree over everyone reading this devotional that Alpha, the God of new beginning will reveal Himself to you from today. Whatever you do this New Year will prosper and turn to blessings in Jesus name.

Prayer point: O LORD God of New Beginning, by your mercy, give me the grace to experience unusual achievements, amazing successes and gigantic breakthroughs this year 2026 by your grace and the power of your name in Jesus name.

Key Dose: Allow God order your footsteps this year 2026, and fulfil your purpose in life in Jesus name.

TOPIC: RESIST COMPLACENCY

Memory Verse: Acts 4:23-24; "Priests and elders had said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

Devotional Reading: Acts 4: 19 -24

The topic we are looking at today is - "Resist Complacency"
Without any doubt, God has given many of us various victories last year and until now, many prayers were answered, doors of breakthroughs were opened, mountains of problems were removed, hope was restored, as a result many people are quick to celebrate their victories and let down their guards, as a result, some may become complacent, this should not be allowed. It is not yet time to let down your guard, it is not yet time for Big celebrations, we must roll up our sleeves and do more. We must increase our efforts in making progress in life. It is important for us to know that when we win a battle, we must not be complacent, we should still remain battle-ready for another period of time while thanking God for the victory, why? Because the enemy never give up easily, in the midst of victories and celebrations, the devil can still strike. Matthew 4:1-12; after Jesus had finished fasting and praying 40 days and 40 nights, the devil came to tempt him, if Jesus had lowered his guard, became complacent and start to celebrate after the victory of the first temptation, He could have been caught unaware at the second or third time, but Jesus remained battle ready, he was able to win all the three attempts. Many people after winning their first battle usually get excited and start to jubilate sometimes in excess thereby letting down their guard in relaxed mood, the enemy can come quickly again to attack, some people have been caught unawares and fallen victims.

I listened to the testimony of a great seasoned and experienced man of God in Nigeria, he said anytime he prays and fast for a program and the program became very successful, at the end of the successful program, he normally spend a few more days in prayer and fasting to thank God for the victory and success of the program, this is how to keep our guard up even after victory. I learned a lot from the words of this seasoned man of God, I thank God for helping me put it into practice which has worked tremendously for me too, I recommend this practice to every reader of this Daily Devotional.

Imagine the disciples after their ordeal before the council of Pharisees was over, they let them go.
One would naturally expect that after they were allowed to go, they would start to jubilate and rejoice for the victory, No, they didn't, instead, they lifted up their voices to God in prayer. Their decision to pray was possibly informed by their believe that the battle was not yet over even though they had been allowed to go, it would be remiss of them to take their enemies for granted or underestimate their adversaries. It is important not to take your adversary for granted and as it is written in John 10:10 the thief (devil) has come to steal, kill and destroy and he will not give up until Jesus returns. Needless to say, that, from the time we gave our lives to Christ; we have enlisted in God's army; we are already in warefare engaged in battle against the devil, so you are on the devil's hit list! Many of us misinterpret the fact that the enemy has gone quiet to mean that the battle is completely over. This could have been the thinking after the disciples were allowed to go, but they knew better.

Many people have fallen prey to the deception of premature jubilation especially when the Lord had turned around our captivity following a long-winded battle with poverty, sickness, barrenness or any form of delay. As important as it is to give thanks in every situation, it is imperative we continue to press on in prayer and intercession regardless of the victory we enjoy. Don't think that because the Lord has opened doors of divine favour, breakthrough and blessings, it is time to relax. This is the time to fast and pray more than ever, you must guard your unguarded hour. Because the enemy goes quiet may only be to re-strategize and look for ways by which he can relaunch to pull you down. He might not be able to stop your blessing, but he will endeavour to get you carried away with the blessings to the point that you begin to focus on the blessings and stray away from the God of the blessings. So, you must be on guard at all times.

We need to take a cue from what the disciples did, who after they had been allowed to go, they continued to pray. We need to ask God for the grace to continue in prayer and fasting
despite our blessings, promotions, increase and breakthroughs because your adversary the devil is not relenting even after victory, so why should you go into relax mood and become complacent?
