قال ابن رجب : إذا لم يكن فى السمع منى تصاون @ وبصرى غض وفى منطقى صمت
فحضي اذن من صومي الجوع والظما @ فإن قلت انى صمت يوما فما صمت....
وقال احمد شوقى : ( الصوم حرمان مشروع ، وتاديب مشروع، وخشوع لله وخضوع، يستثير الشفقة ، ويحرض على الصدقة، ويكسر الكبر، ويعلم الصبر ، حتى جاع من ألف الشبع ، وحرم المترف أسباب المتع، عرف الحرمان كيف يقع، والم الجوع إذا لدغ.......
Ibn Rajab said : if I do not listen to what is right, my eyes are lowered, and my speech is silent..
So, I have been blessed with hunger and thirst from my fasting, if I say that I fasted one day, then I did not fast...
Ahmad Shawqi said ( Fasting is a legitimate deprivation, a legitimate discipline, humility and submission to God, it arouses compassion, encourage charity, breaks arrogance and teaches patience, until he who is accustomed to satiety becomes hungry, and luxurious is deprived of the reasons for pleasures, he knows deprivation occurs and the pain of hunger when it's bites..)......
