WHY MEN ARE CALLED "GROOM”, AND THE WOMAN “THE BRIDE” ON WEDDING DAY?

Why is the newly wedded man called groom and the woman called bride?

A friend of mine got tired of his wife just about six months after wedding. He complained bitterly to me about her and told me that he has concluded to break up with her; he went on to say that he was sure that he made a mistake.

I did not respond immediately because I knew I must tell him that right thing, so I went home.

And that is what birth this message.

Many men have broken up with their wives because they end up not being the wife that they have dreamt of. But they have forgotten that on their wedding day was when the man was commissioned for the new task.

Nobody calls the woman wife on her wedding day but bride, because it is the man that will groom his bride to become the wife.

That is why the man is called ‘bridegroom or groom’ and the word grooming has to do with patiently nurturing, teaching, tending and helping someone to become what he or she should be.

It is therefore believed that a man that takes a woman to the altar of marriage is matured enough to patiently groom his bride to become the wife. The man is not supposed to just expect the bride to automatically become the wife, she must be groomed.

It is clear that many of us men have unnecessary expectations when we were getting married, we want some magic to happen to our wives, we want them to become what we have had in mind about who we want our wives to be; not considering the fact that the woman does not know what is on your mind except you teach her.

Our expectations are often too unrealistic, because we don’t remember that change takes time and we can only expect something from someone that knows what we want.

So before you think of breaking up, have you groomed her? Have you given her time to understand you? Hope you realize that a turtle will never become a hawk? God often brings people that are opposites of each other together in marriage so that they can help each other in their place of weaknesses.

If your wife is weak where you are weak, then where will you get the strength that is needed? The problem with many of us is that we don’t accept people before attempting to change them. Of course, our wives are not from our backgrounds, so it will take time for them to adjust.

Stop trying to change her, accept her, love her, teach her and be patient with her; that is what grooming is all about. She is going to be your wife but she is your bride now, so groom her. Stop complaining about her, she may be a turtle and you a hawk, she cannot fly so be patient with her.

I don’t believe that your marriage can’t work, be patient and allow God to help you.

And, aren't their governments ever-ready to ASSIST THOSE CHILDREN WITH MULTIPLE ABORTIONS, contraceptives, packs of condom, housing (so the young lewd can live away from parents), etc, etc.

IRONICALLY, PERSISTENTLY, THEIR GOVERNMENTS YELL TO HIGH-HEAVENS through worldwide media propaganda; whenever (to preserve divine values) the Arab World encourage children into wedlock. Or, if (to avert worse scenarios,) IMPOVERISHED AFRICA give children out for marriage,

And, that each male CHILD, (IN LIKE MANNER,) be "at liberty" to share with unlimited number of females AND FELLOW MALES; prior to "his" declaration of readiness for "marriage", or, of being in "wedlock".

*Some preventive measures AGAINST SCOLIOSIS.*

WE MUST ENSURE that
(1) (Collective) weight of all items in BACKPACK BAG that children carry to, and from school (or, "lessons", and wheresoever,) is not overbearing.

Bodies of children in nursery/kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools, are in their formative years: STILL GROWING AND MOULDING INTO FORMS, WHICH THWART UNDER REGULAR OVERBEARING WEIGHT, OR PERSISTENT PHYSICAL FORCE ON THEIR PHYSIQUE; OR, BY REGULAR REPETITION OF PHYSICALLY STRENUOUS ENDEAVORS.

(2) If children regularly need to convey strenuous weight, they SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED to frequently alternate their options of carriage. Ex: Strenuous weight should not (perpetually) be conveyed via right-hand, or, right-side only.

Should convey OVERBEARING WEIGHTS via right-side, and, left-side interchangeably, from time-to-time. Or, convey (simultaneously) with both, so weight bear on both legs, or, in-between right and left, (or, between front and back,) rather than, perpetually on one side alone.

(3) IF STRAINS, UNAVOIDABLY HAVE BEEN ON ONE SIDE ALONE, encourage children to, "try to balance the strains", through GENTLE EXERCISE OF BOTH SIDES, for reasonable length of time, before quitting chores.

Impact of SCHOOLS EXAMS MALPRACTICES

This happened at the Palms Shopping Mall in Victoria Island Lagos; This is very scary and could happen to any of us. Seems like every nice thing people do for one another can be perverted. This is a new twist to kidnapping from a very smart survivor.

About a week ago, there was a woman standing by the mall entrance passing out flyers to all the women going in. The woman had written the flyer herself to tell about an experience she had, so that she might warn other women. The previous day, this woman had finished shopping, went out to her car and discovered that she had a flat tyre. She got the jack out of the trunk and began to change the flat tyre.

A nice man dressed in a business suit and carrying a briefcase walked up to her and said, “I noticed you’re changing a flat tyre. Would you like me to take care of it for you?”

The woman was grateful for his offer and accepted his help. They chatted amiably while the man changed the flat, and then put the flat tire and the jack in the trunk, shut it and dusted his hands off. The woman thanked him profusely, and as she was about to get in her car, the man told her that he left his car around on the other side of the mall, and asked if she would mind giving him a lift to his car.

She was a little surprised and she asked him why his car was on other side. He explained that he had seen an old friend in the mall that he hadn’t seen for some time and they had a bite to eat, visited for a while, and he got turned around in the mall and left through the wrong exit, and now he was running late. The woman hated to tell him “no” because he had just rescued her from having to change her flat tyre all by herself, but she felt uneasy. (Trust that gut feeling!) Then she remembered seeing the man put his briefcase in her trunk before shutting it and before he asked her for a ride to his car.

She told him that she’d be happy to drive him around to his car, but she just remembered one last thing she needed to buy.

Smart woman!! She said she would only be a few minutes; he could sit down in her car and wait for her; she would be as quick as she could be. She hurried into the mall, and told a security guard! What had happened, the guard came out to her car with her, but the man had left. They opened the trunk, took out his locked briefcase and took it down to the police station. The police opened it (ostensibly to look for ID so they could return it to the man). What they found was rope, duct tape, and knives.

When the police checked her “flat” tyre, there was nothing wrong with it; the air had simply been let out. It was obvious what the man’s intention was, and obvious that he had carefully thought it out in advance.

The woman was blessed to have escaped harm. (Amen thank you, God!) How much worse it would have been if she had children with her and had them wait in the car while the man fixed the tyre, or if she had a baby strapped into a car seat or if she’d gone against her judgment and given him a lift?

I’d like you to forward this to all those you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of deviants in it. It may save a life. Better to be safe than sorry.

A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this to the ladies only; but men, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters and indeed everyone, you may want to pass it on to them, as well.

*PRAYERS THAT ARE CONTRARY TO GOD'S OBJECTIVES.*..
'If ... my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish.' John 15:7 NIV.

A fourth thing that can prevent our prayers being answered is unscriptural prayers: Jesus said, 'If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you' (John 15:7 NIV). People who live by the principles of God's Word can't pray to win the lottery, or for bad things to happen to others. They know God can't honour those prayers.

After leading the children of Israel in the wilderness for forty years, Moses naturally longed to enter the Promised Land, to 'go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan' (Deuteronomy 3:25 NIV). But in spite of his prayers, it didn't happen. Why? 'Because...the Lord was angry...and would not listen..."That is enough," the Lord said. "Do not speak to me anymore about this matter. Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan"' (Deuteronomy 3:26-27 NIV).

We may fall into the trap of wanting all the benefits of God's Kingdom, but on our own terms. Prayer isn't a lucky charm or a religious formula we repeat until we get the results we want. When our prayers line up with the Scriptures and are in harmony with God's will, he'll answer them.

So what now? Think about your unanswered prayer from a couple of days ago. Is there anything about it that goes against God's will? If so, ask him to help you pray from his perspective.
