*Wednesday, April 1, 2026: Wednesday of Holy Week (Spy Wednesday)*

*Scripture* Matthew 26:14–25: “What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?”

*Reflection* : Judas trades the Lord for silver. A tragic reminder of how easily we can exchange eternal value for temporary gain. Every day, we are faced with similar choices: truth or convenience, love or self-interest. Excellence demands integrity; choosing what is right, even when it costs us.

Long-term integrity is more valuable than short-term gain.

Good morning and have a blessed day!

*ASH WEDNESDAY — 18 February 2026*

*Theme of the Day: Return to Me With All Your Heart*

*Scripture* : Joel 2:12–18

*Reflection* : Ash Wednesday opens the sacred journey of Lent. Today the Lord calls us not to “perform” repentance but to truly return to Him with sincerity of heart. The ashes on our foreheads remind us that life is fragile and short—yet infinitely precious when lived for God. Lent is God’s chosen time for inner renewal, healing of relationships, and rediscovery of our spiritual hunger. Begin the season with openness: a willingness to repent, forgive, fast, and love more deeply.

*Saint Quote:*
“Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring.” St. Catherine of Siena

*Tuesday, February 17: Tuesday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time*

*Readings* : James 1:12-18; Mark 8:14–21

*Reflection* : St James teaches us about perseverance in the face of temptation. God’s gifts are steady and true; not fleeting or deceptive.
Today, Jesus calls us to remember that God’s care is real and constant. When anxiety arises about bread, about tomorrow, about provision, Jesus invites us to trust and to remember His past faithfulness. Let us open our hearts, be grateful for God’s gifts, and walk with Him in confidence rather than fear.

*Saint Quote* : “ Be not afraid.” St. John Paul II

*Saturday, February 14 — Sts Cyril & Methodius, Missionaries*

*Readings* : 1 Kings 12:26-32; 13:33-34; Mark 8:1-10

*Reflection* : The saints of the Word remind us: discipline in study can open hearts to Christ.
In the Gospel, Jesus feeds four thousand people with seven loaves and a few fish, showing His deep compassion for the hungry crowd.
There is enough in Christ to satisfy every hunger for food, for healing, for meaning, and for belonging. But it begins with thanksgiving and sharing what little we have. Jesus multiplies our generosity when we offer it with love.
On this memorial of Saints Cyril and Methodius, missionaries who shared the Gospel widely, let us commit to sharing Christ’s love and compassion not holding back even when our resources seem few.

*Saint Quote* : “Spread the Gospel through every good word and deed.” St Cyril

*Friday, February 13: Friday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time*

*Readings* : 1 Kings 11:29-32; 12:19; Mark 7:31–37

*Reflection* : In today’s Gospel, Jesus heals a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, showing His compassion and power to restore what is broken.
Healing always begins with touch and gesture. Jesus put His fingers into the man’s ears and touched his tongue. Sometimes God reaches into the hidden places of our hearts so we too may hear His Word more clearly and speak words of life to others.
Let us ask the Lord today for the grace to hear His voice more clearly and to speak words that build up, encourage, and bring hope.
Sin distorts clarity; confession restores it. Excellence requires honesty before God.

*Saint Quote* : “God never tires of forgiving; we tire of asking.” Pope Francis

*Thursday, February 12: Thursday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time*

*Readings* : 1 Kings 11:4-13; Mark 7:24–30

*Reflection* :
In the Gospel, a Syrophoenician woman persists in seeking Jesus’ help for her daughter. At first Jesus seems reluctant, but her faith and humility move Him to grant her request.
This teaches us that faith knows no boundaries. God’s mercy extends to all who call on Him with trust and humility. We may face rejection or silence at times, but persistent, humble prayer opens our hearts and brings God’s grace.
Today, let us bring our needs and the needs of others before Jesus with persistent faith, knowing that He hears those who call on Him with sincere hearts.
Excellence values humility. Like the Syrophoenician woman, faith is bold yet reverent.

*Saint Quote* : “Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues.” St Augustine
