On the Spirituality of positive Confession
It's not just about speaking the right words over your life. It's about singing the right song with the right lyrics.
You are a believer in Christ.
Philemon 1:6 says acknowledge every good thing in you in Christ Jesus. It's about the song you sing, the prayer points and others.
Filter every song through the lenses of your redemption in Christ Jesus.
Dear brother and sisters, that song you are singing right now, does he reminds you of your righteousness and sanctification in Christ?
Or doesn't it want to make you earn your salvation by works.
Does the song disqualifies you from God's goodness?
What you are singing maybe taking you out of your realities in Christ.
Especially most of our native and tribal songs, many of them are words used to praise a heathen gods brought into the Christian faith because the words are just nice in themselves but does it reveal Jesus and his finished work in you?
CHORISTERS, every song is not a praise song. Does your praise songs ascribe adoration to God, or it stirs up your emotions and gives you goosebumps and at the end you are the one being adored.
And about consecrational song. Ensure those lyrics doesn't get too extremes like I will die for you jesus, if I don't pray Satan will make mess of me bla bla. Such promises in song often sets you up for defeat. And please remember Jesus didn't ask you to promise him anything. No body send you that.
In 2026, 99℅ of most tribal and native songs that are just nice words but has not correlation with redemptive truth are going out of my playing list.
Glory glory glory!!!
