Grand Chief Imam Of Somolu Friday Khutbah in the month of Ramadan, Grand Chief Imam Boonyamin Dabiri delivered a powerful reminder about the sacred practice of Iʿtikāf (spiritual seclusion) during the last 10 days of Ramadan. He emphasized that this period is a special opportunity for Muslims to withdraw from worldly distractions and devote themselves fully to worship, reflection, Qur’an recitation, and sincere supplication.
The Imam reminded the congregation that the last ten nights hold the most blessed night
Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree, a night better than a thousand months. Seeking this night with sincere worship can transform a believer’s life and bring immense rewards from Allah.

He cited the Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ:
"The Prophet used to perform Iʿtikāf in the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah took his soul." (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

Another Hadith reminds us:
"Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and hoping for reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." (Sahih Bukhari)

The Imam encouraged Muslims to increase their devotion, engage in Istighfar, make dua for forgiveness, and strengthen their connection with Allah during these final blessed nights.
May Allah grant us the opportunity to witness Laylatul Qadr and accept our worship. Ameen. 🤲
