BEFORE CREATION

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" Ephesians 1:4......

Did you know that God had a plan for you before the foundations of the earth? He created you to be holy and blameless in His sight. Why?

He chose you to be His ambassador, His representative in the earth. He created you to reflect His glory, character, righteousness, and holiness. Think about that for a moment.

Part of your purpose on this earth is to be a representative for the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! That should make you walk a little differently.

It should make you talk a little differently. It should make you think a little more carefully about the places you go and the things you do.

Remember, God will equip you to do whatever He’s called you to do. If there are things in your life that you need to change in order to represent Him well, God wants to empower you to overcome.

Dearly beloved, receive His strength and might today so that you can walk in holiness and be His ambassador everywhere you go!

THE ENEMY DECEIVES US

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." Ephesians 6:16........

Many jokes are made about the devil, but the devil is no joke. If a short time ago we had talked about Satan to Christians, they would have made light of him, but no longer.

Christians today want to know about the devil, about witchcraft, about the occult.

Many people do not know they are turning to Satan. They are being deluded because, according to Jesus Christ, Satan is the father of lies and the greatest liar of all times.

He is called a deceiver. In order to accomplish his purpose, the devil blinds people to their need of Christ.

Dearly beloved, there are two forces that are at work in our world today; the forces of Christ and the forces of the devil, and if you are asked to choose. Which one will you choose?

Praise the Lord!

May you not be deceived by the enemies today and forever in Jesus' name.......

The best way to choose the forces of Christ is surrender your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour today. Are you ready?

TODAY'S DEVOTION (25/08/26):

ROOT OF SIN

"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Romans 8:37.......

The basic problem facing our world today is not just social inequity, or lack of education, or even physical hunger.

We are finding that highly educated and well-fed people have greeds, hates, passions, and lusts that are not eliminated by education.

The root of sin in each of our hearts is extremely deep, and this is the basic cause of the world’s problems; only the fire of the Lord can burn it out.

Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" The heart of man is so terrible to the extent of killing one another for gratification.

This is precisely what Christ came to do. He didn’t come to treat symptoms. He came to get at the very heart of man’s disease. Glory be to God!

Dearly beloved, the knowledge of Christ you have is expected to eradicate your level of ignorance displayed in the things of the world. Don't be drowned in sin!

Praise the Lord!

For your heart to be devoid of sin, you need to surrender the heart to the Lord. Jesus is ready to help you, will you be ready to accept the help?

1. Thank God for the readiness of Jesus to help you.

2. Pray to God to root out the sin in your life, the shortcomings, and fill you with His love, so you may fight against the evil present in the world today.

TODAY'S DEVOTION (24/08/26):

BE GENEROUS

"The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." Proverbs 11:25.......

Another version of the Bible (NIV) reads the "b" part of the above Scripture as follows: "....he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."

Do you need refreshing this week? So many people go around overwhelmed, tired, worn down, barely getting by.

But that’s not God’s best. He wants us to prosper. He wants us to be refreshed.

Here’s the key: be generous and refresh others.

Is there someone at the office you can be a blessing to? Can you lighten someone’s load? Maybe a family member is going through a hard time. Can you help them out? Can you cook them a meal?

Refreshing someone can be as simple as a smile or an encouraging word. Don’t wait until you feel like doing it, that day may never come! Do it because the Scripture tells us to. Do it because it blesses the Lord.

Dearly beloved, look for someone to be a blessing to this week. Step out and refresh others; live a life of generosity.

As you do, you will be refreshed in return, and experience His blessing in every area of your life!

SOW RIGHTEOUSNESS

"The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward." Proverbs 11:18.......

God’s kingdom operates on a system of sowing and reaping. Have you heard the saying, “What goes around, comes around?” That’s really a spiritual principle.

What you sow, you will reap. The text tells us that when we sow righteousness, we’ll reap a sure reward.

What does that mean?

*Sowing righteousness simply means doing the right thing in the sight of God.

*It’s obeying the Word no matter what the circumstances may look like.

*It means showing kindness even when it’s undeserved.

*It’s walking in love and keeping the peace when you really want to say something different.

When you sow righteousness, you’ll reap a sure reward. That’s because God Himself is going to pay you back. He is the One who will multiply you when you honour Him.

Dearly beloved, keep doing the right thing even if the wrong thing is happening.

Sow righteousness. Stay in faith. Keep believing because He who promised is faithful, and there’s a sure reward in store for you!

TODAY'S DEVOTION (19/08/26):

BLESSINGS OF KNOWING THE TRUE GOD

"And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." Daniel 11:32......

The Almighty God is fully aware of human helplessness in circumstances of life, therefore, out of love, He offered Jesus as a remedy to anyone that will accept Him as Lord and Saviour.

This is the essence of the declaration of Jesus in Matthew 11:28 & 30 that says: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest… For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This is an open invitation to anyone that is labouring under the heavy yoke of the devil, anyone that is oppressed or in servitude, anyone experiencing stagnancy or fruitlessness, and anyone that needs physical, mental, or spiritual healing.

Jesus says, “come unto me and I will give you rest from all your troubles.” Come to Jesus today for deliverance from the strong hold of sin, addiction and all forms of immorality.

Come to Jesus and He will put an end to your mysteries, disappointments and failures. Come to Jesus and He will turn your sorrows to joy.

Knowing the true God therefore translates to salvation from sin and deliverance from evil. It is not burdensome at all because the relationship is based on the love of God.

Dearly beloved, everything depends on a sincerity to accept the reality of your situation and ask God for help.

First, you must accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, after which you must vow to walk away from your sinful lifestyles and embrace a life of holiness.

From this moment, the abundant blessings of the Lord will begin to pour into your life without measure.

Come to Jesus today, before it is too late. I will see you in Heaven in Jesus' name.

TODAY'S DEVOTION (18/08/26):

A REBELLIOUS GENERATION

"But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward." Jeremiah 7:23,24.......

King Solomon said in Proverbs 29:1, "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

This was the situation of the children of Israel at a time stated in Jeremiah 7:17-34." They had blatantly and completely turned away from the commandment of God. They gave themselves to the worship of idols and did a lot of abominable things in the sight of the Lord.

They were in captivity in Babylon but showed no signs of repentance from the sins and rebellion that led them to captivity.

Instead, they grew worse in idolatry and wickedness against God. They ignored the warnings from several prophets concerning the looming judgment of God upon them.

Surprisingly, even in their bad spiritual condition, they never ceased to offer sacrifices unto God. But of course, such sacrifices were an abomination unto Him because He was more interested in their simple obedience to His commandments than mere ritual observance of abominable sacrifices; Jeremiah 7:21-23.

Today, like the children of Israel, many still take God for granted and make jest of His ministers. The word of God has become a tired echo in their ears even though they attend Sunday Services in their various assemblies.

These are the days when comedians and worldly musicians are invited for entertainment during worship services.

God’s standards are ever the same. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity;” 2 Timothy 2:19.

Dearly beloved, if you continue to discard the warnings of God through His servants, then you may never escape eternal punishment in hell. Be warned!

Praise the Lord!

May you not end up in hell in Jesus' name.....

You can be set free from the bo***ge of sin and rebellion through the grace that is in Christ Jesus our Lord today, only if you allow Jesus into your life. Will you allow Him?

WARNING POINT:
To obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. Take counsel!

TODAY'S DEVOTION (17/08/26):

WHATEVER HE SAYS

"His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." John 2:5.......

When Jesus performed His first miracle, He was at a wedding celebration. His mother knew that in order to see His power at work, there was one key: “Whatever He says, do it.”

It’s the same way with us today. Our obedience opens the door to see His power manifest in our lives. Scripture says, “If we are willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land.”

In other words, we’ll experience God’s abundant blessing when we follow His commands.

Sometimes, we can be so focused on one thing we are believing for that we overlook simple obedience in other areas. For example, you may need a financial miracle.

Maybe you’re tithing and sowing like you should, but are you holding unforgiveness toward someone? That can block the blessing.

Is there anything else you know in your heart you need to do? Do it before it is too late.

Dearly beloved, ask the Lord to search your mind and heart. Don’t let anything block His power. Whatever He says, do it and watch that obedience open the door to His blessing in every area of your life!

One thing Jesus is saying to you is to come to Him. Will you come?

1. Humbly go to God submitting every area of your life to Him. Tell Him you want to be obedient to Him.

TODAY'S DEVOTION (14/08/26):

LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32......

In this day and age, it’s easy to become distracted, almost consumed with all the obligations we have on a daily basis.

Cell phones, computers, the internet have all made it so much easier to pack more into our days.

And while technology is a great blessing to us, we have to remember that how much we get done isn’t as important as how we treat others.

We should never be so focused on plowing through our “to do” list that we mistakenly plow past the people in our lives.

Ephesians 4:32 simply reminds us to be kind, compassionate and forgiving. If people had to be reminded back in those times, how much more do we need to be reminded today!

We should always be on the lookout for ways we can be kind to one another.

Can you share a smile with someone or an encouraging word? Can you help meet a need?

Remember, as a believer, you are the hands and feet of Jesus. Look for ways to serve one another. Sow a seed of kindness and watch the harvest of blessing in your own life in return!

Jesus is looking out for you. He wants to have compassion on you. Will you be found?

TODAY'S DEVOTION (13/08/26):

OVERCOMING TEMPTATION

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11........

When temptations come, let me suggest that you ask God for strength, and also to show you the way He has prepared for your escape.

One other word of counsel; be very sure that you do not deliberately place yourself in a position to be tempted.

All of us are not subjected to the same weaknesses and temptations.

To one, alcohol may be the temptation; to another, it may be impure thoughts and acts; to another, greed and covetousness; to another, criticism and an unloving attitude.

Regardless of what it may be, be sure that Satan will tempt you at your weak point, not the strong.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ has given us an example of how to overcome the devil’s temptations.

When He was tempted in the wilderness, He defeated Satan every time by the use of the Bible.

Dearly beloved, temptation is not a sin, but falling into it is a sin. Don't place yourself in a position to be tempted, so that you don't tempt your Lord.

Praise the Lord!

May you overcome every temptation that comes your way today in Jesus' name.......

To overcome temptation, salvation is essential. Will you surrender your life to Him today?

1. Thank God for the victory He gave to you in the past.

2. Pray to God to shield you with His Word, whenever you face temptation.
